Ha, I completely cheated VC – used the search function in the admin section, found myself ranting about this creature, ooooooh, several times over the last few years. And his tone so often? PBO is uppity. Ah, say no more.
A search FUN-ction….hmmmmm. So when do we TOD plebs get our search function for our individual past comments here? Shouldn’t be too hard to rig up after your recent in-the-wilds technological masterpiece.
😆 The WordPress search thingie on the main page is USELESS!! It’s beyond me why they can’t come up with a better one, it surely wouldn’t be too hard for techy-big-brains?!
‘The WordPress search thingie on the main page is USELESS’
Having tried it myself more than once I have to agree. Which is why I’m calling on your creative brain to come up with an alternative. I would prefer it to be a bit prettier, I mean more sightly, version that your latest doodad, but am willing to compromise on the looks within reason.
JO’B I reread Dwyer’s tweet, in case I was too sleepy last night and so read undertones that weren’t there.
‘WH again condemns violence in #Egypt, but still refuses to call a coup a coup. $1.3 B in aid keeps flowing. Obama, meanwhile, is golfing.’
I still find the final sentence quite telling in its negative implication. Caesar sleeps while Rome burns; Obama golfs while Egypt implodes. Not to mention placement of other words like ‘but still’ ‘refuses’ ‘flowing’ aid etc.
My conclusion is that if he meant it to be objective he needs to work on fine-tuning his word usage.
He is engaging in RW dog whistle fodder. PBO’s so called “refusal to call a coup a coup” echoes the nonsensical and disproven RW talking point that PBO refused to call the Benghazi attack an “act of terror”. The snark about PBO golfing is playing on the racist belief that PBO is lazy which is very popular among the Tea Party set. The general tone of his tweet is negative and snarky and I commend you for calling him out on his b.s.
Naw. He needs a suit of armor and a phone booth. Mr. T use to say, ” I pity the fool”. Too late. He now has Chips and JO on his case. When those two “ladies” finish gnawin’ on his ah, er ass, as it were, there won’t be enough left for a hungery hyena. ROFLMAO!
Wish I had more to “report” back, Yardarm, with your confidence and all (Ha!), but the Dwyer guy gave in a little too quickly. Poor baby.
I sent him a few more tweets, then he responded and I wrote my final poke … life’s too short to spend more time on this joker! (He’s of the Luke Russert variety! I pity the fool, too, more for that reason!)
@devindwyer Look forward to your objectivity, depth, broad-based news coverage, as the eyes and ears of the public you serve. #Journalism
Chips, I love you my beautiful one. That is why I call you my ‘ Brilliant, do not mess with , firm to the core great leader here in charge of this family. Love you my beautiful Chips HZ
J’O you are cutting this little fly , @devindwyer, all over the place. You go my J’O. Love it. Tear his arse up for me also. HZ
Yardarm, I just love the socks off of you. You say it right all the time. Thank you my dear special friend. Love it. HZ
Keep it moving, TOD family. I love my TOD family .HZ
The Egyptian military regime sees the Muslim Brotherhood as a threat to its control over the Egyptian government. Before he was overthrown, President Morsi was engaged in a deliberate campaign to consolidate his power over Egypt’s government, which the military and its moneyed allies saw as a threat to their longstanding political dominance.
The Brothers, for their part, believe they were duly elected and deserve to rule. With neither side interested in backing down, the stage is set for more protests and crackdowns. Or worse: Cairo-based analyst Issandr El Amrani believes the military wants the Muslim Brotherhood to take up arms so they have an excuse for an even deeper crackdown.

