The media keeps falling for the Snowden job over and over…..today they are claiming that the Pope was tapped by NSA. This pope came on in April and Snowden left his job in May….was gone for weeks on a leave. Something smells here.

    ///

    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/nsa-chief-to-my-knowledge-agency-didn-t-tap-google-yahoo-data-centers

National Security Agency Director Keith Alexander on Wednesday denied knowledge of an agency program that reportedly tapped Google and Yahoo data centers around the world without the companies’ knowledge.

“I don’t know what the report is,” Alexander said at a cybersecurity summit when asked about the Washington Post’s latest report on NSA surveillance, as quoted by Politico.

Because he is thoughtful and kind, I’m sure that POTUS has Already spoken with Sec. Sebelius to thank her for her strength amongst the jackals, and to be sure that she’s willing to keep putting up with all of this s**t.

  11. October 30, 2013 at 4:04 pm

    Good Best Coast afternoon, Obots.

Finally have a chance to catch up on the nooz.

So the NSA director is disavowing any knowledge of the blockbuster new revelations. If true, hopefully this will be the beginning of putting a stake in GiGi’s nefarious heart.

I am so done with the hecklers, or the interrupters—–whomever they were—-yelling about the pipeline, of which I can sympathize. But—–to rudely yell and interrupt the POTUS when he’s there to talk about health care……..grrrrr. Surely there is a more sensible way to make their case. What they just did accomplishes nothing, other than to irritate the people who are there to hear what the president has to say about the new health care law.

    • October 30, 2013 at 4:12 pm

And this is why the Left will NEVER achieve power in this country. Ever since the birth of the New Left in the 60s, it’s been more about theater than policy. The work of progress has been accomplished by minority communities and women; environmentalists have scored some signal successes. But mic checking a President WHO IS ON YOUR SIDE makes this President and his allies less likely to take you seriously.

Forcing people to give up their current coverage

    By Steve Benen

    ————————————–

First, we’re not talking about Americans who are suddenly being dropped from the insurance rolls. Rather, this is a period in which insurers are scrapping old, awful coverage plans and replacing them with better insurance – which for millions of Americans, will be subsidized through the law. Even if we look past the nuances involving grandfathered plans, consumers will be in a more secure position, so the notion that this is some sort of scandal is ridiculous.

Second, we knew all of this years ago. Some journalists seem to have stumbled upon this a few days ago as if it were new – you mean the White House knew folks with lousy plans would be transitioned to better ones? – but for those who paid even cursory attention to the process in 2010 and 2011, this is quite literally old news.

And finally, there’s just something extraordinary about listening to far-right lawmakers complain bitterly about consumers losing health care coverage. I’m genuinely amazed so many political reporters are so invested in the story.

The mild-mannered, always polite Jonathan Cohn blasted the whole narrative as “breathtakingly cynical.”

Republicans have repeatedly endorsed proposals that would take insurance away from many more Americans – and leave them much, much worse off.

As Cohn concluded, “Honest Republicans … should stop pretending that it’s possible to address the problems of American health care without disrupting at least some people’s insurance arrangements – because, after all, they want to do the very same thing.”

REPUBLICANS BAIL ON THEIR OWN HEALTH BRIEFING!

For all their fury, most of the House Republicans who had demanded their own closed-door briefing from the administration on President Barack Obama’s struggling health care rollout were no-shows on Wednesday.

Rep. John Fleming (R-La.) told reporters that “about 20 members” attended the House GOP briefing, at which senior Health and Human Services Department official Mike Hash laid out some of the issues facing the Healthcare.gov website.

Rep. John Fleming (R-La.) told reporters that “about 20 members” attended the House GOP briefing, at which senior Health and Human Services Department official Mike Hash laid out some of the issues facing the Healthcare.gov website.

The meeting was scheduled after House Republicans cried foul when they weren’t included in last week’s closed-door session with Democrats. The White House said Democrats had requested the briefing, but Brendan Buck, a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), deemed the snub “all the more offensive after [HHS] Secretary Sebelius declined to testify” at a House committee hearing last Thursday on Obamacare.
