If Greenwald thought this live #AskSnowden Q&A would be positive for Snowden, then he really is a big fool. Snowden has been digging the hole further and further.
First he said he leaked NSA secrets because Pres. Obama didn’t live up to his campaign promises. Then he said the real reason for leaking secrets was because Pres. Obama didn’t close Gitmo. He seems to think all spying is illegitimate and doesn’t understand that a majority of countries “spy” on each other. Why else would someone so “anti-spying” work for national security agency?
He thinks the U.S. Govt. is out to murder him. Helloooooo….nut job alert.
He also said more people die in bath tub accidents than from terrorism.
Someone is definitely higher than a kite. I can see the DOJ thinking: “Please Proceed, Mr. Snowden.”
He’s a nut and a half. He obviously thought he’d be reprising the role of Evelyn Salt but he’s more like ‘Dumb and Dumber’ playing spy games on Wii. Leave espionage to the grown ups, Snowball. 🙄

Everything’s fine otherwise – thanks for checking in! 🙂
I’m thinking it’s Greenwald actually answering the questions!
Snowden’s claim about PBO not living up to his campaign promises really rankles me. Firstly, he didn’t vote for Obama. Secondly, if those who voted for PBO don’y help him pass his agenda by staying active and vocal, then campaign promises are just that, nothing more, and I doubt he did anything to actively pass this agenda item. Thirdly, PBO deliberately chose not to use executive orders on things like closing Guantanamo. Executive orders can be overturned easily, which is why he has always preferred having the weight of Congress behind any laws that are passed, especially ones of such magnitude. And fourthly, he, and Greenwald, said they vetted the contents before releasing them. Isn’t it ironic that they are playing God, when what they are protesting against is just that? Also, if they have vetted, how does exposing what NSA is doing with other countries help the domestic agenda? That is treacherous.
Talking about "Obama's campaign promises" from a guy who didn't even vote for Obama, leave alone fight for his agenda #AskSnowden