This is going to take all the genius of PBO..to find a path thru this…
CHICAGO — President Barack Obama’s administration has announced $67 million in awards to organizations that will help people sign up for insurance under the new health care law.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced Thursday the Navigator grant awards to 105 organizations in states that are letting the federal government run their online insurance marketplaces.
The Navigator program will be particularly important to the health law’s success in some Republican-led states that aren’t doing any state-directed outreach to the uninsured.
The grant winners don’t have much time to hire and train outreach workers. Enrollment for the health law’s new coverage options starts Oct. 1, and benefits kick in Jan. 1.
Navigators must complete a training program developed by the federal government and pass an exam.
Where’d they get the funding? Repubs have done everything they can to keep the administration from being able to know anything about ACA’s implementation.
Concur deeply Allison and sherijr. He will still manage to rise above all of it, and we must remember, we do have his back. That is who we are here, for sure. And this fact also drives them crazy. HZ
She should volunteer to send her kids and family members to go over to Egypt to restore order. This is the real world, sometimes there are no easy answers or solutions to the world’s problems. PBO is not Egypt’s president (nor is he a “Magic Negro” that can solve all problems with a snap of his fingers). The Egyptian people have no obligation to provide the US with a happy ending to the Arab spring. They are having a civil war, just as we had (the effects of which we are dealing with to this day). “Nation building” is not this country’s strong suit, as PBO wisely realizes. Taking a patient, wait and see approach does not translate well in a 24hour new cycle, as Banfeld’s ignorant statement clearly illustrates
Oh, and he lived most of his childhood years on welfare. His mother, and her mother before her, and his sister – who has 5 children with five different fathers – have all lived on welfare. His father, my husband’s evil twin, gave support when he hadn’t gambled all his money away.
And these are ‘good, Catholic, white people’. I guess if you’re white, you are absolved from all criticism for your ‘theft’.
I can’t get into another argument today. I have a migraine, work sucks and I wish I was out to lunch with my husband for our 33rd anniversary.
Take a deep breath and carry on. What you think and feel is all that matters. Have a really happy 33rd with your hubby. In this day and age, getting past 10 seems to be a real challenge for so many. I always tell people ‘go where the love is’. That’s why I come here.
We had a quiet night together, made a nice dinner, polished off a bottle of champagne and shared how grateful we are to have each other. He bought me flowers, I brought him a chocolate cake. It doesn’t get any better than that.
What can I say,57F, except ‘poor thing’ to be so closely surrounded by so much out of touch- ness? Fortunately, TOD is a true haven from, and for, so much.
He didn’t! he really didn’t say this, did he?! This is the insanity John McCain unleashed on us because of the dingbat he deemed worthy of the vice presidency.
Good lord. RT @txvoodoo: Cuccinelli: those w/ non life-threatening illnesses & no ins "need to live with it" http://t.co/vj4uenDfco
57, Terry McAuliffe, as imperfect as he is, has to win Virginia. North Carolina has already become a cess pool and so will Virginia if the cookoo guy is elected. Virginians have to fight back now.
I completely agree. I really dislike McAuliffe – I think he’s a smarmy, DLC jerk – but I will actually send him a few bucks because we must elect Democrats. Without it, we get stoned back to the 12th century. With McAuliffe, we will have sane governance and move the ball down the field in the progressive direction. There will be Medicaid, highway funding, disaster relief and any number of laws that return common sense and decency, even if he is not my perfect McDreamy Candidate.
I heard it.
And I saw him. 😆
I shouldn’t be grinning, but it’s good to hear him speak rationally. Indeed, it’s good to hear him speak, period.
Look at you, Speedy!
Ah ha, so you only have pics of VC, the turtle, but none of VC, the flash of lightning? Hmmmmmmm
Good Afternoon Fellow TODers 😉
Congrats VC……on your Gold. 😎
Thanks podium buddy. It’s always good to have others willing to stand beside me. ;);)
Now, that made me laugh! “Dull tome” – THAT, she is!
Loved it!
Hahahaha. I approve.
This poor ABC reporter will be sick of me by tonight … maybe sooner! Ha!
You’re the best J!!!
CC, you have awesome recall! 😀 I am always impressed at the way you have facts literally at your fingertips. Way to go!

That’s so great, on so many levels.
Remember when Carter installed solar panels and then Reagan sold them to “save money.” Glad PBO is bringing them back.
I thought this hadn’t been a first. Good for Carter. Typical of Reagan.

i think a lot of the funding was front loaded when the law passed…..probably in the HHS budget
Gotcha. I do know that the evildoers have been able to hamstring a full media campaign. It really is despicable. Traitors.
I listened in the car- to POTUS. He is so down to earth, rational and sensible… if folks would just listen.
Their racism blinds them to knowingly admit President Obama is a genius!
that is definitely true, Allison.

Oh, holy shit – ANOTHER nephew spewing RW/libertarian b.s. about the distribution of wealth as ‘theft’. And he’s a police officer, for God’s Sake!

Wow! That’s impressive. I waited 3 months. But either you know or you don’t. congrats!
I was 30 years old, he was 40 years old. We were ready.
Happy Anniversary! Hold on to love.

Thanks for this information, Jovie.
Thanks for posting this Jovie. This was the safeguard to prevent the GOP from defunding the law through budget based sabotage.
The reason Chief Justice Roberts……went from No to ACA to Yes overnight. He hung on to the taxation funding of it.
