VC, from the previous post the color of the President’s shirt was generating fierce and heated debate. My suggestion was that we vote on it and let the majority rule.
Hi, Nathk! If you think *I* am going to say anything about that garment men wear to cover the top of their bodies, you are waaaay out. My convo is already being monitored, thank you very much, so I’m drawing no further attention to myself.
VC, my apologies! That was never my intention; especially since I have absolutely no idea about the sophisticated color classifications that the most vocal people are arguing/debating about. All I wanted was a vote on the matter so we could move-on from the “scandal/controversy” about the color of the President’s shirt.

Relatively quiet! Talked on the phone to family members who are on the East Coast (D.C., MD, NY, NJ, MA). I read a little. Briefly went out for a walk and then came home and cooked a light meal because I am trying to diet. Absolutely no beer or barbecue today.
Oh, nath I forgot to mentioned the mellow music of Ms. Mika Howard:” Miki Howard, The Very Best Of”. Between the mellow wine, music, and the fireworks, the evening is concluding with a touch of gentle celebration in my home. Loving it. HZ
That’s wonderful, HZ! I too managed to sip a couple of two red wines though I am supposed to be on diet. The weather in SD today was a bit on the cool side so I got a chance to sit on the patio and read. I am reading a biography of Ella Baker, one of the most courageous and principled leaders of the Civil Rights Movement who helped students launch the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). This is an organization that produced young leaders like Congressman John Lewis, Stokley Carmichael (Kwame Ture), James Foreman, Julian Bond, Bob Moses and Eleanor Norton Holmes. Prior to that She was very active and played leadership role in the NAACP and Dr. King’s SCLC. She is one of those forgotten heroes who dedicated her life to freedom and democracy.
Chips – I’m so glad that video came with that audio, because – for some reason – I cannot stand that song. Ha! Maybe it’s just not my genre of music or somethin’. So, thanks once again for the wonderful video of that superb event!
Good Night, LP. Thanks for all that you do to make this beautiful haven so lovely for all of us. I hope you are doing fine and your day was wonderful. HZ
I just wanna know why Comcast has a freakin’ 4th of July Movie Collection and freakin’ “1776” WAS NOT included in it? What is WRONG with these people?!!
Settling the Shirtgate trial: I live in the Salmon capital of the World, British Columbia, Canada. As an expert witness in this matter of shirt colour, it is, without a doubt, RAW, NOT COOKED, SALMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am judge and jury and I rule in favour of Team Salmon.
I get you point, Canardabarb4obama, but do you have any familiarity with what is sometimes referred to as” red clay” from which artists have produced some of the most beautiful clay vases? Or are you just biased in favor of Salmon because BC Canada is “the Salmon capital of the world.” ?
What a wonderful thought Bob! I am not that familiar with Ambassador Rice, but i truly love my AG, Kamala Harris. She is definitely going places. And if she can’t be POTUS or VP, I hope that she would either be Governor or Senator. I don’t know if Jerry Brown is running for a second (actually fourth) term in 2014. If he is not, I hopeMs. Harris runs. I’ve also heard rumors that Sen. Barbara Boxer may retire in 2016, If she does, Kamala Harris would be a perfect choice to replace her.
And thankfully we don’t need them to. The non-haters and indifferent will accept it and that’s what matters. That haters will just self-implode with more rage as things continue to improve.
Evening all
Happy Fourth everyone!
Hello.
Hi Japa, Beth, Utal!
Isn’t it time you all were in bed? I don’t normally see any of you three up at this time of the night.
I guess the shifts have been changed and I haven’t yet gotten the memo. So what are we talking about, before I head off with the old crew?

ROFL!!! 😀 😀 😀

You’re right, I’m on my way to bed right now! Work tomorrow, sadly. G’night and sleep tight, all!
Sweet dreams, Beth!
Not here in SoCal. it’s only 9PM. The fireworks are still going on. I am sure all the young people are still out there partying.
So how was your Independence Day?
Relatively quiet! Talked on the phone to family members who are on the East Coast (D.C., MD, NY, NJ, MA). I read a little. Briefly went out for a walk and then came home and cooked a light meal because I am trying to diet. Absolutely no beer or barbecue today.
I confess, although I avoided beer, I still had a few glasses of red wine which I am also supposed to cut down on.
Exactly nathkatun7. I am sipping my second and last glass of wine. Fireworks are going on a few miles from me. Lovely. HZ

Glad you had a lovely and relaxing day.
Do you live in SD Nathk? That is where I grew up. On a homestead near Sioux Falls. 😉
Congrats Japa, Beth, and UT on coming in #1. I hope you all had a great day. Thanks UT for the wonderful posts.

Okay, new shift, I’ve tidied up my work space so I’m clocking out now. Will tag in with you in the morning – have a good night.
I remember that concert like it was yesterday!
Can’t get enough of Mariah singing this!
Dudette, thanks for this one. One of my favorites. Hope your 4th celebration was all that you desired. HZ
Thanks HZ! Mine was nice and relaxing on wish it could be a bit longer. Hope you enjoyed yours too!
Great to hear, Dudette. I enjoyed mine very much. Thank you. Now just winding down with this Miki Howard album. Very nice. HZ
Oh Miki! Love her! 🙂
Yes,, Yes. Thanks for sharing Dudette. That is the first song on this album: “Miki Howard, The Very Best Of.” Loving all of the songs. HZ
Thanks Dudette and HZ for sharing the music of this beautiful lady who has such an exquisite voice.
GN TOD
Good Night, LP. Thanks for all that you do to make this beautiful haven so lovely for all of us. I hope you are doing fine and your day was wonderful. HZ
Dudette, those were some real cool fireworks! Thank for sharing them.
I just wanna know why Comcast has a freakin’ 4th of July Movie Collection and freakin’ “1776” WAS NOT included in it? What is WRONG with these people?!!
Uh oh. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and all that! Watch out, Republicans.

I’ve personally remained neutral on this whole international affair, Barb. But good for you for taking a stand!
And you got a plug in for BC. Well played!

Dear Canada Barb, I’ve seen tons of ‘salmon’ but that shirt is without any doubt ‘Clay’ from Nordstrom ….
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
Moving beyond #ShirtColorGate to my truly fondest wish for America and the world …..
… just imagine 4 July 2017 if that happened. Spend more than a few moments pondering what that would enable and empower.
Yes We Can
rest well everyone … and for those arising to a new day … hope it’s a fine one for you ….
#FORWARD Together
Rest well too, Bob! Thank you for your excellent work on twitter!

Now that’s a dream worth fighting for, Bob.

I know the answer and it ain’t fireworks.
This is freaking fantastic news. It beat economists expectations of 165K and April and May were revised up by a huge 70,000 jobs!!! Wow.

Wonderful news!. I always wonder what the economic and jobs picture would have looked like if we didn’t have GOP obstructionists in congress.
This is excellent news! Chuck Todd’s head to explode in 3…2…1…
Eat it haters.
Sadly, the haters will never accept good news as good.
And thankfully we don’t need them to. The non-haters and indifferent will accept it and that’s what matters. That haters will just self-implode with more rage as things continue to improve.
Bill you nailed it with that one. But it’s sad for them not us. Must be rough for these people to go outside when it’s not raining.
Morning TOD. I missed the entire shirt controversy last night. Are we going to take a vote?
Huge beat: here are the y2y highlights….
Mooooooorning!