Thinking people…call this PROPAGANDA, which is exactly what this charade is.
I am thinking Greenwald and Snowden may just be a further reach of the GOP and their ploy to divide Obama from his supporters and drive down his public support especially prior to the midterm election.
OG, that may be their intent, but they underestimate the president’s supporters, as usual. Most of us see this for what it is–an act of treason again the US.
Just logging in and I’m absolutely giddy with all the coverage! If only work wasn’t getting in the way of my viewing and participation… I thought I’d stay up to watch the arrivals last night, and couldn’t find a live feed – so I trusted that there’d be plenty of coverage from Chips and the TOD blog tyrants today – and I am so grateful that I was right. Now, if only I could stop all these meetings so I could leisurely peruse the many, many posts…! I’m smiling from ear to ear, and actually giddy with all the fantastic pictures and the wonderful reception that the First Family has received. Thanks so much!
They are showing that against a backdrop of actual photos of the Obamas in Ireland, where people are cheering. Of course, earlier in the day, they were giving more air play to Google balloons and flying bikes, but, hey.
From 2007 to 2009, Hill worked as a political contributor for the Fox News Channel, where he regularly appeared on The O’Reilly Factor, Huckabee, and Hannity
Who is this guy, and why is he so much holier than anyone else?
Also, sorry….”me and my friends’ understanding…..is a terrible grammatical construction. He should say “Shaped the understanding of guns for my friends and me.” In English, the “me” or “I” always goes after the other people as a matter of protocol and etiquette. I know this is a commonly used construction, but if he wants to get all correct, he should correct his grammar!
I think he’s on the extreme end of the gun culture debate. I think our issues with mass shootings and deaths have more to do with improper safety (toddlers killing people), lack of mental health, gun trafficking, members of Congress protecting gun manufacturers, gang culture, and parents exposing their children to violent movies and music for hours on end. These issues don’t stem from water guns. The President recently mentioned that Sasha hasn’t even seen an R rated movie. How many 12 year-olds you know that have not seen at least 1 R-rated movie. I’ll wait. She was 10 years old at the time but she’s not imitating some gangster flick or practicing for a drive-by because she lives in a community where that happens frequently she’s just playing. Sometimes playing is just playing. Cops and robbers, tag, freeze, hopscotch, patty cake. These are just childhood games, nothing more.
He also went on to mention how it’s hypocritical for the President to release this picture because of his gun safety and background check push, again not on the same ballfield. But oh wells, everyone has an opinion just expressing mine.
That thing about the R-rated movies goes to parenting plain and simple, IMHO.. My 10-yr nephew knows he must get permission to see PG-13 and adheres to his mother’s rule about that. When I asked if he wanted to go see Man of Steel, first thing he did was ask what’s the rating. I’d already cleared it with his Mom, of course. Big smile on his face when I told him that. 🙂
I have a cousin with pre-teen & teenaged kids. She’ll feign protest of her kids watching R-rated movies in my presence, because she knows I don’t think it’s right, but I know she pretty much let’s them watch whatever they want, just so they’re out of her hair. Then she’s surprised that when they say and do things that are age-inappropriate in real life.
I suppose nowadays, every Tweet, Twit and Twisted are critics of Pres Obama. They want to spoon fed him, dress him and chide him 24/7.
Now had Twitter been as large tool as it is in 2013 in 2004, 2005 and 2006…….GW Bush would have begged to resign. Heck there was No Twitter in 2004, 2005, perhaps not even in 2006 too.
BAM! Thanks Dudette for your excellent tweet in response to this infantile guy. Apparently, just because he has never overcome his childish ways, he thinks that we must all remain children. Marc Lamont Hill needs to grow up!
Well it looks like now that I have a bit of free time to watch footage of Miche and PBO, there is no footage. rTe isn’t rebroadcasting the footage of Miche at the concert hall 😦 me iz vewy vewy sad.
That’s great! Thanks for letting me know Chips. Sorry about your computer problems- I’d read about it over the weekend– and thanks for uploading the vid, no matter how long it takes, I have a feeling it’ll be worth it. 🙂
Think he is term limited, not sure….but I know he said he was not running for anything for a while…..I expect him to be a finalist for the SCOTUS when Ginsberg steps down.
Question for this Marc……LHill, has he Not seen a picture of POTUS with squirt guns before? Has he not seen the Skeet shooting photo? The guy is a foolish idiot. He appears on CNN several times, always to bash pres Obama. He hangs with HuffPost crew and when he speaks, he sound too immature.
Statements such as these two are what do the sensible gun legislation proponents a great deal of harm. Obviously that Hill doesn’t care about the water gun. He cares only about trying to make the President look bad. So does Dwayne West. I doubt that these people are working with the gun legislation lobby or Senators to help the real life gun situation. They don’t deserve the notoriety of attention.
Seeing all these lovely pictures I´m totally giddily excited that they´ll be heading to Germany tomorrow night and stay over Wednesday. Of course they´ll be 500 kilometres away from me and I´ll be stuck at school all afternoon with temperatures in the 90s unable to watch any live covereage, but wheeeeee! 😀
Admittedly the focus has been on the way she fumbled through her answer. Her answer seemed to center on “creating education better.” [As an educator, DF, I’m sure that you have some agreement with the need to make changes in how we educate our children.]
However, even as the Think Progress article indicates, the wage gap issue goes beyond education. Women are attaining the same degrees (i.e., have access to the same education) or higher as men but still earning less.
She did make reference to men being in charge. That and the preconceived notions that [some] men continue to have about a woman’s ability, availability, and “conventional” role(s) continue to come into play.
But I will concede DF, that once you look beyond her stumbling through her answer, Miss Utah’s answer included some good points. 😐
Supreme Court ruled that if you do not answer a question the police ask prior to reading your Miranda rights, your silence can be used against you in court because you did not take the 5th before not answering and prior to your rights being read to you .

