You see who really knows how to party hearty here.
Where are the other party animals?
Thank you, Ms. Chips for everything.
It is such a beautiful day here in NYC.
I am so glad to be alive and POB is enjoying hopefully a peaceful vacation with his family.
Wonderful, caring, intelligent people here(even though they are slow getting up)

Hi, LDS. Did you catch the mayor’s debate last night? And, if so, how did it go?

Good morning, Jackie. I did not.
I had so much reading to do and joined the late party here.
I am sure it went well. Friends kept me posted, I have to go back and read their comments.
We cannot wait for that “little man” to leave and take Christine with him. She is so not ready for this City. He wants her there to carry on business as usual. He has bought enough terms here. What is left to buy, Gov. President? Too much money for such a small man. Dangerous, very dangerous.

      Good morning, Africa!
Three is a good place to be. Definitely not a crowd here.
Rise&Shine people will be dragging themselves here-ish shortly.

Did you dance to all of that FUNK last night?
Ms. Dudette and Mr. Yardam were brining it out something fierce!
I still have George Duke playing in my head…….
I am going back to listen again I know before the day is over.
      Have a good day!

Thank you Kiwi!!! Yesterday was so good I’m thinking of making this my Day-After-My-Birthday-Day so I can carry on celebrating. Or would that be greedy?

Chips, I thought we were celebrating your “birthday month”…still quite a few days to go! and no you would not be greedy, you deserve all of the love and affection you are being shown!

        • August 14, 2013 at 8:18 am

They took” night owl”to a whole new level!
I personally feel that we should keep this going until 2016. What the hell are we going to do?
I mean, Billary is not my cup-of- tea right about now! Or ever will be…..

Great morning LDS! I agree with the partying until 2016…and I think we can keep this blog going after that if only to follow what extraordinary things PBO will accomplish post Presidency! and we will have to wait and see what candidate we will have for 2016…hopefully not Billary!

        August 14, 2013 at 8:48 am

Definitely not greedy, Chips. I think a week minimum for every birthday. The day after is the time to bask in the glow and enjoy whatever treats you got. Surely with all the cakes that got baked you’ve got dessert covered for a while. And then there are always the slow pokes who present “sorry I missed your birthday” treats. Easy to string it out for days and days and days…………

Your NYC correspondent checking in……Clear win in last night’s NYC Mayoral debate. Bill De Blasio by a mile, not that the corporate owned newspapers aare reporting it that way.
Little known fact about Bill–he was Hillary’s campaign manager for her successful Senate run in 2000.

Yes!!! leading for the first time by 30%, anniebella. The MSM in NYC are calling his lead “stunning.”
Bill is ahead in the polls and since my last post I’ve read newspaper opinions giving him the win in the debate last night. It is looking good for this great candidate today.
27 days to go until the primary.

Seriously…what will we (and MSM) do after PBO leaves office in 2017? The man is on vacation, yet we (and MSM) can’t get enough of him – need to know every last minute detail of his vacation. We need to see pics, read articles, watch video clips, hear from the locals who saw him. We even want to know what Bo is up to. As much as MSM loves to criticize him, they are obsessed with following him, need to know what he ate for breakfast lunch and dinner. Every thing in MSM eventually comes back to PBO….

Seriously, I ask again, what will we (and MSM) do after PBO leaves office in 2017?

    • 52 Layla
      August 14, 2013 at 8:49 am

In 2017 we will continue to follow PBO HF because he will not be done with his accomplishments! As for MSM, they will continue to be “garbage collectors”…no offense to the legitimate garbage collectors or as I like to call them “environmental specialists”

hopefruit2, 2017,we will be pitiful when POTUS and FLOTUS leave that WH for good, make that walk toward the helicopter, turn around and wave good-bye. I’m already getting sad thinking about it, so let me change the subject.

FLOTUS put her plans on hold for POTUS, but as I said we will be sorry to see them leave the WH, but I have no doubt whatever either one of them do in the future it will be great.

HF, you are so correct. While we’re in D.C. For POB’s second Inauguration a taxi driver shared with us how they were so glad to see so many people because that fool GOP media were predicting a low turnout. He said they had to find people to give tickets for GWB’s second Inauguration because no one wanted to come…,,(probably even him).

