Ok, I’m making margaritas. Who wants one?

I think Josh at TPM has become a full time Obot.

This advice only works if you live somewhere where it’s not overcast.

Here in SoCal, we’re in our usual “June gloom,” (not complaining, I hate hot weather) and I think it’s raining over a good portion of the East (or am I wrong about that?).

Also, this picture is quite misleading. Saturn is hard to see with the naked eye, unlike Jupiter, Mars and Venus. It’s certainly not as big as shown in the graphic. (Just mentioning in case people think it would be easy to spy from their deck or balcony.)

Well, doesn’t everybody keep an eye on the Moon and Saturn, every night, or is it just me? Ha!

I am bringing this over from the last thread, “I am convinced that those Dems who claimed they knew nothing about the NSA programs (i.e., Sen. Merkel Sen. Udall, Rep. Ellison MN. et. al.) want you to believe that they were living under some rock.

The most likely excuse for their unawareness is Plausible Deniability. It’s shameful that they would stoop that low and play that game on very important constitutional and security matter. I don’t trust them nor do I respect them.

They are more dangerous to this country, than any outsider that wants to do harm. At least you know where the enemy is coming from.”

Could not agree with you more, ranman, and they have ZERO ability to do the ‘plausible deniability’ stunt because records exist for every briefing they have been invited to attend and whether they did so, left early, etc.

As indicated to Senator Feinstein earlier today ….

…. we need to shame these ‘public servants’ sworn to ‘protect America from all threats foreign and domestic’ and never allow them to think we aren’t paying attention to what they do.

They are liars. That’s what they do: lie. I don’t have one ounce of respect for any of the people in congress with the exception of Nancy and John Lewis and maybe Hoyer. Everyone else is a ratfaced, double crossing liar, democrats and republicans alike.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/06/16/us-usa-security-idUSBRE95F00B20130616?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews

The U.S. government only searched for detailed information on calls involving fewer than 300 specific phone numbers among the millions of raw phone records collected by the National Security Agency in 2012, according to a government paper obtained by Reuters on Saturday.

The paper circulated on Saturday said that data from the NSA phone and email collections programs not only led U.S. investigators to the ringleader of a plot to attack New York’s subway system in 2009, but also to one of his co-conspirators in the United States.

Don’t know if you’ve seen this, but it seems significant to me that Snowden handed over IP addresses to the Chinese (I know Bobfr has responded to @joshtpm’s tweet)
