I haven’t seen the 2nd video before – just LOVE during the introduction who gets applause – and who does not. If you haven’t seen it – worth watching for that little interesting sideline.
Thanks, hopefruit. It’s not a movie, it’s a series about a woman who was sentenced to 15 months in jail for her involvement with a drug cartel. I would say it’s a dark comedy. The subject of the show sounds cliche but its nothing like I’ve seen before.
Also, congrats on your Scrabble win! I kick booty in that game — it’s all about knowing the 2 and 3 letter words — and they are COMPLETELY legal.
You can look them up on line.
// After having read the documents that were declassified yesterday by the Obama administration on the telephone metadata program at NSA (here’s the FISA court order and the letters to Congress are here and here) we now know a few facts about it: …
…There are other requirements listed in these documents about the training that is required by analysts, that all queries must be auditable and that NSA has to report back to the FISA court on any telephone content of a US person that is accessed. But that should give you a pretty good idea of the safeguards that are in place.
It seems to me that only two questions about this program remain. First of all, does the government need to access all of the metadata (some are suggesting that the government require phone companies to store the metadata for NSA queries)? And secondly, how effective is this program? Those are policy and efficacy questions – not legal or constitutional.
When it comes to the question of Edward Snowden, lets remind ourselves of the legal definition of “whistleblowing.” The disclosure by a person, usually an employee in a government agency or private enterprise, to the public or to those in authority, of mismanagement, corruption, illegality, or some other wrongdoing. While discussions about policy and efficacy are important, his leaks have – to date – clearly not met that criteria. //
My opinion Edward Snowden belong in prison. And when Putin places his behind in there, he will be begging America to get him out and bring him back to the US.
It’s all about PBO. The MSM/emoprog/GOP/PL contingent bends over backwards trying to make a “hero” out of anyone who directly or indirectly opposes our President.
UT, thank you for all the videos on this post. “Team Obama” is very impressive indeed, geniuses and all that.
But it is the core of the man that made the team. Everyone being on one accord definitely made this happen.
POB can never be duplicated, replicated, imitated. The DNA will not allow it.
The respect and admiration they have for him is a pleasure to watch. The loyalty is truly commendable from the beginning until now.
I hope their friendship continues to grow in the years to come.
I agree LDS. Not to trivalize the remarkable work this team has done, but without PBO, there would be no team. Some of the other politicians who are now trying to tap into some of PBO’s former campaign resources need to keep this in mind….
They’re partying in NC tomorrow according to my FB friends. Don’t know what my post will look like. Haven’t tried before from FB. If it looks stupid, please delete UT.
Please come out tomorrow to help us celebrate President Obama’s birthday. These parties will be centered around the President’s signature legislation, Obamacare. There are events all across NC: http://www.barackobama.com/events/nc
Tomorrow is President Obama’s 52nd birthday. Make him smile—sign OFA’s official card: http://OFA.BO/mi2Sq6
Alison Grimes began by talking about her long name and then said with your help Kentucky in January 2015 you can call me senator. Grimes said that she didn’t have to apologize for having more government experience than Rand Paul. She took a shot at Paul by pointing out that he wasn’t in Kentucky, he was spending his weekend with his loved ones, the tea party in Iowa. Grimes slammed McConnell for trying to gut Medicare. She said,”If the doctors told Sen. McConnell he had a kidney stone, he would refuse to pass it.” She hammered McConnell for being the most unpopular senator among both Democrats and Republicans.
All with a smile on her face, I’m sure! Oh, to be a fly on the wall!
You are not alone, Vitaminlover! Best team ever! At the same time, who would pass on being on PBO’s team. He is, without a doubt, the best presidential candidate in my lifetime!
Tomorrow is President Obama’s birthday:) I’m meeting my OFA director from 2012 election for coffee….she has a gift for me from one of the Inaugural Balls she went to:) I haven’t seen her since she went there, so we can toast to PBO and catch up.
I signed the card wishing the president a happy birthday. I also wrote on the card that he is ” THE BEST PRESIDENT IN MY LIFE TIME!” I hope he reads it.
Agreed! I saw one troll saying how she always looked like she had a sour look on her face. WTF??? Wouldn’t YOU have a sour look on your face if your son was gunned down by a madman for no reason other than the madman has a little dingle and can’t control himself. Those NRA trolls are horrible. They say POTUS is divisive…nope…sorry, THEY are the divisive ones.
Unfortunately the content doesn’t quite reach the level of the heading. Impeachment of some justices on the SC should have happened as soon as they voted for corporations over people.
Do you think each one will get progressively more violent and less humorous – because that is not hard to do.
Just saying…wish it would be, might be, possibly be, please be – different.
Dunno. I hope that since they’re taking this long to put them out that they’ll won’t be typical sequels.
However, I admit, I’m gonna see them no matter what. 🙂
“Republicans approve of the American farmer, but they are willing to help him go broke. They stand four-square for the American home–but not for housing. They are strong for labor–but they are stronger for restricting labor’s rights. They favor minimum wage–the smaller the minimum wage the better. They endorse educational opportunity for all–but they won’t spend money for teachers or for schools. They think modern medical care and hospitals are fine–for people who can afford them. They consider electrical power a great blessing–but only when the private power companies get their rake-off. They think American standard of living is a fine thing–so long as it doesn’t spread to all the people. And they admire of Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it.”

