@JeffersonObama Emoprogs are as bad as teabaggers. Their preferred position is “in opposition”. That’s easiest. Governing is hard.

@JeffersonObama: Emo’s spend time nit picking single issues in a vacuum ignoring PBO’s wide effort of energizing & resurrecting middle-class

    Jeff Gauvin ‏@JeffersonObama 1h

Emoprogs never find solutions or acknowledge improvements…..just fucking blame Obama. This woman on Alex on MSNBC now.

It’s like they’re Naderites looking for a place to land. They are loud, but they are few. They get way too much air/print time considering the low numbers they represent, imo.

Since their definition or nickname starts of with emoProgs…….well, as Samantha…..the Witch would say.

Emotions are just not conducive to analytical thinking.

LH, Jefferson Obama (Jeff Gauvin) has been fighting the emo nonsense for a long time. He really has nothing but contempt for them since they are all talk and no action. When it comes to the hard work of electing someone or actually governing they will not soil their hands with dirty work. It’s oh so easy for them to sit on their posteriors and cast brick bats. He’s a real fighter and one of my favorites on Twitter.

Hi jackiegrumbaacher. How are you today? I am fine. Danced off some pain this early morning. Had my quiet/loud time. Then sat and listened to our beautiful First Lady’s introduction of our wonderful President. Jackie G., you are so beautiful, our president always speaks with so much compassion. I was crying by the time he finished.

I am preparing my celebration for the first day of our First Family’s celebration of their family time together during this vacation time. Lord knows, they both need this time. I just pray that they have so much fun and laughter while they are together.

I am doing a few chores as the spirit hits me. I got a Swiffer and now trying that out. Arranging my tea tins and clearing some pots to make room for the new ones. Sipping my delicious Organic Strawberry Ale to help with the gut pain. So my day is looking good at the moment.

I just hope and pray that President Obama and VP Biden will be able to bring our men and women home from the war. I can see how this pains his heart to know that he will see so many more being coming home in ways that we can’t even see as he sees them when he goes on those visits. He has such a compassionate heart and that keeps him steady. I hope and pray that we here will always call out those who continue to speak hateful things about him when our men and women have put their very lives on the line for all of us.

That is why that photo of those two women(even though they have the right of speech and to assemble) but it hurts when I see signs like those when he is going to speak on behalf of the American people our thanks to our veterans. That photo just did not make appropriate sense to me. It hurt so much, JackieG. I just said, how ugly and also disrespectful to the men and women inside that Disabled Veterans Convention who served us so those two women could stand out their and exercise freedom. It just was so inappropriate in timing and location. My mother always taught me to make sure that did what was appropriate and do it in the appropriate time, no matter how much freedom I had before me. You know, Jackie G. But we are going to be fine with President Obama at the helm.HZ

              August 10, 2013 at 5:35 pm

HZ, I agree that those women were a repugnant bit of hatred that had no place at the president’s speech to wounded veterans. The president and First Lady will be fine. They have lived their lives with this kind of hatred surrounding them, but they also know how much they are truly loved by millions of us. These two women are to be pitied. They were either paid to do this, in which case, they sold their souls for money, or they are twisted by racism and lies. In either case, they will not survive in anyone’s memory beyond this one photo that will soon be forgotten. Our president will be remembered as long as there is an America.

Your Organic Strawberry ale sounds great and I hope it eases the pain, which I wish you didn’t have to deal with. As you relax today, remember that two national elections have proven beyond a doubt that there are more of us than there are of them. We just have to come out and vote and making that happen will be our most important job in the next year.

Jackiegrumbacher, you are so right. It just makes the blood boil when there is constant hatred. I know daily that if it wasn’t for loving, praying, and hard working supporters like those of us here and all over the country, our President could not do what he does. He totally understands that. However, sometimes I get a little touchy because our lovely First Lady is having to take in so much of this crap as well. She and Dr. Biden are working so hard for our military men and women and for this to have to see this as they are going to such an important appearance, it pains the heart. I know that FLOTUS can and will be fine, but sometime we take up the struggle and help both of them to walk this journey with a less headaches.