Jonathan Atler on MSNBC (with Andrea Mitchell) talking about PBO not being about to deftly handle politics make me wanna throw something at the TV. CLICK!!
It makes me wonder how this POTUS managed to be elected POTUS and did it 2X in a nation that is not very receptive to people of Color? I wonder how this POTUS did manage to get elected without a Machine behind him? Were those tasks not possible without political skills? Rev Wright in March or April 2008? Losing NH in 2008? The 1st debate in Oct 2012?
Once again, clueless idiots on TV/Cable being paid hugely and spouting crappy bat poop nonsense.
Lets not forget that these same pundits also predicted that then Senator Obama had no chance in defeating the well known and well oiled machine of the Clintons so he should just geecause he will not secure the Democratic nomination.
POTUS managed to be elected twice because the American people love and trust him
All of us. Black, Latino, Asian and, get over it Pundtwits, White people, too.
And the new meme and polls today that PBO is “losing our trust” is as real as the other crap you were spewing, “One Term President.”
Nena, these tv pundits have gotten to the point of self-parody. When you can start predicting what comes out of their mouths before they say it, they are just talking furniture on a tv set. Not worth watching or listening to..unless you like to see furniture talk.
At Penn State University, there were four sophomores taking chemistry and all of them had an ‘A’ so far. These four friends were so confident that the weekend before finals, they decided to visit some friends and have a big party. They had a great time but, after all the hearty partying, they slept all day Sunday and didn’t make it back to Penn State until early Monday morning.
Rather than taking the final then, they decided that after the final they would explain to their professor why they missed it. They said that they visited friends but on the way back they had a flat tire. As a result, they missed the final. The professor agreed they could make up the final the next day. The guys were excited and relieved. They studied that night for the exam.
The next day the Professor placed them in separate rooms and gave them a test booklet. They quickly answered the first problem worth 5 points. Cool, they thought! Each one in separate rooms, thought this was going to be easy … then they turned the page. On the second page was written…
I once overslept at about age 22 during the first week of starting a new job. Didn’t want to lie because of karma, but fluttered my eyelashes and told the new boss I had “car trouble.” He very nicely took off his suit jacket, picked up a wrench and a rag or something, and offered to go out to the parking lot to look at me car.
Not sure what happened after that, because I think I fainted dead away and got caught up in the tangled web I had weaved when first I practiced to deceive.
I’m not saying I was never late after that, just that “car trouble” wasn’t used again as the reason. I got to be quite inventive. Ha!
Schmooze? Meaning Kissing their arses? Bowing to them? Washing their feet? Being led by them…the self proclaimed know it all? Fetching them Coffee as Bill Clinton once said and forced the late sen Ted Kennedy to put him in his place and went out and publicly supported then sen Obama in Feb of 2008.
Sometimes I listen to these political pundits whining that the President doesn’t schmooze enough republicans (I don’t know why he should) and I beganthinking that it is just a cover what they really want to say is that the President doesn’t schmooze enough with them (pundits). I tell you Alter and the other dumbasses that call themselves pundits wished they had the Presidents ears that is their problem. The President is not needy and he doesn’t seek their approval and that just makes them mad, I bet many of them hoped President Obama would invite them to play a little one-on-one B ball. Sore losers all of them
Yes. And hey, I think our President would like to meet any rational Republican half-way and maybe even have them to the WH for coffee, but I don’t think (and I certainly do not want) that he wants to “schmooze” them, going by Nena20409’s most apt descriptors of what that entails.
Demographics have changed. The world has changed. Yet, the “establishment” wants to continue operating under their antiquated rules and customs, which the President will not adhere to.
Dudette, every time Mitchell opens her mouth she shows her own ugly, unbridled hatred of PBO. The president works beautifully with people of all ages and races. He has charisma that lights up any room he enters. He’s brilliant beyond almost everyone he talks to. And the jealousy and rage against all of this just eats at the Mitchells of the world. He doesn’t need her or her ilk and that truly burns her insides.
Alter peddled this b.s. on local progressive radio this weekend. He then said if Romney had won, the country would have been ruined, but PBO only won because he was lucky. It was all I could do to not drive my car off the road.
Winning a Lottery is being Lucky. Winning President of USA without a Machine and doing it with 70M in 2008 and 65.9M in 2012 is NOT Luck. They know it and it kills them
Barack Obama bucked the system and won. And there are those in the media, and sadly among his party as well, who resent that they were bested. So the President’s intelligence, popularity, and achievements are downplayed and every inkling of negativity is exaggerated. And some Democrats seem to be in advanced stages of backbone deficiency which goes to their lack of support and passive behavior when the President tries to push his agenda, as well as their failure to tout accomplishments of the administration.
That statement by Alter is juvenile. To speak of schmoozing as if that was a legitimate political concern, sounds like the high school football player looking for good grades by doing so. Andrea Mitchell, by tweeting this, just put herself on the same level.
If ever there was a schmoozer, it was LBJ….look what happened to him. You cannot schmooze your way to good policy and legislation, no matter what Alter thinks. These people are just mad that the president doesn’t choose to spend his time with them…..he is really changing politics in Washington and outside, and they are afraid they’re going to be left behind. They are really used to the Bushes, the Clintons and the Reagans. They need to grow up.
^^^ THIS. Every word. And some of them don’t know that they have already been left behind, and have lost all of their credibility. Any of us who have worked among a sizable group of people, even a smaller group or a family unit, know that eventually “someone” will speak up and suggest changing course, when things just aren’t working out. There does not seem to be anyone in the punditry or MSM who even knows that’s a possibility. Well, maybe a few, but I haven’t had lunch, so give me a few minutes to think of their names.
This was lovely. One of the comments in one of the side links:
“The BBC’s Mark Simpson says he just bumped into a man beside Erne Hospital who said his wife was about to give birth – her waters had broken. The man had asked her if she could “hang on for a minute” so he could go out and see the Obama cavalcade”.
President Obama’s arrival and his speech were greeted with wild applause and cheers. They laughed at his jokes and whooped at his local references, even when he got the pronunciation wrong.
Afterwards an excitable young man told me the experience was “better than being at a pop concert”.
PBO’s charisma shines worldwide but the US MSM “cannot see it”. Reality is that they are hand in glove with GOP and keep making up cr…p as they can to try to depress Dem enthusiasm and they keep falling for it every time.
I know – I was smiling all the way through that article (except for the woman who mentioned that Bill Clinton wouldn’t have made pronunciation errors…). there’s always one sour apple….

