Joshua Williams was four and a half years old when he figured out his life’s calling. He discovered it by listening to his heart.
“My grandmother gave me $20. I saw a homeless man. I felt really bad. I gave him the $20. I felt good, but I wanted to do more,” said Joshua, now 12 and a Miami Beach resident recently honored by BET with a Shine A Light Award by for his work with his nonprofit Joshua’s Heart Foundation.

What a remarkable young man. To have so much compassion at the age of four and a half and then to follow through on it. Few people I know have this kind of character.
Well…been off looking to see what kind of learning I could find:) If anyone is interested in life long learning experiences…taking college courses for FREE, (though not for credit…you can get a certificate) you might want to check out these sites…Coursera.org or edx.org
Some good stuff there to spark your mind and get your academic juices flowing!
Wow – he finally did it. I was despairing for someone explaining Keynesian economic growth in simple terms, and then the President *did* it – in Jacksonville, FL.
If, by investing in Jacksonport, more workers get jobs, more contractors get offers for their bids, more money will flow into the local economy: houses being built, restaurant staff being paid, which leads to them spending more money on other stuff (he mentioned iPads, well – that might not be the most useful example, but still).
That, by the way, is why upping the minimum wage is such a good idea, because you *know* most of this money will flow right back into the local economy (the only program that’s even better than that is SNAP – because people receiving “food stamps” can *of necessity* only spend it locally).
Good morning and a most pleasant day to all TODvillers, lurkers, healing prayers to GB and all those not in the peak of condition physically, emotionally and financially. May the best of the best blessings be yours especially today and an extra special dose of healing love for GB.
Too busy at work to keep up with everything however am in full support of all efforts for a big change at the polls in 2014, August Action should be monthly until next November. My US contacts are all up on the ACA and are quite looking forward to Oct 1st.
NOT TO BE OVERLOOKED – is any one keeping an eye on the computers (diebold?) for 2014, I recall an article where someone suggested that if it was not for geek diligence and firewall Ohio would have been lost, not far fetched when you recall the KRove meltdown on Election night. Please do not overlook this most important piece of the puzzle when preparing and anticipating all angles for November. We don’t want to work real hard and then have it all stolen by a few RW controlled machines. FORWARD FORWARD FORWARD OFA for progress and prosperity
MOSCOW, July 26 (Reuters) – Russia’s FSB federal security agency and its U.S. counterpart, the FBI, are in talks over the fate of former U.S. spy agency contractor Edward Snowden, who is stuck at a Moscow airport, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman said on Friday.
Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin was not involved in talks over the 30-year-old American, who is wanted by the United States on espionage charges.
Goodnight & good morning!
Ok. You get a prize for that. That made me chuckle.
TY. However, you guys are trying to make me think I’m cra-cra — this was the top post when I logged on, now, you’ve flipped the “script!” 🙄
Now, LP’s news post has gone ‘poof’. Time for me to go to bed…

What kind of demented goofballs would vandalize the Lincoln Memorial with green paint? No security cameras? I want the dumbheads apprehended.
Yes to security cameras! CCTV all over that area. So they in trouble.
Did someone vandalize the Lincoln Memorial? I didn’t hear it on the morning news.
Let me see, GOP want AG Eric Holder to resign because Lincoln Memorial was vandalized.
Good West Coast morning Chipsticks, UT, & TOD family.
Fridays Good!
I think anybody that supports current GOP has questionable values and should be shunned for life!
🙂