I know that the work that we are doing in August and beyond will pay off at the polls in 2014. That keeps me grounded. So we will hit the ground daily and do what is required of all of us to make sure that President Obama has a Congress that will work with him as he finishes his second term. We will be fine, I am sure.

The Organic Strawberry ale is very smooth and nice. My medical plan now seems to be doing some measure of good for me. I see my doctor on Friday. Getting all things in order so I will be able to go full force with my TOD family as we bring home the Winning Ticket for 2014, thus giving us full joyfulness to enjoy our president. HZ

I’ve often wondered why some (most?) politicians’ wives allow themselves to be publicly humiliated by their husbands.

              August 10, 2013 at 8:47 pm

The media – attacks them whatever the do – but if the women criticize their husbands the latter with the help of the media turn on her – “he would not have strayed if she had been a good wife” etc etc. The women who simply leave and find themselves a new life without saying anything for or against their (ex) husbands fare the best. It is still a sexist world.

In truth, 99ts, I find I have more ‘respect’ for those who don’t implicitly condone their husband’s behaviour by standing beside them and sharing their humiliation. I’m not suggesting they all divorce the weaklings (after all nobody ever knows the inside story), but i have a problem with the women standing beside them in public support. Probably makes no sense, but that’s how I feel.

                  Hi VC

I blame the life style – in so many cases the wife and children are “home alone” and the husband is leaving a “single” life. In a style reversal – I worked away from home for many years – it does not do anything good for family relationships. The one left at home does much of the work in keeping the relationship together. I think the “stand by his side” is good if the family wants to stay together – the problem is the media grandstanding about why the wife should leave. Especially within the GOP there are still many women who are treated as 2nd class citizens – they often don’t have a lifestyle alternative to supporting their husband. Guess that’s my take on it – while I wish they did have an alternative.

“I think the “stand by his side” is good if the family wants to stay together”

But she can stay with him and keep the family together without having to be on display in the media. I’m a believer in the privacy of certain emotions/relationships – old school not washing dirty laundry in public. I’m somewhat nauseated? enraged? disgusted? insulted? when she actually, literally stands by his side in press conferences. IMO he made his choices/had his fun without her and in a way that disparages her. Let him face the media music on his own. Why should she be made to suffer more emotionally by standing while he gives his phony apology? /shrug/ That’s just me though.

I wouldn’t do it vc – but I accept that others might – it’s the way some men demand their women behave – the way their religion demands they behave – sad.

There was a heated discussion on POTUS’ shirt at one time here…..not too long ago. It was fantastic. So here is my take on this Famous dress 😉

        FLOTUS is 49……..Looking Gorgeous.

Huma is 37………Cute…..but going through hell now.

Alba is in her late 20s or early 30s……two kids….pretty.

Yet FLOTUS rocks in that dress the best.

As a member of the Steering Committee on the GNU Compiler Committee, I regularly send (and receive) e-mail from the domain [at]gcc.gn.org.

Does this mean NSA is monitoring this traffic (after all, I *am* a foreign national, and surely, people from the Middle East and North Africa are on these mailing lists) ? That would be a huge waste of resources, as all e-mails to these lists are publicly available [at]gcc.gnu.org …

Maybe I am especially dense but there is no way I can understand the continuing ferocious demonization of Obamacare.
None of the usual explanations work for me. ie: “It is the last chance to stop this program.” Uh no, it isn’t, that ship sailed some time ago.
Or, “Well, the hate is so strong, anything Obama must be stopped.” ?!?!?!

POTUS called it their Holy Grail. Why/How/ would you hold on to a plan that will eliminate something that will help so many of your fellow Americans? Even the dimmest bulb in the GOP closet has to know that when people start getting medical insurance they will remember who fought for their rights and who tried to deprive them of what they and their families need.

My best guess is that the TP/GOP/MSM has run out of things to talk about that anyone will listen to so they revert to the rascist equating of helping one another to giving your hard-earned $$ to Those People.
What else could it be and this is so so sad. What am I missing…….