Sarah Palin Knocks Jeb Bush’s Comments on Immigration ‘As Someone Who Is Fertile Herself’
Skip Introrss Wingnuts • 18 hours, 32 minutes ago • Views: 498
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) knocked former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) and his recent comments on immigration while speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual conference.
On Saturday, Palin criticized Bush for saying the future of America’s economy depends upon immigrants in part because they “are more fertile” and create more businesses than native-born Americans.
“I say this as someone who’s kind of fertile herself,” Palin said
Yes, She is Fertile, well, was Fertile. At 49yrs of age…..going on Five-0 in Feb 2014, I am not sure that USA is clamoring for more of her Broods? Sorry Sarah.
First, did Jeb Bush really say that immigrants are helpful to the future of America’s economy because they are more “fertile.” WTF? Secondly, Sarah, dear, dear Sarah (not) … exactly what businesses have your spawn started for the good of the American economy? “Hair school”, and in the gutter type reality tv shows do not exactly exemplify American pride. Sorry.
Why do I get the idea the Alaska Barbie only sees fertility in relation to progeny? Maybe Jeb too was referring to their productivity as business creators?
SCOTUS invoked Bush V Gore? That dreadful imposed ruling on Dec 9, 2000? I thought We The People were told Never to reference that Rule? Hmm? Thomas was the one who invoked it?
Frankly, I have no issues with those who objected in the early 2000s and are still there today. I am one of them. I object all kinds of privacy invasion by Corporations, especially. However, it is legal, lawful and I don’t chide the POTUS for doing what he said in 2007 that he would do. That is where I part ways with many on the loud left and libertarians.
What began as an arguably constructive process has devolved into a dangerous one. Snowden’s leaks now threaten American diplomatic and intelligence assets. These are irresponsible and criminal actions. Those who continue to support Snowden’s behavior can no longer rely on the transparency or good government arguments. This is a criminal conspiracy bordering on treason. Whatever moral authority the NSA leaker once enjoyed is now gone and his champions should reconsider their support.
Add to that, he contacted Greenwald and Poitras BEFORE he started working at Booz-Allen. That means he did this with INTENT to harm the US GOV. That’s a b it treasony.
If there’s any common thread holding all of these misreportings and poor fact checking together, it is time. The rush to be first out of the gate with explosive new details of anything — or, in the Guardian’s case, the rush to publish before Snowden could be located and arrested — created perverse incentives to publish without verification. Washington Post freelancer Barton Gellman even said that his attempts to verify some of Snowden’s claims led to Snowden pushing the same documents to the Guardian because they would publish faster.
Yet the rush to be first has also led to false or deeply misleading stories about the scope and purpose of government activities. Some of this misreporting goes viral, cementing untruths in the public that corrections after the fact will never repair. In the meantime, revelations that more than half the Senate skipped a classified NSA briefing last week go mostly unremarked upon, as do government claims that these NSA programs thwarted attacks in more than 20 countries. The U.S. is now openly concerned that Snowden could be an asset working for the Chinese government. Those stories aren’t nearly as sexy as the apparently shocking revelation that governments spy on each other.
Jonathan Capehart? The guy is a total idiot. Gallup had POTUS at 47% yesterday or the day before. Capehart is part of the poor Journalism these days. Was he talking about Europe? Even at that, I would have some issues too.

