I’m not a Clinton fan and this is waaaay early but also way funny,

It’s hard to believe but both Bill and Hillary had some major haterage from the GOP until at least 5 years after he left office. And in some ways he advanced their agenda more than the Dems. I would love to see Ms. HIillary Clinton as president JUST to piss them off.

Chips, do you like noise? Or is it that you simply love the buzz of continued chatter?

GE Chips, TOD! ………just got home from class…….gotta DVR my way to halftime of the football game, and catch the last 3 innings of the WS. BBL 🙂

To No Spin and BobFr (from last thread):
“Bobfr – I can’t get over the fact of all this kerfluffle about a website. This is frakkin ridiculous. Every time I see mention of it I think, are they serious? Really?

Then I saw some are trying to equate the site issues with a “scandal” for the administration…wtf??? What is disappointing is that even some democrats are adopting the framing of this non issue as if there is any legitimacy in comparing the kinks that are happening with the website (which is less than 30 days old) with the law itself.

I have to think I woke up in some alternate reality. It is as if $24Billion in wasted dollars never happened. The threat of the GOP deliberately shutting down the government and intentionally blowing up the economy never happened.”

I posted this upthread from No Spin’s comment, but wanted to call attention to the dereliction of duty by the national media in informing the public about the new LAW rather than anything they can use to point fingers at this administration:

There are 30 million stories out there, but the MSM chooses to ignore in search of manufactured “scandal.”

      thank you Arapaho.

“wanted to call attention to the dereliction of duty by the national media in informing the public about the new LAW rather than anything they can use to point fingers at this administration”

and that is why the work of Chipsticks, the blog tyrants and folks like Bobfr, Dudette, Linda from What is Working, you, and so many others is critical. Thank you all for your dedication and commitment to educating the public.

Our mayor is on my S**T List right now. Not.Impressed and he hasn’t said a word about health care for the millions in this city. For some reason POTUS likes this guy. I voted for him but only because POTUS likes him. I can see FLOTUS saying “What do you see in that guy??”

        October 24, 2013 at 9:44 pm

I kinda wondered what the deal is with him. I see a lot of people in ChiTown mad at him about school closings. Is he a BlueDog or something?

        • 28 forus50
          October 24, 2013 at 10:00 pm

I think he is pure politician, unlike POTUS who chose elected office to make the state then country a better place for those who don’t have access to money and power. I never trusted him entirely when he refused to endorse POTUS in “08 even though POTUS was FROM his hometown. He actually never did endorse POTUS; at least officially that I recall. If he did it was so late that it was irrelevant.

To answer your question though he was definitely a BlueDog when he was in the House. On the school issue I’m in the financial industry and don’t have kids so I no first hand knowledge on that issue. My big beef with him now is that he could be getting LOTS of free press promoting Obamacare and going around the city hospitals and clinics. He’s been totally MIA.

😦 You’d think with all the work he did to help get it passed, he’d be shouting to the rooftops!

there hasnt been one single event from an alderman. This is Chicago – the mayor can demand this kind of action. Not one single piece of literature. And he certainly isnt taking care of services. My route home is a minefield of potholes. He was the one who was going to get the city functioning again. Maybe if you are a downtown lawyer, but not the rest of the city.

        October 24, 2013 at 10:23 pm

checked out the mayor’s website to see if he was doing anything to help Chicagoans sign up for health care. There was a post about Chicago’s ‘campaign’ for ACA with a link. To the IL website which has info but if you want to sign up everything is through healthcare.gov. Rahm is doing absolutely nothing but taking credit for an imaginary ‘campaign.’

There are events in the city, but only through individual efforts. The Hispanic community is doing the most. If there is anything Rahm and the City of Chicago are doing, it ‘s the best kept secret.

Hmm? This would be finally Karma delivering the Sweetest Justice……..for Democracy.

55% of the 26M people are Black and Brown. There must be at least 10-15% caucasian Dems. Those numbers should have turned TX blue since 2004….2006…2008….2012.

HYPOCRISY, THY NAME IS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Racehl Maddow just had a terrific segment on the hypocrisy of Congressman Joe Barton who today was railing against the healthcare.gov glitches but beseeched everyone to have patience with the bumpy rollout of Medicare Part D under the Bush administration. What’s really hilarious about the crocodile tear coming from the Republican Party is that the hearings and fake outrage are helping to make healthcare.gov even better. The irony is absolutely delicious. So I hope they keep trashing Obamacare as it just keeps getting better and better. And isn’t it rich that Rafael Ted Cruz gets his cadillac healthcare coverage from GOLDMAN SACHS. Imagine that??? YOU on the other hand don’t deserve Obamacare because it is destroying the country. HAH…….

Don’t know if No Spin is still here, but this is worth watching. If you only have a minute, skip to the end of the video.

@Lawrence provides proof that the IRS has no authority to collect taxes against those who don’t comply with ACA mandate, while at the same time showing beyond a shadow of a doubt what an idiot Jon Karl is. The WHPC really are overpaid idiots.

@lawrence called this episode “Are you smarter than a WHC?”
