Hi Bobfr, I looked up DeKalb County in GA., and the United States Congressman for that District 13th is :Congressman David Scott.
He does not accept emails from those who are not his constituents, but I feel that we all are very concerned about this.

I have seen this Congressman on tv several times. I feel if we can make this known by contacting Mr. Scott via Twitter, Facebook, etc., we may be able to move some people to see what is causing this type of decision.

        davidscott.house.gov/distrikal.htm

Washington Phone:202- 225-2939. I know that they are home in their but if we can see if we have someone from GA within our family here, maybe they can contact Congressman Scott’s office there.

Bobfr, can this be put into a tweet for Congressman David Scott? TY, Bobfr. HZ

This is horrible, dudette. Old man Cheney gets a new heart and this young boy with his whole life ahead of
him gets rejected. Everything about this is terribly, terribly wrong.

      The “chilling last sentence”:

“But if sea level is capable of rising several feet per century, as Dr. O’Leary’s paper would seem to imply and as many other scientists believe, then babies being born now could live to see the early stages of a global calamity.”

Brutal and spot on assessment of MoDo, and the other idiots of D.C. conventional wisdom…

And what, anyway, is MoDo’s alternative strategy? Win over Eric Cantor with a few Martinis? When Mitch McConnell is fighting for his electoral life because of threats from his right, does MoDo honestly believe Obama’s Capitol Hill schmoozing would help? If John Boehner cannot control the House GOP, is it really the president’s back-slapping skills that are at fault? This is 2013. We could wish the GOP were the same as it was in the 1980s but it ain’t. Then MoDo stumbles onto the truth … and leaves it lying there on the sidewalk: His White House runs on the idea that if you are virtuous and true and honorable, people will ultimately come to you. (An ethos that “sometimes” collides with political success.)

That “sometimes” is a classic. It almost reminds me of the Monty Python Life of Brian skit about “what the Romans ever did for us”. Obama’s political style is useless, apart from becoming the first black president, saving the US from another Great Depression, succeeding at getting universal healthcare, rescuing the American auto industry, presiding over a civil rights revolution, ending two failed wars, avoiding two doomed others (against Syria and Iran), bringing the deficit down while growing the economy, focusing the executive branch on climate change, and killing bin Laden. Yes his ethos “sometimes” “collides” with political success.

But no, he has never obsessed about whom the capitol is buzzing about – i.e. boomers and their Clinton obsession. Which is proof enough of his transformation of American politics. He has transformed it so much that MoDo cannot even understand how he has been so successful.

I would just like to mention – I am a boomer – and I have NO obsession with Clinton – either one – any one. In my world the 2 items about the Clinton administration that reached our shores – Health care fail by Hillary & impeachment proceedings against Bill.

Dept. of self promotion: I put together a post on some amazing technological advancements in Science and 3-D technology….From ears to arm casts

“A 3D printing technique developed by scientists at the heriot-watt university in Edinburgh produces clusters of human embryonic stem cells – a breakthrough which could pave the way to purpose-built replacement organs for patients, eliminating the need for organ donation, immune suppression and the problem of transplant rejection. the technique will enable more accurate human tissue models to be created – which are essential for drug development and toxicity-testing.”

President Barack Obama spent another day on the links, then attended a cocktail party at a West Tisbury home Monday. … The president and first lady left the party at about 7:30 pm, returning to Chilmark. … The White House then sent pool reporters home, indicating the Obamas will not venture out again this evening. http://www.mvtimes.com/2013/08/12/more-golf-friends-obamas-16828/

“The advocacy group Special Operations Speaks (SOS) recently announced that it is circulating a petition and would be placing billboards in Boehner’s congressional district calling out the Speaker for turning his back on the cause. “ONE MAN stands between the American people and the Watergate-style Select Committee needed to get to the truth and deliver justice. It’s not Barack Obama. It’s not Eric Holder. It’s not John Kerry either,” the email announces, “House Speaker John Boehner is the ONE MAN blocking a real investigation of Benghazi.””

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made headlines last week with the release of a study that showed obesity rates among low-income preschoolers declining for the first time in decades — down in 17 states and up in only three. On the same day, Gallup reported that the percentage of Americans who went to fast-food restaurants at least once a week had dropped by 9 percentage points since 2006.

“I think we’re right at a tipping point,” Kass said, shedding his jacket as he sat at a picnic table in the sweltering August heat. The White House garden, the first big vegetable patch on the grounds since Eleanor Roosevelt’s victory garden during World War II, produces about a thousand pounds of produce a year. “Last year, fruit and vegetable consumption was up 6%, which came as a great surprise. We’re seeing much greater awareness across the board about what we’re eating and how much we’re eating and trying to make sure we’re getting balanced meals on our kids’ plates.”