Gallup? Really? The one who messed up so totally in the last election? They have had and still continue to have no veracity when it comes to anything involving PBO. Let’s keep moving.
Yes, this is the summer silly season. The House does NO work, just “investigates” not real scandals, the Senate quarrels and looks impotent, and all that dislike spills over on to the President. People see dysfunction, and the person at the top gets the blame. Americans need to grow up, just as the Washington bubble inhabitants need to grow up and do some real work. Perhaps one of the good things we could do would be to cut the airwaves of all cable “news” channels. I firmly believe 24/7 cable networks squawking have damaged our political process and understanding.
Talk about ignorance. Today I heard on NPR that recent research shows that just 39% of Americans accept evolution as a scientific process……the LOWEST of any industrialized country, right down at the bottom with Turkey. What does that tell you!!!
The same Gallup who had Mitt Romney with a 7 point lead in the polls, or was it tied? Maybe this is a another Gallup. I know during last year election I got so dam tired of polls, that if I could I would have strangle every last one of them. I still am fed up with polls.
That poll result would be more of a reflection on the state of the electorate, if true. And it would call into serious question what values are held in this country by its citizens, if true. This President has consistently held himself to a higher standard in his work, attitude, the way he treats other people, what he expects from his staff, and how he evaluates information. His results have been exemplary, especially in light of the crap he’s been dealt from the left and the right. I really can’t imagine that thinking people don’t see this.
Jovie I have just checked and Gallup has PBO at 47% approval and 44% disapproval this evening/afternoon. The poll is either a different one or it is not true.
Just read more into Gallup and the poll you probably heard wasn’t President Obama’s approval ratings but that 37% of Americans approve of the adminsitration arming the Syrian rebels.
Lonnie Snowden, father of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, asked his son in an interview with Fox News set to air Monday not to leak more information.
“We want you to be safe, we want you to be happy, but I know you’re your own man and you’re going to do what you feel that you have to do,” he said, addressing his son in an interview recorded on Sunday. “I believe firmly that you are a man of principle, I believe in your character, I don’t know what you’ve seen, but I just ask that you measure what you’re going to do and not release any more information.”
Snowden is reportedly in hiding in Hong Kong, where he is hoping to avoid the prosecution that numerous lawmakers and authorities have called for in the wake of his actions. On Monday, he participated in a live chat with The Guardian, to which he first gave information about the NSA’s massive data surveillance programs. He defended his decision to disclose classified information during the question-and-answer session.
The elder Snowden also defended his son’s character during the interview with Fox News, responding to what he called “misinformation in the media.” While Snowden spoke out strongly against the NSA practice that his son’s leaks have revealed, he also made it clear that he didn’t want him to “release any secrets that could constitute treason,” suggesting that the current stress he faced could lead to a “bad decision.”
I wonder which is worse: continuing a program of intrusive monitoring that has been demonstrated to keep the country safe and has essentially gone on in this country since at least the time of Hoover, or revealing state secrets (of your own country and other countries) and potentially creating irreversible international incidents – and jeopardizing real lives? I don’t know what’s supposed to be honourable about any of this Snowden’s behavior. We all disagree with things our government does – but we don’t blow the whole deal up just because we can! The millions of people who protested the Iraq war or the Patriot Act stopped short of risking lives and limbs in their expression of disapproval.
For years, we’ve heard of the government uncovering plots by listening to “chatter”. Just where did these people think the “chattering” was happening? On CB radios? Of course the government has been monitoring communications. That’s why cyber warfare is huge and why hiring in this area is gaining tremendous momentum. The world has changed. It’s naive to think otherwise.
Hi Chips and TOD family. Hope you don’t mind my venting a little. Well, maybe a lot. First, a big thanks to you, Chips, for this coverage and all that you do to lift up our president. I had to step away from Twitter for a while because supposed Obama supporters have lost their minds and are blaming him for every damn thing under the son. It’s disgusting. These are some of the same folks whose hair was on fire during the election. They blamed PBO for everything, blamed those manipulated polls from Gallup and swore he had lost. After he won, they came back on twitter apologizing for their actions. they are doing the same garbage again.
POTUS & FLOTUS gave magnificent speeches are doing phenomenal work in Ireland, but these so-called supporters are tripping instead of attacking the real enemies — GOP and the media.
One even sort of called me Bagdad Bob. LOL.
I don’t care. I will NEVER tear down my President. I will always lift him up. And that is why I thank you again, Chips, for this site that lifts up our president and never, ever tears him or his team down. I don’t know what we would do without you.
Pretty sure we’ve all been called worse than Baghdad Bob! Good for you to take ’em on. If I do that, my next step usually is to unfollow them and move on, because there are too many fish to broil.
Proud, I’m with you on this rant. I’ve seen many of these same so-called supporters using emoprog talking points, repeating MSM-manufactured polls as if they were valid and reinforcing BS media memes. I’ve been blocked and un-followed because I simply push back on their crap and refuse to allow their demoralizing narratives to creep into my (and others’) mental space.
I will continue to push back on their nonsense, because as far as I’m concerned, they are part of the problem. Attacking the President on Twitter based on false memes, lies and slander is just as irresponsible and damaging as pushing those lies and slander in the first place.
Exactly. I almost wonder if they’re GOP plants. No one who truly supports POTUS behaves this way. And it is so damaging. That CNN poll is so full of holes it isn’t even funny. Yet, they’re screaming like the world has come to an end. It’s infuriating.
I’m with you Proud, apart from RTing a few reliables today, like Bob Cesca and Goldie Taylor, and tweeting Ireland stuff, I avoided reading most of it – can’t take much more of this Snowden bullshit, etc.
I don’t believe they are GOP plants, but I can see why you might think so. I too, have occasionally questioned their alliances at times (thinking they may have alliances within the DEM party who feel superior to PBO and his team in terms of intellect, skill, and management).
Al Jazeera America Plans ‘America Tonight’ Nightly News Program
By Alex Weprin on June 17, 2013 9:11 AM
Al Jazeera America has pulled back the curtain on one of its new signature programs: a primetime current affairs magazine, “America Tonight.” The one-hour program will air at 9 PM nightly, and will be executive produced by former CNN EP and executive Kim Bondy.
Adam May, Lori Jane Gliha and Christof Putzel will be three of the correspondents reporting for the program.
“America Tonight” will originate from The Newseum in Washington DC, in the space formerly occupied by ABC News’ “This Week.” The series “will present in-depth segments each night on the economy, government, education, healthcare and the environment, and include breaking news.” the channel says.
I’m not sure that AJ commentary will be of any interest. They are oil corporations owned.
Their actual news is covered in depth with reporters on the ground.
But their opinions??? No Thanks!!

