Saw it on the news. Apparently it’s spawned quite a few response videos — including one from the company she’s leaving.

    • October 2, 2013 at 6:37 pm

Really? The company she didn’t name is now outing itself? Good lord, corporate America can be stupid sometimes.

It’s one of those company’s that does the goofy animation videos of current events — like when Tiger Woods’ phliandering came out. I’ll see if I can find it. Basically it was along the lines of “We’re Hiring (to fill her slot)” with employees dancing around in the office like she did. Kinda tacky, if you asked me. Think it was on Good Morning America.

Oh, I wouldn’t mind seeing that if you find it. Sounds quite as immature a response as Reince’s.

Yesterday my African-American Studies professor mentioned the GOP Shutdown. Then I raised my hand and said, “meanwhile, Obamacare is ALIVE! Right on!” ;D

      Thank you!!!

      THIS right here:

“Americans’ respect for their Congress has, sad to say, diminished in recent years. But citizens still expect a minimal level of competence and responsibility: Pay the bills and try not to embarrass us in front of the world.
By those minimal standards, this Congress is failing. More specifically, the Republican leaders of the House of Representatives are failing. They should fulfill their basic duties to the American people or make way for legislators who will.”

whoa, when the knuckleheads they vote for shut down the govt and refuse to pay the dang bills… then all their character needs to be questioned.. and frankly when the majority of their bills are about abortion- then for damn sure their beliefs need to be questioned also. Sheesh they really like having rules apply only to the rest of us don’t they.

Bonehead speaks after meeting with PBO and the Turtle along with Sen Reid and Speaker Pelosi. He starts by saying the PBO said the he won’t negotiate. How about that? He summoned them to him only to tell them, “Feel froggish? Jump”

yes, that’s what happened. Boehner appeared, briefly.
A few sentences of RWNJ drivel, including “Democrat caucus” rather than the correct “Democratic caucus.”
      Classic disrespect.

Boehner at this moment and maybe for a long time is a full-fledged RightWing NutJob.

Looks like a unified front to me. Reid says one reason he was happy to be in the meeting, PBO was strong in letting them know he will not negotiate. If this wasn’t so sad because real people are hurting, I’d ask if I can get a ‘woot, woot’!!

All AP headlines are straight from Boehner’s office—-pre meeting and after—-which get sent out across the land. I saw the set up earlier—–the headline saying PBO must be open to negotiating for calling the mtg., that Boehner thought it was a sign they could “bridge differences”. All set up for the AP headline post mtg. —– Boehner says “Obama won’t negotiate.” Obama’s fault.

Not surprising our (TOD’s) House Doctor and Scholar-In-Residence, zizi were correct about our President’s “tone” at today’s meeting:

Also, Japa is right about how this (absolutely ridiculous, asinine situation) appears on the world stage (i.e., Iran).

Interestly, the CEO/editor-in-Chief of Al-Monitor (where @LRozen works) is a former advisor to Secretary of Defense Hagel (before he was SecDef):

Here’s an article that was published on Monday (the journalist/CEO is on the left in this photo):

Boehner can corral his goofballs and vote on a clean CR. POTUS can’t do anything.. except concede to their insane demans.. and honestly tn, would you really want him to do that? I believe this won’t last long. I hope for the sake of all those hurting, it will end soon- but that is up to the repubs- to do the right thing.

Worry? PBO is at the helm and one thing that we’ve come to know about him is; he doesn’t bluff, he will go along with you unless you cross him, and he won’t let you take his kindness for weakness. There’s a few pirates, and a few former Al Queda members, and some PUMAs holding meetings asking themselves where did they go wrong.

VP Biden tried to warn them…..PBO has a spine of steel and an iron fist in a velvet glove.

    • October 2, 2013 at 7:40 pm

tn, I’ll try to say this as gently as possible – On 4 Nov 2008, we knew the 3rd Reconstruction had been launched. We knew the unfinished business of finishing the Civil War stood before us. We succeeded in re-electing President Obama and knew that this day would come.

For 6 months the GOP, with budget bills passed in both House and Senate, blocked all efforts to go to Conference. They intentionally have made this their last stand. They know that if they fail, the 3rd Reconstruction will not only continue, but their Confederacy will forever be rendered irrelevant. The demographics of America will overwhelm them and the quality of the middle class will expand.

Understand that you are afraid. But, we are not going to stand down. If they want a prolonged battle, we absolutely must take it to them.

It’s all on the line and the line is as clear as it can be. President Obama is not and will not ‘cave’ on this issue because if he did our Constitutional democracy would end.

        great historical and political context – and PBO just made the same arguments in his interview with Harwood in the previous blog post;

can you please either keep posting this in tweets?

or if your busy schedule allows, can you do either one of those insightful letters or write up for the blog tyrants to put on the front page?

I too am frightened for our Country and it’s not a question of trusting PBO…I trust him with all my heart….but….he is dealing with terrorists that are full of hate and ignorance….without drones or Seal team 6.

        October 2, 2013 at 8:07 pm

and just to be clear….it is imperative that PBO knows that we have his back and we will be his weapons.

Coward says what the President is doing is ” Dangerous ” !

      • October 2, 2013 at 7:32 pm

And what the GOP is doing is completely reasonable?

JHC, we live in a world where up is down and black is white (according the DC echo-chamber).

Byron York is as elite and conservative (aka “snob) as they come, and he reports that less than 10% of House is holding the entire country and global reputation of country hostage.

But of course, it’s all Obama’s fault.

Wish ALL DC MSM were part of the furlough because of their epic wrongness this year.

Saw mention of the UK Telegraph’s coverage of the death of Iran’s “cyberwar commander” on a previous thread.

Caveat: The UK Telegraph was WRONG about Team Obama 2008 and 2012 campaigns, oh, about 34,986 times, so my first reaction to their “exclusives” is “wait and see” — actually true of nearly all Brit media.

She says after getting over some awful after-surgery nausea, she is feeling better and the pain she is having is bearable.
