Heeeeyyyyyy, ck! Good to see you! HowYOUdoin’? 🙂

    • October 3, 2013 at 7:44 pm

I was just thinking about you again, CK. What a terrible situation for everyone. So glad you’re safe but I bet it’s a real shock to the system. Never a dull moment in DC.

Oh hey, I forgot you work somewhere around where that horrible shooting took place today. Are you okay?

      • October 3, 2013 at 9:05 pm

Honestly, I am just emotionally exhausted of DC. Between today and the navy yard shooting and the shutdown, I am just exhausted.

        • October 3, 2013 at 9:08 pm

I’m so sorry, CK. The emotional stress of living there can really get to you. Please take some time to be good to yourself.

Certainly understandable. It must be awful. Can’t say what I’d do in your shoes. Find a way to take care of your spirit — whatever that requires. Stay close to those you love. Hug them and let out the tears when they come. Talk it out too. Remember we’re here for you.

Here’s today’s LA Times front page. The photo is of a German tourist at Yosemite.

How embarrassing is this for the US?

I’ve read that Germans are absolutely enthralled with the American West. No doubt they spend lots of good Deutsche Marks (I know, they spend Euros) here and have had their plans/reservations made well in advance. Hanging my head in shame.

    From yesterday:

    And this, also from yesterday.

I hate what the self-serving, idiotic GOP continues to inflict on the country they claim to love.

I wish it weren’t so, Arapaho, Our President has uplifted every country he’s gone to. I was looking forward to the connections with Southeast Asia.

Since I’ve abandoned the MSM on Twitter, I’m not up to speed on all the lies they’re spreading, but this from yesterday pretty much takes the cake — from Jon “Benghazi” Karl:

    And another:

Here’s more “tick-tock” on TP revolution and Boehner’s cave:

    Aug 22
“n August, when a first-term Republican member of the House from North Carolina hatched the idea of defunding “Obamacare” while funding the government, Reps. Chris Collins and Tom Reed didn’t necessarily think it was a good plan….”

“By mid-September, though, Collins and Reed had agreed to Meadows’ approach….”

took the liberty of adding my fav toon from AMK to this tweet

I swear I saw something in my Twitter timeline about Boehner promising on Sep 12 that he would deliver a clean CR, but am unable to locate that now.

It is so hard to keep up with the GOP stupidity:

“The Disposal of Excess Federal Lands Act of 2013 (H.R. 2657) from Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) would mandate that public lands Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming to be sold off to the highest bidder as a way of reducing the deficit. The areas to be sold are based on an outdated report from 1997, although the bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to “update” that report….”

It is imperative that Dems win the House next year.

Was this underreported by our echo-chamber MSM?

Everything I’ve seen about Mr. Srinivasan is that he is on the fast-track to SCOTUS nomination.

SCOTUS completes the hydra-monster our President has had to combat:
    – MSM who never admit that they were wrong (and their batting average this year is about .000)
    – emoprogs, or as Bobfr notes, emotarians
    – the idiotic, unpatriotric, treasonous GOP

Current non-RWNJ SCOTUS members should consider stepping down before our President leaves office.