Hmm? TPM is reporting that NFL is banning Purses ❓ and backpacks in the Stadiums.
http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/nfl-bans-purses-backpacks-in-stadiums
What’s left? Clothes?
Exactly! Strip searches coming right up!
Well, for me, No Purses, No games. They are going to chase out a few women from attending the Games.
Exactly! We don’t travel lightly. Ha!
I certainly don’t! 🙂
CNN headline: “Obama’s approval rating tumbles”
They are showing that against a backdrop of actual photos of the Obamas in Ireland, where people are cheering. Of course, earlier in the day, they were giving more air play to Google balloons and flying bikes, but, hey.
Bye, bye CNN. Even muted, you DISGUST me.
Ditto. My remote doesn’t even land on that channel anymore.
I try to travel at least once over to CNN and MSNBC any day the President is on a trip abroad, hoping for the best.
Hopes are always dashed, so off I go.
If you have CNN International try that, but even there you get some of the foolishness.
Thanks.
This guy is an idiot! Talk about false equivalence! I just want shake his stupid ass!
I vote we give EVERYONE A SQUIRT GUN and get rid of the other ones! Problem solved
I like the way you think. But then the water cannon lobby will have all the power!! 😀
🙂
From 2007 to 2009, Hill worked as a political contributor for the Fox News Channel, where he regularly appeared on The O’Reilly Factor, Huckabee, and Hannity
Thank you Layla! That explains a lot!
Ahhhhhh….. The Token. Gotcha! 😉
Good on you “grammar hammer”!
Parenting.
Hill now works for HuffPuff Live….
Oh no Marc!!!!!! What about this!!!!!

