Why? You’re not responsible for my nosiness….. or are you? It’d be nice to finally discover it’s not my fault. 😉 😉

Have a terrific day, Desertf, and stay out of the (garden) heat. I actually pulled a handful of weeds yesterday for the first time in WEEKS and felt quite proud of myself. 😀

Good job on the weeds:) If they were prettier, I’d leave them and pretend they were supposed to be there:) I hate to weed. Hate to do ANYTHING outside in the summer here:)

Don’t let those comments from an insane wacko ruin your day! I expect nothing else to come from his trap

Oh, I forgot him as soon as I read the comment. I didn’t follow the link; I was only saying I paused to read the one comment shared here, which delayed my arrival on the new post scene. 😉

    Holy shite!!!!

They don’t teach terminology like this in medical school.
Terry Ragland, a woman in Tennessee, was incensed after her doctor, Timothy Sweo, diagnosed the source of her severe lower back pain as “ghetto booty.”

Jonathan Capehart published this in his column:

    Dear George Zimmerman,
For the rest of your life you are now going to feel what its like to be a black man in America.

You will feel people stare at you. Judging you for what you think are unfair reasons. You will lose out on getting jobs for something you feel is outside of your control. You will believe yourself to be an upstanding citizen and wonder why people choose to not see that.

People will cross the street when they see you coming. They will call you hurtful names. It will drive you so insane some days that you’ll want to scream at the top of your lungs. But you will have to wake up the next day, put on firm look and push through life.

I bet you never thought that by shooting a black male you’d end up inheriting all of his struggles.

    Enjoy your “freedom.”

I hear Zimmerman is in hiding. Maybe he and Casey Anthony could hook up since they are child killers who got away. Did he get that murder weapon he used to kill that 17 year old boy back?

His brother said he was sure PBO was tapping his phones, or some such b.s.

The legend these people are in their own minds is astounding.

His beliefs concerning Trayvon make me think in addition to being a racist, Zimmerman is also subject to paranoid delusions, so I am not surprised.

Well, when no one in the press pushes back on such blatant idiocy, they are emboldened. Same thing with the rantings of Assange, GG and Snowden. No one calls them on their B-movie scenarios.

WH.GOV is always so abrupt in their ending of these sessions! Don’t they get that some of us want to linger a few minutes with the Pres? The TOD village publicity coordinator should have a word with WH.GOV about this I think.

For those who missed it. It was so cool to see Sen. Elizabeth Warren so happy at Richard Cordray’s confirmation as Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The bear hug he gave her at the end was nice.

I saw a good quote from Episcopal Bishop Gregory Brewer of Central Florida on Facebook just now about Trayvon Martin. I will attempt to embed the twitter quote here:

I wan to live in a world where George Zimmerman offered Trayvon Martin a ride home to get him out of the rain that night. Come Lord Jesus!— Greg Brewer (@revgregbrewer) July 14, 2013

If that doesn’t work, I’ll just write it out. Here’s how it looked on Facebook (if you can get that): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200103560132429&set=a.1652309748274.2078242.1252927544&type=1&theater

That kind of world would be so nice, but I would settle for a world were Zimmerman could have allow the police to do their job.

Trayvon’s parents suppose to be on the Today show and Good Morning tomorrow, I think. I could be wrong about the date, but if anyone else know please let us know. I think Barbara Walters did a interview with Zimmerman’s parents.

(Reuters) – The U.S. government may proceed with its $5 billion lawsuit accusing Standard & Poor’s of misleading investors by inflating its credit ratings, after a federal judge rejected the rating agency’s effort to dismiss the civil fraud case.

In a written decision late on Tuesday, the judge said the government could pursue claims that S&P manipulated ratings to boost profit, and in doing so, concealed credit risks and conflicts of interest.

This led to large losses for investors and contributed to the 2008 financial crisis, the government contended.

I hope they get their ass’ handed to them. Good govt…hard at work!

Good …every damn day Erin Burnett does a segment talking about how many days it has been since we lost our AAA rating and says

” What is the Government doing about it ” and then goes on to talk about the stock market as if they were the cause and are the cure for it.

She knows darn well we were downgraded because of the Republicans holding the debt ceiling hostage.

I think I will forward her this link.

It’s no surprise that high verbal and math SAT scores at a young age might predict future success, but when you add a test for spatial reasoning ability to the mix, you get an even better predictor of someone’s future accomplishments, creativity, and innovative potential, a recent study found.

    GA Chips, TOD….

If Republicans in the House of Representatives vote against the immigration reform legislation that was recently approved by the Senate — or if they prevent it from coming to a vote at all — they will lose the presidential election in 2016. It will not even matter who their candidate is…….
Perhaps Boehner wants to be the Hispanic community’s new villain — to replace the loathed Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz. But does he really want to join the ranks of infamous anti-immigration legislators like former California Gov. Pete Wilson, former Rep. Tom Tancredo, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and Sen. Ted Cruz? We’ll see.

Finally, Marcia Krieger, a U.S. district court judge in Colorado, refrained from issuing an injunction last week to block enforcement of the Rocky Mountain state’s new regulation banning gun magazines holding more than 15 rounds of ammunition. Krieger said an injunction was unnecessary after opponents of the law reached a compromise with the state about how the ban would be enforced.

None of these decisions individually represent huge setbacks for opponents of gun control. But, with George Zimmerman’s acquittal and the failure of Congress to pass the Manchin-Toomey background check legislation, they do serve to rebut the prevailing narrative that gun control advocates in the United States are doomed to fail.