Vicki–This is about 2014 and 2016. They have die-hard (racist) supporters who want AHCA repealed because it’s tainted by the president. Republicans want to do everything they can to appease those supporters so they come out and vote in 2014 and give the Senate to the Rs and increase their numbers in the House. Also they will tantalize that same base with the idea that a Republican president and a Republican Congress will finally repeal the health care act, so the base needs to come out in 2016 as well. None of them have any convictions whatsoever, just a hatred of the president because he won twice, is loved by many, they have to equal him and, oh yes, he an African American. It’s all about control of the government so they can keep on destroying the public safety net and stealing from the Treasury to give to their rich buddies.

I agree with everything you and Layla say Jackieg, it makes sense to me intellectually, but there is no way in this lifetime that I can even pretend to understand greed and hatred that runs this deep—they are destroying themselves in their all-out effort to destroy other people. Surely they see the risk.
It is so naked, like POTUS said they no longer even bother to claim to replace the ACA—just destroy.

Happy info——–Ed went all-out and all-in on the evil that is Mike Bloomberg. Then he brought on my guy, Bill De Blasio for a juicy one on one. Yay!

The only thing that ever completely unites a nation/state/city is major tragedy or war. This is why politicians are so fond of war and why Chris Christie worked so hard after the disaster in his state.

Outside of those issues – there are the wealthy – who have top quality health care and don’t want to share it with the minions – and there are the fools who think if they agree with the wealthy they will be rewarded. (This latter group include those who think they would be wealthy except for the blah people and the immigrants ruining the country. The rest of the country voted for PBO and believe that health care is a basic right .

The media supports the wealthy who support the media – swings and roundabouts. There is no such thing as “left leaning media” there is only the right & the odd few who are sometimes interested in reporting the truth.

It has been excruciating trying to comment and email etc. without the letters x c v m ——and without periods or commas. Looks good to me! 🙂 Tutored today, then went to the Ace Hardware store ( I could spend the DAY in a hardware store…I love them!) and got some paint for my front courtyard in a beautiful, daring color:) We’re working (slowly) on our front entrance because we had a leak and a rotten facia board that was a real pain in the butt…anyway, the vines that we ripped down during the construction are now growing back again…VERY quickly! So I had to decide on a color to paint the courtyard, and paint it at least where those vines are growing back….I hope that it will be beautiful and elegant. “Blackberry Wine” Ben Moore…go check it out and tell me what you think:) I LOVE color, and I’m not afraid to use it. No boring beige for me:)

Off to the store for a few things and then I’m in for the duration….and here….and doing laundry….and vacuuming…..

I hope the First Family has an excellent, relaxing, wonderful vacation together. They MORE than deserve it! Not bad looking digs they’re staying at! I could live there nicely:)

Just in the courtyard though…the entire house needs painting too…but that will have to wait a bit longer….one step at a time. Glad you like it!

df, I LOVE color. Last year we painted our front door Candy Cane Red. We love it, and the entire neighborhood loves it. Our bricks are a dull gray/beige, and I plant red flowers to bring out the beauty of the door. I also am not a beige person. I don’t know who decreed about 30 years ago that everything should be sand beige or Navajo white. Like Arizona, Oklahoma needs color upgrading!!! Love the name and sound of your color.

Representative Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) says global warming is a conspiracy intended to create one world global government.

Rohrabacher is a senior member of the House Science Committee. Because of course he is.

CA, REALLY??!!! You can do better than this idiot.

Hi, Layla. Great and lovely thought. I am sure something will be done. Every time I see our First Dog, I think of uncle Sen. and Mrs. Vickie Kennedy. What a beautiful gift to all of us. Bo is the cutest and most well behave First Dog I can remember in my lifetime. Love him.HZ

Yay! Bo gets to go on vacay! Lie on the beach on a chaise, lapping up pina coladas——and keep ’em coming. (this was actually a subject of discussion at our house today——hoping Bo was included in the fam vacay—–ran into den where mr. dotster is watching dumb golf to show him the photo—-we’re both relieved!)

I’m just reeeeeeeally disappointed Bo wasn’t wearing shades, Dotster!!

“ran into den where mr. dotster is watching dumb golf to show him the photo”

I was wondering if he was on vacation too – wonder if Bo’s mother knows how well her lad is doing 🙂

I will always thank Senator Kennedy for giving Bo to Malia and Sasha. It was like Bo was made for this family.
