Isn’t it time you all were in bed? I don’t normally see any of you three up at this time of the night.

I guess the shifts have been changed and I haven’t yet gotten the memo. So what are we talking about, before I head off with the old crew?

VC, from the previous post the color of the President’s shirt was generating fierce and heated debate. My suggestion was that we vote on it and let the majority rule.

Hi, Nathk! If you think *I* am going to say anything about that garment men wear to cover the top of their bodies, you are waaaay out. My convo is already being monitored, thank you very much, so I’m drawing no further attention to myself.

VC, my apologies! That was never my intention; especially since I have absolutely no idea about the sophisticated color classifications that the most vocal people are arguing/debating about. All I wanted was a vote on the matter so we could move-on from the “scandal/controversy” about the color of the President’s shirt.

You’re right, I’m on my way to bed right now! Work tomorrow, sadly. G’night and sleep tight, all!

Not here in SoCal. it’s only 9PM. The fireworks are still going on. I am sure all the young people are still out there partying.

Relatively quiet! Talked on the phone to family members who are on the East Coast (D.C., MD, NY, NJ, MA). I read a little. Briefly went out for a walk and then came home and cooked a light meal because I am trying to diet. Absolutely no beer or barbecue today.

I confess, although I avoided beer, I still had a few glasses of red wine which I am also supposed to cut down on.

Exactly nathkatun7. I am sipping my second and last glass of wine. Fireworks are going on a few miles from me. Lovely. HZ

Oh, nath I forgot to mentioned the mellow music of Ms. Mika Howard:” Miki Howard, The Very Best Of”. Between the mellow wine, music, and the fireworks, the evening is concluding with a touch of gentle celebration in my home. Loving it. HZ

That’s wonderful, HZ! I too managed to sip a couple of two red wines though I am supposed to be on diet. The weather in SD today was a bit on the cool side so I got a chance to sit on the patio and read. I am reading a biography of Ella Baker, one of the most courageous and principled leaders of the Civil Rights Movement who helped students launch the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). This is an organization that produced young leaders like Congressman John Lewis, Stokley Carmichael (Kwame Ture), James Foreman, Julian Bond, Bob Moses and Eleanor Norton Holmes. Prior to that She was very active and played leadership role in the NAACP and Dr. King’s SCLC. She is one of those forgotten heroes who dedicated her life to freedom and democracy.

Glad you had a lovely and relaxing day.

Chips – I’m so glad that video came with that audio, because – for some reason – I cannot stand that song. Ha! Maybe it’s just not my genre of music or somethin’. So, thanks once again for the wonderful video of that superb event!

Settling the Shirtgate trial: I live in the Salmon capital of the World, British Columbia, Canada. As an expert witness in this matter of shirt colour, it is, without a doubt, RAW, NOT COOKED, SALMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am judge and jury and I rule in favour of Team Salmon.

Moving beyond #ShirtColorGate to my truly fondest wish for America and the world …..

… just imagine 4 July 2017 if that happened. Spend more than a few moments pondering what that would enable and empower.

What a wonderful thought Bob! I am not that familiar with Ambassador Rice, but i truly love my AG, Kamala Harris. She is definitely going places. And if she can’t be POTUS or VP, I hope that she would either be Governor or Senator. I don’t know if Jerry Brown is running for a second (actually fourth) term in 2014. If he is not, I hopeMs. Harris runs. I’ve also heard rumors that Sen. Barbara Boxer may retire in 2016, If she does, Kamala Harris would be a perfect choice to replace her.