“I wonder how many times you have to be hit on the head before you find out who’s hitting you? It’s about time that the people of America realized what the Republicans have been doing to them.”

df, my question is where are the sensible Republicans? Is there any out there who are dam tired of their party being taken over by right wing racists conservatives.
I’m sure they’re out there…bet if we asked Susan Collins how she likes them now she would let us know how pissed she is:) The noise comes from the loons..I’m sure that there are disenchanted Republicans…the crazies just suck all the air out of the room.
DF, you are absolutely amazing in finding stuff that are so pertinent. All the quotes about conservatives were great, As usual FDR was the best. I think this statement of his was spot-on about conservatives:
“A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned to walk forward.”
~Franklin D. Roosevelt
Ms. Dudette, how did you know that pic has been in my head all week?
What made me smile is the way that stiff hussy was looking as if the President and First Lady had no right to be there. And how dare they have fun in the WH!
You just made this party party hearty……you are the best!
LOL! Thanks LDS!
I noticed that woman too. Know what makes me smile? The fact that at the end of that evening, POTUS & FLOTUS were upstairs sleeping at the White House and she had to take her grumpy butt home somewhere else. 🙂
Dudette, I love that picture of POTUS and FLOTUS dancing, except for one thing, that old mean looking woman stand there looking like a witch like she don’t want to be there around those black folks acting like that. I still love seeing POTUS and FLOTUS.
To Dudette and Desertflower, something went spooky with my computer because there was no sound for all the videos you posted. In other words, I totally missed out on your party. But from the pics and the music selections you guys must have enjoyed bringing in the President’s 52nd Birthday! I feel so bad that I stayed up and still missed enjoying the party. led by two of the Djs!
Aww, so sorry to hear about your computer Nath. Don’tcha hate these things sometimes?!! 🙂

– A citizenry that understands that voting is not only their right, but their civic duty; that steadfastly holds onto it, teaches young people about it and exercises that right with the seriousness t it deserves.
Thanks for posting these clips of the campaign reviews, UT.
What was so clear was the total disrespect for the President from Chuck Todd. He called everyone else by their titles e.g. Gov Romney, Gov Daniels (or called them Mitch and Hayley ,guess they are friend) and called the President …Obama.
hi
Hi, Layla…congrats:) Love these “behind the scenes”
Evening, Laila 🙂
hi guys! getting back to normal after lots of grieving and working…off to work again now, have a beautiful evening and night!
Hi Layla – congrats on 1st and take care of you
I haven’t seen the 2nd video before – just LOVE during the introduction who gets applause – and who does not. If you haven’t seen it – worth watching for that little interesting sideline.
Hi TOD family!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
My stepsister (actually former stepsister. Her dad and my mom are now divorced) came to visit. We played Scrabble and I won. 🙂 🙂
Now I’m going to watch Orange Is The New Black on Netflix. Anyone seen it yet? It’s very good so far.
I LOVE winning at Scrabble!!!!
I haven’t seen OTNB but everyone is raving about it. Let us know what you think!
I’m on episode 5 right now. Watched the first 4 in one night. The cast is great and each one’s story could be a series on its own.
Hi gb – I rarely win at scrabble – have a couple of cousins who can play it so well – no idea why I keep thinking they might lose!
Enjoy your weekend.
Thanks, 99! Today was my first time playing it offline in many many years. I usually play a computer on the internet. Love it.
Hello GB, Glad to see you’re in good spirits, and congrats on your winning Scrabble! 🙂 Hope you enjoy the movie all the way; I haven’t seen it yet.
Thanks, hopefruit. It’s not a movie, it’s a series about a woman who was sentenced to 15 months in jail for her involvement with a drug cartel. I would say it’s a dark comedy. The subject of the show sounds cliche but its nothing like I’ve seen before.
Okay – thanks GB for the clarification! 🙂
Hi GB! Glad you’re on the upswing and stopped in to say hello.
I hear good things about that show. Not a Netflix subscriber though I’ve seen snips of it here and there. Might invest in the DVD later on.
Just finished episode 5. Show is insane….and hilarious. omg.
Will keep that in mind. Thanks for the tip!
Good morning gobrooklyn, hope you are doing well! I LOVE OTNB!!! I’m waiting with baited breath for the new season to begin.
Also, congrats on your Scrabble win! I kick booty in that game — it’s all about knowing the 2 and 3 letter words — and they are COMPLETELY legal.
You can look them up on line.
Can imagine that though Comey was not present he is very much in the loop now that he has been confirmed as the next FBI Director.
Hi everyone. Time to catch up on all the post.
UT is doing a splendid job of holding down the fort while Chips is away. 🙂
Why is Steve Schmidt still a republican? And also – it is obvious no republican ever listened to ANY feedback on the 2012 election.
Schmidt – “a large part of that 47% are the base of the republican party.”
I love the irony of that number.
Just the facts, mam

Good point about the definition of whistleblowing and how Snowden doesn’t fit it. Not sure where all this Snowden-is-a-hero talk is coming from.

Excellent ForUS50!
HAPPY 52nd Birthday to our President!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Tell the MSM to stop trying to throw shade on our President’s birthday, with their garbage propaganda.
Ugh! MSM just sucks!
Good morning all.
Thanks for posting these clips of the campaign reviews, UT.
