My favorite Bible story is when Jesus tells GOPs to ignore all his teachings abt helping the poor when in a voting booth.

Nothing like a couple of billionaires, spending their money to deny working poor health care coverage.

Isn't it ironic that the most ardent opponents of the Affordable Care Act are now complaining that people can't sign up fast enough?

REMINDER: Unless you can implement health care reform perfectly, STOP. But go ahead and invade a country with the army you have.

Hard to believe a party can have as many factions as the GOP and every single one of them has a completely unworkable worldview.

Hello.
G’nite TODers
Hey, you can get “sinsured” in Oregon. Also insured.
The GOP and MSM must think Americans are really stoopid.
Alot of folks on the other side of the world think the GOP are the MSM are really stoopid – and the jury is still out on those who vote for people like Cruz and Palin
Never mind the other side of the world; feel the same way and I’m Canadian!
BTW, jury is in…….boot them both out!!!!!!!!!!
Weird isn’t it – UK, Canada, Australia can vote in left wing governments and the right don’t go completely batsh!t crazy – mind you in my world the media controlled by Murdoch tried very hard to get the crazy alight – the worst hit job on a political party I have seen in my lifetime this year.
So US media attacks a black President and Australian media attacks a female Prime Minister – something in there about white male privilege.
You are correct, 99ts and we are stuck with “non-descript” Harper………will vote for Justin Trudeau next time…..let’s get rid of these old white males…..we need young blood everywhere in the world!
You have a better vantage point, I think. 😉
I’m here too !
Me, too! Been trying to post an old song forevah!
From me high school days back in the ’60s, and we’re all still singin’ the music!
oh no!!!!!!!!!!! (think T and M)
No! Somebody else!
were you referring to mitch the turtle?
No, I was just remembering one of my favorite high school songs. When you wrote “T and M,” I was then trying to divert your attention!
I was so busy at it, eh?
Poor Mitch Stewart!
What being on the winning side looks like (I’m not that cool!):
I love all the tweets to Pete Souza wanting to know who took the wedding photos 🙂
Ha! I missed those, but was wondering myself. He was probably directing the action!
In the 1970s my husband was the photographer of choice for most of his friends/family weddings (excepting the wealthy branch!) – when we married we didn’t think about that & he was so stressed out we have NO wedding photos. How times have changed – today every phone would be clicking every which way what way.
Everybody would have 50 images each!
Wow.
“A ship in a harbor is safe, but that’s not what a ship is built for.”
looks like our harbour!
Don’t think I’ve ever seen the ships stacked like that before!
I’m not sure I could go see that film. Have you, Alycee?
I’ve not seen this new movie; however, I’ve seen The Odyssey of Solomon Northrup, directed by Gordon Parks
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088148/
I saw it on Saturday. Now I am sorry I went. Brought up too many emotions. That happened in 1841. My grandmother was born in 1878 so she was not far removed from slavery, neither am I. I was born in 1946. At the end a few people clapped. There was nothing to clap about. The good man was not allowed to testify at the hearings because it wasn’t allowed in those days. So he didn’t get justice but he did work for the Underground Railway.
Reality …

Goodnight, TODville! Here’s to another great week when Barack Obama will still be our President!
It’s really very simple ….
… and, it’s not a hyperbole.
The outcome is ENTIRELY OUR MAKING.
#LandslideDEMS2014
YES WE MUST
good night TOD
Just checking in to see who is still up. Apparently every one has gone to bed. Bob, Just in case you see this tomorrow, I agree with your statement that the outcome of the 2014 mid-term Congressional elections is entirely in our hands. If Democrats show up in the same numbers as we did in 2008 and 2012 elections, the outcome will be indeed “Landslide DEMS 2014”! I personally think it’s time shun MSM limelight and start to seriously organize behind the scenes. That’s the most effective way to neutralize the negative mainstream media!
Thank you nath and agree with you, fully. Hope you have a good day!

Good Morning everyone…..
Good Morning Early Birds — Jovie …Prettyfoot…Early Morning Lurkers!!!
Sue in Seattle mentioned this in the previous thread…
“Koch Bros – It’s the Evil Thing”
Ezra Klein and Julie Pace bad mouthing the ACA website on Morning Junk.
Now I get it——Ezra just wanted to be on Morning Junk. That’s what all his ACA concern has been about. Never been fond of Julie Pace either and her “objectivity”. And noticed all of them jumping in on all the ACA bashing. They want NUMBERS! They cannot sleep until they get numbers! All topped with Joke’s loud, fake, bully laugh. Really gross.
I noticed over the weekend that every cable show starts and ends with Obamacare every hour on the hour.
I’m noticing this is the singular focus of the entire media today. Just saw a CBS tweet—-asking if rocky start is a “sure sign of failure”. Bashing on all NBC outlets also, local and national. It’s a swarm.
Anyone wanting a bit of face time on the tv machine knows that all they have to do is criticize President Obama. So it just makes sense that this morning Ezra Klein would be booked for Morning Junk. He has been pumping out the negative articles & tweets so that was his ticket to ride this morning.
I am reminded that Tavis ‘Please Pay Attention To Me’ Smiley all of a sudden shows up on Meet The Press because he had some complaining to do about President Obama.
Put it this way it didn’t help matters, the website.
Let’s just leave it at that.
Just so amusing that the GOP was against the ACA and now they are up in arms because the website is giving a little grief.
Well I have always said that the WH staff and some cabinet members/staff let the president down. Some goes so far as to not do the job , and it reflects poorly on this president.
Sadly!
Btw that’s Mcdonough to check tees things out. He’s a foreign policy expert not domestic.
The deputy COS is domestic policy oriented, she deals with congress, however.

Early Bird Chat!

Aside from MJ’s sinister glee, the question should be who allowed the website problems to escalate to the level as to become a threat to PBO’s legacy?……I’m sorry, you can scream at me, but where the hell is Kathleen Sebelius? She should have been on every Sunday talk show, MJ, everywhere…..PBO should not HAVE to be the one to have a “talk” in the Rose Garden….the problems should have been addressed PUBLICALLY before it reached this level,……Now, do I think that the problems were caused by Kathleen Sebelius? NO…I think she was lied to also but someone at HHS knew there were major problems and if they didn’t they should be fired ASAP……….and personally, I think the “problems” or “glitches” were put in the program on purpose……Lordy, I am tech challenged, to say the least, but it doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist to figure out if the States that are managing their own exchanges have workable websites designed by other firms, then the firm that designed the federal gov’t’s website F’d up, Big Time………and someone in the chain did it ON PURPOSE, paid by someone who wanted it F’d up……….You can tell I am very PO because of the stress this is causing PBO……by his own people.
CNN:
“Fifty-four percent say it’s a bad thing that the GOP controls the House of Representatives, up 11 points from last December, according to a new CNN/ORC International poll conducted after the end of the 16-day partial government shutdown — the first time since the Republicans won back control of the House in the 2010 elections that a majority say their control of the chamber is bad for the country.
The poll also found that 63% of Americans think that Speaker of the House John Boehner should be replaced, a view shared by roughly half of all Republicans. “
