Nathk, it looks like I’m not going back to bed right this minute after all! Sigh. This is exactly why I don’t usually sign in when I wake up in the middle of the night, or way early in the morning – I can’t resist the chatter! 😀

What is the Beast story ? They ship them beforehand to the country of visit or they just put one in every country ?

Don’t they travel in the second plane of his 2-plane entourage? Not absolutely sure tho.

Can’t speak with any authority on the subject – I never pay much attention to details like this – yet I do vaguely remember seeing something of this nature somewhere. Not to worry, someone with the correct info will set us both straight before the end of the day. One of the beauties of TODvillage!

Don’t laugh – the President waved as he was about to enter the car and dummy me’s hand actually lifted and waved back! My hand raised again and waved when FLOTUS waved from inside the car. 😯 All on its own. Without conscious thought. Yo, dummy, he can’t see you! She can’t see you! I swear this man and his family have destroyed my stoic, realistic, real-world response to politicians and celebrities alike. This is just too much for my mind. 😀

Words worth highlighting…… authored by William Ernest Henley (1849-1903)

Out Of The Night That Covers Me (Invictus)

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
      For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
      Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Morning, Nena! I don’t think the 3:45am happened around here, and you are here now! 😀
I’m not actually sure *I* have arisen because my eyes are burning with fatigue – I read after signing off last night – and of course since it’s now much lighter here even my blackout curtains are not working. I’ll probably get up and go make breakfast with plans to be back for the 8-ish do.

      Full 41 minutes of it ? 😯 😯 😯

How about the gist of it ?

      In small words.

      Not more than two syllables.

Amk, it ‘shivers me timbers’ when you and I have the same reaction to whatever! I took one look at the length and thought – I don’t want the answer that badly. BTW, length is always the first thing I check when a video is posted, and the reason some don’t get viewed . It’s one reason I prefer to listen to POTUS and FLOTUS live because the time is immaterial then.

        June 30, 2013 at 7:03 am

There are TWO 747s always that would accompany a POTUS. They are identical planes. If need be, they would quickly switch them including contents without those as passengers ever knowing…….meaning playing a decoy…..switcheroo…..placing contents exactly as placed by the passangers.

You probably saw one plane, but the other one was not too far away. There are 2 Beast Limo that are part of the travel.

Here’s a Chris Wallace’s Take on AF1 right after GW Bush’s last flight on AF1

Yeah, thanks Nena. I watched the shorter version (and was quite surprised when the jacket on the seat said Bush. Go figure, when they had said earlier in the piece that this was filmed when Bush was president!)

The 41 minutes plus version is all about Pres Obama’s AF1. The two mins version is just not all that informative……However, it all about Pres Obama’s AF1 🙂

Hubris is amazing isn’t it? I guess she already changed her affiliation by calling herself a “Conservative” rather than a Republican. I think the Conservative party has already been started in the northeast as a third party like Libertarian or Green. Guess Sarah had to come up with a new name, but Freedom? Really? Have we not been making fun of the Tea Party for four years, that they finish everything or start everything they say by claiming they …, you know… freedom. You get my reference.

Actually, I’ll be happy if tundra twit starts her freedumb party and peels away the teh crazy teabagger votes from gop. It would give dems a fighting to get back the house and increase senate majority.
