Love Bob Marley. He was my uncle’s favorite singer. this was one of his favorite songs. he used to sing this to my aunt. it parralleled his pursuit of her. they were set up on a blind date when he was 19 and my aunt didnt like him. he was tall, skinny and had a Bruce Lee obsession. he finally wore her down and they were together for over 30 years until last July. Wherever you are uncle Mikey, this one’s for you:

Only in our racists ass America. Don’t get me wrong this country have come along way, but it still has a way to go. Because believe it or not racism is alive and well, just look at the Republican Party.

    http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/borowitzreport/2013/07/texas-weighs-ban-on-women.html

AUSTIN (The Borowitz Report)—Republican lawmakers in the Texas State Senate are proposing a precedent-setting new bill that would make it illegal for women to live in the state.

Senator Harland Dorrinson, one of the many pro-life lawmakers backing the woman ban, crafted his bill after witnessing Senator Wendy Davis filibuster an anti-abortion bill last month.

“That was our moment to say, ‘Enough is enough,’ ” he said. “This comes down to a choice between life and women, and we choose life.”

Senator Dorrinson said his bill would call for a twenty-foot woman-proof fence to be constructed along the borders of the state.

“Women are great at talking, but not at climbing,” he observed.

The sad thing is that with today’s Republican party, this could be reality. They’re just that clueless!.

Hi TOD peeps, I just saw a commercial for the movie REDS 2 and they used clips of PBO talking about the NSA. Can they do that? It wasn’t bad or anything. I just wanted to know if they could use him to promote a movie.

I saw that yesterday, and had to rewind it and watch it again. It wasn’t bad – I agree – it was kind of funny. But it just felt exploitative to take President Obama’s actual words and use them for commercial gain. Somehow, it didn’t sit right with me…

Cornel West is in Bill Maher Show, I has to change it.
Literally abusing the President, vile POS!
West has deep issues with our President, of course Jealousy is one if them, but he hates him.
    Damn!

Cornel West’s been bitter since he wasn’t given a personal invitation to the first Inauguration. President Obama is now in his second term, and probably hasn’t thought of Cornel West for more than five minutes in five years. It’s sad for Cornel. Truth is, President Obama will move on in three years to the next phase of his life – while Cornel will seethe with bitterness for many more years to come. History will note President Obama’s existence and accomplishments. It will not make note of Cornel West’s hatred of this President, except lumping him in with the other haters.

      Came from here: http://www.nationalmemo.com/share-this-rep-mark-takano-a-former-teacher-gives-republican-letter-an-f/

As a member of the Democratic minority in the House of Representatives, Congressman Mark Takano (D-CA) may not be able to do anything about his Republican colleagues’ refusal to pursue comprehensive immigration reform. But if they’re going to kill the Senate’s bill, he can at least force them to make a strong argument for doing so.

When Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) began circulating a letter complaining about the Senate bill, Rep. Takano — who spent 23 years as a public school teacher in Riverside, California — took out his red pen and went to work on his colleague’s “weak draft.” The result? A failing grade, and a note to “see me after votes.”

been bopping around twitter last few minutes and surprised to see so many from our side using “pro-abortion rights” and “pro-life.” those fit right into the republican framing traps. people are either pro-choice and anti-choice when it comes to abortion rights. just a friendly reminder…

I agree. You don’t mess with women and independent woman decide most of the races. They are the swing votes. Guess how they will feel about all this? I would suggest writing all media posts as if writing to them and we’ll beat these jokers at the ballot boxes.
