    The Chase

    By JM Ashby

    —————————

I agree with most of what Jeffrey Toobin has to say here, arguing that Snowden is neither a hero or a whistelblower. Particularly these passages.
    .
    .
He trusted that information to Glenn Greenwald, which almost guaranteed that nothing good would come of it. He’s toxic to rational debate and he makes it impossible to stake out a middle ground or compromise.

Didn’t know we were on a new post!

For Dudette ~ As a little intro, in case you’re planning on gifting us with some music tonight, here’s a ’70s oldie. Some of the words were true then, and are true now:

    “What the people need
Is a way to make ‘em smile”

this is truly revolutionary. a woman’s right to choose is fundamental to her freedom, and access to this medication gives her the power to keep her choice private. a new world for women!

I am not comfortable with girls younger than 15 having access to this drug….how young is can we go….you need a doc’s prescription for Birth Control …but not for the emergency contraception….

Hey TOD. I’m with you on this prettyfoot. Not far off, we will not need to be responsible for actually raising our babies. They’ll have lobbying groups doing the raising, and insane judges deeming it all so practical.

I disagree with this one. girls under the age of 17 should not be able to receive this without parental notification.

This One works too. What a Fool believes……Doobie Brothers

In the era of Pres Obama…….TBGOPers can’t seen to know what it is that they believe.

Emoprogs are Flipping. Libertarians are their companion now. And Righties, they are have a recurring nightmare.

    This story made me smile.

I remember watching About A Boy round the time it came out. In fact, I think I have it on DVD. The before and after pic is both cute and sad, man Hugh Grant has gotten old…lol

Hugh Grant and Nicholas Hoult have impromptu ‘About a Boy’ Reunion

I wonder if the Obamas did anything extra special today for young Miss Sasha. 12 is a cool age.

go Tally!!! I know I’m late but guuuuuuurl!!! you is on fiyaaah!! i’ve been ignoring this manufactured bullshit crisis/scandal/gate, same as I’ve done for the one before that and the one before that and same as im gonna ignore the next in a never-ending line of manufactured bullshit that the gop keeps spewing to obfuscate important issues like gun control and immigration. I aint feeding that beast. but go on with your bad self! preach it! I was talking to a co-worker who didnt care about the so called scandal, she didn’t care about the stupid media but she cared that she as a citizen wasnt consulted about what the NSA does. I told her that we have a social contract between the government and the people. the government does its part to protect the people and the people live law abiding lives. I told her PBO wasnt obligated to tell the citizenry anything about what he does to keep us safe as long as he informs the other branches of government and has the supervision of the courts. she got it but it’s the principle of it for her. her position is: sure I trust Obama to do this, but what about the next guy. that’s a valuanle point but somehow, I find that it doesnt bother me much. 9/11 changed everything. I couldnt care less about privacy. that shit’s gone with the wind and im not shedding any tears.