    • 60 jackiegrumbacher
      August 14, 2013 at 8:51 am

Hf, I’ve no doubt that PBO will do great things after his presidency so I vote for continuing to follow his achievements wherever he goes or whatever he does. We could have a little section each day on what’s happening in the current WH in the year 2017 and beyond. But the REAL meat would be what our wonderful president is doing. That way we would always have smiles on our faces.

    • August 14, 2013 at 8:51 am

I can understand your dilemma, hopefruit, but I know the TOD family will still have a boatload of stuff to talk about regarding the wonderful Obama family. I can hardly wait to read his “aftermath” book!!!!!

      August 14, 2013 at 8:59 am

Dudette, me, bowing!! Thank you so very much. This was a powerful and quick turn around. It was on my local news this morning. They showed the family talking about how the hospital said they could not put the kid on the list because he did not make good grades and had trouble with the law. Then the hospital staff was shown saying they could not be sure he would take his medication regularly and that the heart would be wasted that could go to someone else. Yikes!!

Then the reported shared about how the hospital had changed its mind. Shame on them for even trying to watch this child die, pre-judging him. As a child advocate, I view this as child abuse.

Thanks again, for your vigor on this.

The people in charge, I guess the hospital said that they wasn’t sure the young man if he got a new heart he would do the things he must do, like take his medicine, keep his appointments, in order for the transplant to be a success. If the boy want to live he and his family will do what is needed. I’m just glad they change their mind and put him on the list. Now let’s hope and pray he gets a heart and he does do all the things he have to do, and he goes on to do great things in the future, show them that his life matter too.

How ridiculous is that, Africa! They think the CHILD won’t want to take lifesaving medicine or that his FAMILY won’t see to it hat he does? That is total bullsit. And who says to a CHILD, well you didn’t get good enough grades in school and you got in a couple of fights, so you don’t deserve to live? A doctor/hospital that specializes in CHILD healthcare said that!!!! Are you freakin’ kidding me?!!!

I ‘m just glad it worked out. Very likely the hospital got bombarded with angry phone calls from not just regular folks, but DONORS and they just couldn’t stand the bad publicity. I saw a tweet from a guy who worked with Ryan Seacrest’s Foundation on the hospital’s TL — they had just recently visited the hospital and presumably were looking at giving them some money but were reconsidering I’m sure. There were messages from others who specifically said something like “I’ve given this hospital my money & time over the years and they do something like this?” So I have no illusions that the threat of lost $$$ wasn’t a factor.

At least it didn’t get dragged out over a long period of precious time and Anthony’s now at the top of the list. So many people will be doing the happy dance for a long time! Can’t wait to watch this young man get his new heart and watch his progress toward a happy, healthy & successful life! Bless Anthony and his family!

Morning! I’m here and ready to go:) LDS…Official TOD Party Animal! You don’t even come up for air:) africa, it’s at LEAST child abuse! Closer to playing God, if you ask me. They should NEVER have even FELT that way about that child. I’m so glad they changed their tone and agreed to place him on the transplant list…I hope he gets his new heart and goes on to lead a productive, happy life and gives back to the world 10 fold….and I hope that he stuns the world with his accomplishments.

I also think that Bob Cesca was correct. If his parents hadn’t raised the roof and put this out to everyone through social media….he’d be dead. They saved his life because they spoke up loudly and pushed back. Proud, parent love.

  10. 75 hopefruit2
    August 14, 2013 at 9:16 am

I was contrasting a few recent events, e.g., the hospital agreeing to give the 15 yr-old a heart transplant after the story got out and people put pressure, and Goldie Taylor raising cash for a needy family about to lose their power.

This is what effective activism does – it generates positive results for those who most need it. Activism should NOT throw $$$ in the pockets of frauds or get them gigs on Cable TV or book deals, while failing to generate tangible results for those in need. The emoprogs and Limousine Liberals who sit behind their computers, gin up outrage and paranoia, while not lifting a finger to actually do a damn thing for the people they claim to be “concerned” about, need to start taking notes….

    • 76 sherijr
      August 14, 2013 at 9:34 am

Exactly hf… I am so thrilled for the young man Anthony.. and don’t doubt that it was indeed ‘people pressure’ that prodded the hospital to do the right thing.