Oops! headline missing….”Barbie with a gun”
This is what I said to him
Hellooooooo Lisa! The video should be up on the RTE site soon, but I’m uploading it now – will take a while, though 😦
That’s great! Thanks for letting me know Chips. Sorry about your computer problems- I’d read about it over the weekend– and thanks for uploading the vid, no matter how long it takes, I have a feeling it’ll be worth it. 🙂

Good news……he was in charge of Medicare and Medicaid for PBO until the Senate refused to confirm him.
and what about Gov Patrick? Anyone know?
Think he is term limited, not sure….but I know he said he was not running for anything for a while…..I expect him to be a finalist for the SCOTUS when Ginsberg steps down.
thank you! Now that would be awesome to have him on the Supremes 🙂 🙂
LP, he is for sure! Two terms and that’s it!
So I posted this tweet in the other thread
And there is an ongoing conversation about it but I wanted to share THIS tweet because…WTF?? Really? Water guns are the root?
My first response:
My 2nd and 3rd responses:
Question for this Marc……LHill, has he Not seen a picture of POTUS with squirt guns before? Has he not seen the Skeet shooting photo? The guy is a foolish idiot. He appears on CNN several times, always to bash pres Obama. He hangs with HuffPost crew and when he speaks, he sound too immature.
Oh no Marc, what about this: Barbie with a gun!!!!!!! http://gifs.gifbin.com/4508sw225.gif
Reposted from above, posted in wrong spot. Sorry Please delete duplicate post Chips.
Oh no, not Barbie! Whatever will Marc do?
Oh wow… 🙂
LOL!
HA!!
Because I was in a cave all weekend….
AMEN!
No, they do not.
Yes, I saw that most of Europe is finally getting summer. We’re having our usual June gloom here in L.A.

The Blaze, swbluega? She may not have been the most adept with her answer, but she wasn’t off the mark
http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2013/06/17/2166551/miss-utah-gender-wage-gap/
I gather The Blaze is not an acceptable source… 😳
Does that make any sense ?
Haaaiiiilll No!

Missed it. I refuse to watch during the day….thanks for letting me know, though:)
You can see video on MSNBC website later on.
I caught the tail end of her interview of Delaware Atty Gen Beau Biden.
Love this !!!!!!!!!!!!
“just drop out of the race because” sorry about that
POTUS managed to be elected twice because the American people love and trust him
These so called pundits knows absolutely nothing about the President.
BINGO!!
Thanks for that heads up, LP!
Sure thing JB, I saw Pfieffer announce this morning but didn’t know when it would air….
The Final Exam
For 95 points: Which tire? __
Smart professor!
In other words, Don’t cut my class!
Ouch!
Ha!
Yikes!
Told that story to my grandkids as a little warning how not to behave!
🙂
Ding, ding, ding!!! You got it!!
This!!!
As if any of them have the faintest idea of what Intution truly is, and how it is to be used.
They know it and it kills them
It was obnoxious. Only because Romney was such a bad candidate, yada yada. Nothing to do with policies, of course.
White people really do feel comfortable commenting on POC intelligence level but racism doesn’t exist.

