Martin Bashir is slamming these Republicans who are throwing everything they can to get AG Holder out of the Justice Department. As Jonathan Capehart pointed out AG Holder was investigating the AP and Rosen because the Republicans demanded an investigation and now they are outraged because AG Holder did what they asked him to do. Hypocrites all of them, now Goldie Taylor is on

That’s his usual MO. Spend five days ranting, and 2 days being “semi-normal” or normal. It’s a cycle he repeats to keep people watching. MSNBC uses that model but it’s working less and less as people realize that they’re just being used.

I am usually not home when he is on at 4 p.m. CT. I never watch him any more at 6 p.m. if I am lucky to be home by then. Got home early today, hubby had him on. I flew down the hall to my computer room and closed the door. I won’t give any of them on that channel (save LOD) the time. I am not home for Bashir and The Rev., otherwise I’d watch them.

      • May 31, 2013 at 5:27 pm

Whenever he brings his wife on or is shown with his wife, Kathleen, Tweety is much tamed. He calls her, his QUEEN. The man loves Royalty. Cronkite was forced to retire at 65 at CBS. Tweety is now 67 yrs old……I say, he should hang it up.

He was with CNBC when Geraldo was King then on that network, then to MSNBC later.

I used to tape his show. I stopped many yrs ago. And other than what I read here……No way. No How. No More Matthews.

It’s all nonsense – I refuse to praise Megyn Kelly, who helped cover for Rush Limbaugh after his offensive comments about Sandra Fluke, and who has spent several years propping up the same misogynistic party with which she now feigns offense.

As I read your tweet, Randi Rhodes is currently playing sound from Megyn Kelly making wild claims about Trayvon Martin with a picture of a gun on his cellphone and others about marijuana use. She plays stupid when she chooses to do so. She’s rotten to the core.

Tweety is saying Scott Walker is a strong Republican candidate in 2016. Walker was kicked out of college for cheating and never graduated. It is very unlikely the country would replace PBO with a college drop out.

When are people in this country going to be enraged by the extremely poor quality of candidates from the right wing? I’m still seething over the soundbite I heard from good-for-nothing Ann Romney, who declared that the country has lost faith in its government, after her and her husband refused to be transparent in their tax returns. And the fact that the right wing will use Romney to unaccountably spread malicious lies in the next election cycle is infuriating to me. When are people going to demand better?

Does it strike any one strange as if we are living in two worlds. You hear and witness the intellect of President Obama, and then you see these people, and you wonder if this is truly the great United States of America. When friends from home and others from other immigrant communities gather, we wonder how far this country has come. Many in leadership are so uneducated on so many levels. Back home we have corrupt leaders, but they are at leaders, but they know their civics, at least.

It’s like being in the Twilight Zone, africa. It really is mind-boggling. What does give me strength is that President Obama is enjoying a second term – which means that the deranged truly are in the minority – a vocal minority.

Africa, It’s indeed a tale of two Americas! Thankfully, the sensible people are still in the majority. The crazy and ignorant people, who are given the megaphones by the media, are still in the minority.

The trouble is the about 27% of the electorate see uneducated ignorance as a badge of blue collar pride and education as elitist while another significant portion see their greed as more important than the nation’s well being. It’s more than a little scary.

    • May 31, 2013 at 5:54 pm

  15. 92 dotster3
    May 31, 2013 at 5:29 pm

Tweet just revealed himself—–asked the Repub who was giving his deep thoughts on presidential prospects “What about the guy we like around here, Chris Christie?” Tweet is such a farce—-he’s here and there and everywhere, doesn’t matter Dem or Repub, it’s all just a big game. I’ve come to the conclusion that cable programs are completely lost without a presidential campaign to obsess over. Who in the world, outside the beltway, cares 2 hoots about the next presidential campaign right now? Answer: no one. But they all seem unaware of this fact. Clueless to the max.

  16. May 31, 2013 at 5:29 pm

So Chris Christie is the one that is giving Chris Matthews the “chills” these days, he is so sure Clinton and Christie will be the nominees come 2016. Well lets see tweety

    • 94 Nena20409
      May 31, 2013 at 5:38 pm

At the 2004 Dem Convention in Boston Mass, Matthews after seeing the state sen Obama give the Keynote Address, he said….this is going to be the 1st AA president.

So Tweety is now a seer. He knows all :rool: and sees all 😯 . Scary? No. Just luck in his one time prediction.

    • 102 hopefruit2
      May 31, 2013 at 5:48 pm

In that case Clinton and Christie should both be afraid, be very afraid. Tweety and his smirking sidekick Howard fineman have gushed over Bachmann, Perry, Palin, at one time not too long ago, declaring them fit to not only run, but capable of winning. How did that turn out?

Be afraid Clinton, be VERY afraid Christie.

A personal tidbit I found interesting——-my Ct. daughter and fam are hosting an exchange student this summer, a 15 yr. old girl from France. On her application for a host family the only thing she mentions other than her interests——computer, reading, music, competitive swimming, spending time with friends—–was to mention that she was very “open-minded” and she hoped her host family would also be open-minded. I bet she’s read about our rt. wing extremist nutjobs here and that was her way of saying “please don’t stick me with one of those close-minded goofball families. She lucked out—–she will be just fine in my daughter’s home—–who will go all out to make sure she has a full and wonderful experience during her time here.

I very much appreciate what President O is doing concerning student loans. He has often talked about getting his and Michelle’s student loans paid off and the struggle it entails. I know that his daughters will be fine but he still wants young people who want to go to college or other higher education who may not be as blessed to have the opportunity without going broke. I admire that compassion.

I’m just watching TV when I hear a knock on the door. I go over and open the door and there’s a cop standing there. He says, “Hello, I’m officer Jackson. Have your dogs been in your back yard all day?”
    > I tell him that they’ve been out there for 2 or 3 hours and ask if everything is ok. He says they received reports of some dogs in my neighborhood chasing kids on their bikes. He was called to come find the dogs in question.
    > I simply explained to him that it couldn’t be my dogs, as neither of them own bikes.

Hmm, hmm, didn’t I say this would happen last night? Of course the media idiots will say it’s BECAUSE they complained about “off-the-record”. But like I said last night wouldn’t it be something if AG Holder actually planned to have majority of conversation “on-the-record”.

    Just call me “Miss Cleo”…lol

Eric Holder’s Off-The-Record Meeting Becomes Slightly Less Off-The-Record

Eric Holder’s off-the-record meeting with journalists on Thursday turned out to be more “off-the-recordish.”…

Readers may have been surprised, then, to see in-depth reports of the meeting in places such as the Associated Press and Reuters. Both wire services ran lengthy pieces which featured quotes from journalists who had attended the gathering and discussed, in general terms, what Holder and his representatives said to them.

Apparently, the ground rules of the conversation shifted during the meeting. A piece in the Journal explained that the rules were “adjusted.”
