There should be a law passed that Christopher Nolan is the only person who is allowed to write, direct, and produce a superhero movie. Anyone else trying to do so should be leveled to the fucking ground. Hot damn! that man has talent.

      Hello everyone,

Chips, you and your blog tyrants were kicking ass and taking names this past week. Y’all were putting foot up so many asses this week…it was a thing a of beauty. A toast to y’all for a job well done! Thank you so much!

I have my bags packed and ready to travel with the First Family through all of the wonderful photos and videos that you will post along with way. Thank you in advance.

Nena, thank you for posting PBO’s Speech in Berlin…it gave me chills all over again.

You would think that the Republicans, MSM, and the GGs of the world, would know by now that this President is squeaky-clean and will not allow anything to tarnish his administration. They may continue to try, but if past is prologue, their attempts will prove to be futile.

Harry Connick Jr. on writing ‘Love Wins’ for a Newtown victim: “No matter the tragedy, love is going to conquer”
As Friday represents the precise six month mark since the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, this evening Piers Morgan welcomes Harry Connick Jr., a man with a deeply personal connection to the tragedy.

A three-time Grammy Award winner, Connick Jr. lives in Connecticut, and tonight he reveals how he learned about the events in Newtown, and how they touched him directly:

“I was actually watching CNN when it was going down. And I was watching the journalists in front of the school and I saw a familiar face walk behind her. And I told my wife, I paused it. I said ‘That’s Jimmy.’ And she came in and we were both horrified – came to find out that he had lost his little girl,” shares the father of three. “Some time passed. I had been in communication with Jimmy and was profoundly saddened myself by it and wrote a song [‘Love Wins’], basically honoring Ana Grace [Marquez-Greene], but, also the idea of ultimately no matter the tragedy, love is going to conquer.”

Think they heard us bitching and complaining about this??

    http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/06/15/18940842-growth-of-intel-outsourcing-no-secret-but-now-congress-taking-notice?lite

A growing chorus on Capitol Hill is questioning whether U.S. intelligence agencies are farming out too much work to private contractors like Edward Snowden, the Booz Allen Hamilton systems analyst who has claimed credit leaking classified details about surveillance programs.
“Maybe we should bring some of that more in-house — with employees of the federal government, with the oath of office that we take to protect and defend our country and that seriousness of purpose there,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday.

    • June 15, 2013 at 11:28 pm

Gee, ya think? Love Nancy, but shit, all this outsourcing shit began under Bubba, and went into overdrive under Shrub.

        June 15, 2013 at 11:33 pm

I think outsourcing actually began with the actor Reagan. He tried to outsource everything……we started learning about it later, but he snuck a lot in in the 80’s. It is so entrenched now, it will be difficult to dig out, but I’m hoping this entire awful episode will open eyes, and get the right people to change some things. We need to keep making noise about this. It’s dangerous.

Come on Chicago. I don’t even like hockey, I just want to see POTUS welcome a championship team from Chicago at the WH. I don’t think the Bears or White Sox will win anything before POTUS leave office. So sorry Jovie, but Go Blackhawks.

    http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/15/world/asia/north-korea-us-talks/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

Seoul, South Korea (CNN) — North Korea proposed high-level talks with the United States to “ease tensions in the Korean Peninsula,” its state news agency reported early Sunday.
The topics that “can be sincerely discussed” include easing military tensions, changing a truce treaty to a peace treaty and nuclear matters, according to a statement from the North’s National Defense Commission, as reported by the state-run Korean Central News Agency. It left some details — like where and when the talks might be held — up to Washington, and insisted U.S. officials should not lay out any preconditions for talks.

Gary Clarke Jr played at Albert King’s Hall of Fame induction. Albert King is possibly my favorite guitarist. (the position rotates between about a half dozen people)

I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend. Mine finally started as the shift ended today. Yay!!! Tomorrow we pretend like I deserve a monument for letting my wife give me the best gift that I could ever be given, twice.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Top U.S. intelligence officials said Saturday that information gleaned from two controversial data-collection programs run by the National Security Agency thwarted potential terrorist plots in the U.S. and more than 20 other countries – and that gathered data is destroyed every five years.
Last year, fewer than 300 phone numbers were checked against the database of millions of U.S. phone records gathered daily by the NSA in one of the programs, the intelligence officials said in arguing that the programs are far less sweeping than their detractors allege.
