Thank You For Visiting, Africa!

Love this, lots of visitors to TOD from Africa in the last week.

Still not a single visitor from, most notably, Greenland, though. 😦

Chips and other “blog tyrants”, thanks, thanks, thank……………s a lot for leading the PBO-delegation during the trip to Africa.

You guys have no idea what it has meant to so many of us to tag along.

at times I have been so overwhelmed that I just read and re-read, watched & re-watched the content here but could not comment— blame it on the raw emotion.

thanks a whole bunch everybody for leading and the company during the journey.

GE Chips, TOD……. Good news you can add Doris McDougal, my Dean, as a new TODer….. I was on campus all say setting up my classes for the fall, and saw an African tile displayed prominently on her desk…..after some inquiries we went from registering my classes to showcasing TOD, and me explaining all the widgets!! I also got her to watch “Luther” in action from a youtube clip of Key & Peele…LOL!!!!

Terrific, absolutely so. Can this family “reach out,” or what…? And, again, the aplomb and self-contained dignity of Sasha and Malia. Very classy, well-raised, as well as courteous and understanding, young ladies. (Can you imagine how many sit-downs, and “discussions,” the family must have had around this, in the WH family quarters, and , then, with the Presidential staff…?)

If you want to see the BEST effing “family values” in the US of A, just look toward the White House!

That’s my story, and I”m stickin’ to it…

I’m sure people realize the respect and love we have for the president, and also the love and respect we have for each other. Chips has started and nurtured an amazing thing.

    No shit! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/02/mitch-mcconnell-tea-party_n_3536897.html?utm_hp_ref=tw

A tea party-affiliated group is urging Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to bow out of his reelection bid next year against Democratic rival Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, citing concerns with the longtime senator’s electability.

Matt Hoskins, the Senate Conservatives Fund’s executive director, told the Washington Post Tuesday that McConnell isn’t a strong enough candidate to face off against Grimes and that it may be time for him to “pass the torch.”

β€œMitch McConnell is now the least electable Republican senator running for reelection in 2014,” Hoskins said. “He could lose this race and cost Republicans the majority. He needs to consider whether it might be time to hang it up.”

The Senate Conservatives Fund is a political action committee launched by former Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) prior to the 2010 elections.

My son was checking the streetview of his house earlier this year, found the photo, and their brother in it, walking toward my house. Too funny! Consider signing and passing. WTH are they thinking?????

On September 9th, 2013, George W. Bush is scheduled to receive the β€œImproving the Human Condition Award” at the annual Korbel Dinner. The Josef Korbel School of International Studies strives to train β€œpragmatic idealists” to envision and innovate solutions to international issues ranging from peace and security to poverty alleviation to challenging the social norms and structures that perpetuate the oppression of marginalized and vulnerable populations.

Does this sound like the GWB you knew???

    • July 2, 2013 at 9:57 pm

No he doesn’t NOT deserve this award. They’re trying to rehabilitate the “Bush” name so that Jeb can run. They’re trying to make 2016 a Jeb/Hillary contest, so whoever wins – it won’t matter, the MSM and neoCons will be happy.

Just check Twitter right now — everyone is checking to see and tweeting (or retweeting) that our President has landed safely back home. When Bush was President and traveled abroad, unless it was mentioned on Cable News, no one would know or care whether or when he was back home. I know Twitter didn’t exist, but even if it did. I’m sure no one (except Chuck Todd) is thinking of Bush in Africa right now, and when or if he will be returning home soon.

It’s like America constantly has PBO on her mind at any given time, anywhere, no matter what. When PBO is away, the whole country has a reaction.

    • 187 jackiegrumbacher
      July 2, 2013 at 10:12 pm

Hf, I have never in my life followed a president the way I do PBO. Never thought twice if other presidents were out of the country, never cared what they did, unless it was a huge news story like JFK in Berlin. But with PBO, I always need to know he’s safe before turning in at night and look forward to hearing or seeing that his plane has landed. PBO is not just president of the US, he’s in our hearts and as dear to us as a beloved family member. I don’t think I will ever feel this way about any president again. But I will continue to follow the achievements of this wonderful man long after his presidency is over.
