Funny enough, I didn’t see a line. Oh well. Being an alien, illegal or not, does have its brawbacks.

This is great news, UT. I hope every one of those legislators and especially Perry feels the heat. I’m sure they wanted to slip this heinous piece of crap legislation in without attracting notice and now the whole world is watching. Go Texas women!

Ecuador is one of the world’s biggest exporters of bananas. Block imports from there and it would bring them to their knees.

      June 23, 2013 at 2:39 pm

I feel like a Tea Party RWNJ but: Don’t mess with my bananas from Ecuador!

(Sorry – I realize this is all a bit more serious than that, but I’m just giddy today for some reason. Might be the fact that there are so many fools out there – like Snowden – that I find myself engulped in “nervous laughter.”)

          Who’s bad-talkin’ bananas? I even buy banana-flavored popsicles, if that isn’t TMI. πŸ™‚

        • June 23, 2013 at 2:58 pm

I like bananas, but I know a certain blog tyrant (who shall remain nameless) who absolutely can’t STAND bananas!! But you didn’t hear that from me, no you didn’t. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I stand with Don! Anyone who knows anything, who has done their homework, knows bananas are one of the worlds few Superfoods. They are loaded with potassium, minerals and other good things, are not negatively affected by pesticides as they have that oh-so-handy
wrapping which protects them from contact all kinds of disease transmitted in handling, not to mention they are a meal in themselves.

Oh, I’m sorry, Don, I can see clearly now that … er … Bill was the one bad-talking bananas, all for the good of the country. Musta had brain freeze from me banana popsicle when I thought you meant me.

Bananas? Are we going to let Snowden fuck up our supply of bananas? Now I’m really pissed.

    • June 23, 2013 at 2:46 pm

That would be a two-fer for UT – she loathes bananas πŸ™‚

I suppose, realistically, when SnowedIn goes down, and it’s only a matter of time now, he is sure to take a whole bunch of folks with him; he ain’t gonna walk the Long Road alone. Now is he? πŸ˜†

And again, Don, our advice to them: “Never underestimate Barack Obama”, eh? They don’t know what’s a-comin’ round the mountainside! Hey! Maybe the lot of them could go on down to Gitmo, once PBO gets the innocent people outta dere!? Just a thought…..

    • June 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm

As posted yesterday at TPV, MightyP ….

“As many of you know, I’ve been focused and have tweeted extensively about the fatal disease of megalomania that Greenwald suffers.

For Glenn, that fatal moment was the Monday that Snowden emerged in Hong Kong and Glenn (as well as Poitras) did everything he could to let it be known how long he had been interacting with Snowden.

Fact is, those interactions for both Greenwald & Poitras began before Snowden did his gig at NSA contractor, Booz Allen.

Quite literally, Glenn put the noose around his neck at that very moment. I have zero doubt the folk at the DoJ noticed.

Snowden is looking at hard time. He’s a chicken shit. He’ll squeal and plea bargain his chicken shit ass off. That’s what Glenn – Poitras and likely many others – get to ponder every frigging remaining minute of their sorry lives.”

Bob, I’m having a hard time imagining what Snowden hopes to achieve with his Ecuador act. How is any kind of life possible for him there, or, does he suppose he will be treated as such a celebrity that the Ecuadorian govt. will take care of his every need in perpetuity. Aside from the temporary satisfaction of snubbing the US, what does Ecuador hope to achieve? Snowden’s information is by now old hat. and every day he becomes more worthless as an information source. Even those paying Snowden will soon realize that he’s outlived his usefulness and at that point, he’s going to be safer in a US jail.

So, decided to wake up late. Put on BBC World while making coffee, and just heard that Snowden is in Moscow. I’m so glad he chose a country with a long history of free press and no spying on its citizens.

  20. June 23, 2013 at 3:14 pm

I suppose I should look it up, but I’m too lazy. πŸ™‚ I was in S.S. at the end of 2010 (I think September) and there was a revolt in Ecuador because of austerity…some kind of coup. All civil liberties were suspended, the military was put in charge and borders to Peru and Colombia were closed. I don’t know how long it lasted. I guess Snowden can go there and further his career.
