During a tribute to Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., the longest serving Congressman in American history, Mary Wilson of the Supremes asked House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Cal., and others, including Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, to join her onstage in a rendition of the hit song “Stop! In the Name of Love.” Hilarity ensued.

the hawaii-based officer who passed secret info was sentenced to 10 years in prison today (possibly snojob should pay attention to this):

    ‘ HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) –

A military jury has found a Schofield Barracks officer guilty of illegally possessing and passing classified national defense information.

Military prosecutors say Army Maj. Seivirak Inson, 43, attempted to hand over a number of military secrets to members connected to the Cambodian government between 2009 and 2012.

Prosecutors say that Inson — who is of Cambodian ancestry — took classified U.S. intelligence reports about the Cambodian military and gave it to unauthorized personnel.

The military jury on Friday evening sentenced Maj. Inson to 10 years in prison, forfeiture of pay and dismissal from the Army. ‘

I love the way the President holds him. Heck, I love the way the Pres holds all babies and toddles; the holds vary but no matter how casual they look the babies always seem so relaxed and comfortable or happy and giggly.

well tiger is tanking it a little at the u.s. open (by his standards at least), but i like steve stricker who is in second place. i’d love for steve to beat that selfish republican “i got mine” moron phil mickelson. go stricker!

    • June 15, 2013 at 8:45 pm

“Tanking a bit”??? He’s 9 over!!! C’mon Tiger, get into the top 10!!!

considering the winner will probably be right around even par for the tournament, and tiger’s penchant for explosive rounds in situations like this where he’s kind of p.o.’ed now, i wouldn’t be surprised at all if he ends up in the top 10 at the end.

Okay, a bit of advice from your friendly Liberal Librarian.

If you don’t like watching all the various online news sources on your PC, and miss the feel of a big television, get a device like the Sony streamer with Google TV, or the Boxee Box. They have fully functional web browsers, and you can find all the big names online—BBC World, AJE, France24, and so on. Well worth the investment.

Hey, ChristMTL, good to see you join the conversation (if you’re still here).

The #Snowdon / Greenwald scandal is the best thing that’s happened since the Cold War ended. Can’t get enough of it.

  25. June 15, 2013 at 9:15 pm

GE Chips, TOD…….I see GG is crawfishing out the creek as fast as he can…..so predictable, but will MSM call him on it? (Rhetorical) we know the answer. Damage is done…….he has enabled a traitor, and he should bear full responsibility for doing so.

      Meta, THANK YOU!

Can’t get enough of Joe, and this was one of the better “breakfast meet-and-greet” videos that I’ve seen.

Anyone who sees this and thinks that Joe can’t run for POTUS in 2016 is full-on crazy!

Of course, I’m biased, but hope things work out that way. He’s always been more progressive than the other “mainstream” Dems.

Also liked the fact that he’s supporting Mike Honda (incumbent Japanese American congressman who is being primaried by a South Asian-American challenger). Again, since I’m Japanese-American, I’m obviously biased; our representation in the American landscape is quickly shrinking, being replaced with South Asians and South Koreans.

In the past decade or so there’s best a huge influx of almost exclusively South Korean Asians to my community.

Every one seems to be jumping the gun, splashing attention-getting headlines before figuring out what’s really going on. (Casting no aspersions on @jbb3rd, he’s just tweeting about something that C-Net posted.

    C-Net, a tech site. Sheesh.

Joe Bruns is a good guy.

His was the only tweet I had that had a link to the C-NET article.

He was only a messenger expressing personal concern, not a @ggreenwald or #snowden water-carrier.

It’s C-NET and the sloppy stories that pose as journalism that is the real concern.

Again, Mueller said there needs to be a “FISA court order” to listen to a call. Jesus, the reporting on this NSA thing has been AWFUL.