Hello all.
Good report from the Beeb on part of PBO’s visit to Ireland.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-22942345
This was lovely. One of the comments in one of the side links:
“The BBC’s Mark Simpson says he just bumped into a man beside Erne Hospital who said his wife was about to give birth – her waters had broken. The man had asked her if she could “hang on for a minute” so he could go out and see the Obama cavalcade”.
This part was telling too :
The older lady really worked my nerves this morning with all if her negative commentary.
Oh, I think they do see it, criquet, but it drives them wild with envy. It is beyond their ken and totally outside their control.
More glorious old photographs!
Awesome!
Boom!!!!!!
But…but….Manning is “wha” and these other people are “blah”
I thought this was one of the best tweets EVAH.
DAMN!!!
wish I could like this 1000x

She is gross.
SCOTUS invoked Bush V Gore? That dreadful imposed ruling on Dec 9, 2000? I thought We The People were told Never to reference that Rule? Hmm? Thomas was the one who invoked it?

I guess he forgot about ” Extraordinary Rendition ” conducted on his watch……
Frankly, I have no issues with those who objected in the early 2000s and are still there today. I am one of them. I object all kinds of privacy invasion by Corporations, especially. However, it is legal, lawful and I don’t chide the POTUS for doing what he said in 2007 that he would do. That is where I part ways with many on the loud left and libertarians.
Excellent Cesca cleaning up the mess…

http://www.mediaite.com/online/snowden-surrenders-moral-authority-with-dangerous-leaks-about-american-u-k-spying-techniques/
And Rand Paul is fundraising off this guy….
Add to that, he contacted Greenwald and Poitras BEFORE he started working at Booz-Allen. That means he did this with INTENT to harm the US GOV. That’s a b it treasony.
Yes…”a bit treasony” to say the least….
Excellent. https://medium.com/state-of-play/bb27db32ae38
Those stories aren’t nearly as sexy as the apparently shocking revelation that governments spy on each other.
ok…. both my Republican Senators… Chambliss and Isakson claim they attended the Intelligence briefing on Thursday……..
I hope their staffers are not lying.
Omg! Caprhart just said that Gallup has the President at 36% all time low.
I am listening in the car so I can’t confirm, is this true?
Some poll overseas.
The pundit reported this overseas poll immediately after PBO’s speech early this morning on MSNBC.
I saw that……
Jonathan Capehart? The guy is a total idiot. Gallup had POTUS at 47% yesterday or the day before. Capehart is part of the poor Journalism these days. Was he talking about Europe? Even at that, I would have some issues too.

Probably happens EVERY DAMN SUMMER SILLY SEASON!
Here’s Gallup’s page and their numbers
http://www.gallup.com/home.aspx
Gallup?
Personally I have no interest in their silly daily polls!!! They are doing this only to influence the narrative! Best to ignore.
The same Gallup who had Mitt Romney with a 7 point lead in the polls, or was it tied? Maybe this is a another Gallup. I know during last year election I got so dam tired of polls, that if I could I would have strangle every last one of them. I still am fed up with polls.
PBO would have to kick a puppy on TV to get that low.
**I do not advocate the kicking of puppies. 🙂
That would be a symptom of Romnesia. 🙂
Huff Puff
Well stated, as usual.
I am listening to Randi Rhodes and it appears that she is buying into this Snowden/Greenwald story.
You sure? She hasn’t up until today, if that’s what she’s saying.
I’ve learned to just bypass certain tweets and not get angry (annoyed, yes). It’s very very difficult to do but possible.
Same here GB. If I feel that I can’t take anymore of their foolishness, I just unfollow them.
Or block them completely
Pretty sure we’ve all been called worse than Baghdad Bob! Good for you to take ’em on. If I do that, my next step usually is to unfollow them and move on, because there are too many fish to broil.
The only reason I reply is because I just get so tired of seeing our hard working president bashed for no reason. By so-called supporters no less.
I don’t blame you. Eventually I give up, but I do sometimes reply.
Agree – almost as bad as having political enemies is having fair-weather political “supporters.”
No Thanks!!
