This is by far the most fatuously idiotic story that I have ever came across. How I wish that I could copy over the picture and show you all the absurdity. A JC Penney Billboard displaying a Boiling Kettle and some seeing Adolph Hitler saluting? Seriously? Someone please just Stop already.

Congratulations to your daughter, amk. When our children succeed, our lives are good!

Haven’t watched a presidential arrival for a while, and just watched the video of the President’s arrival in NJ. Noticed some new (to me) SS men…especially the tall one with glasses and the red striped tie on the president’s left. I still miss our Silver Fox!

Will try to find it for you on the post…. Cannot identify the thread, but in the photo, PBO is holding up an absolutely adorable little cherub in a pink tye-dyed onesie, making kissy with her, and she is glowing with joy at him… SilverFox is standing just at PBO’s left shoulder (where he belongs, IMHO), just being there… It is an older pic, maybe from one of the 2012 campaign threads. Sorry, Carolyn, that is the best I can do. I can send it to Chips for you, if she doesn’t mind…..

Syrian Rebels Urge McCain to Get Over Losing to Obama

    Posted by Andy Borowitz

SYRIA (The Borowitz Report)—During a meeting yesterday with Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona), Syrian rebels told the senator that he still seemed “really bitter” about losing the 2008 election to President Obama and advised him to “get over it.”

After meeting with the Arizona senator in the border region near Turkey, a spokesman for the Syrian rebels told reporters that while they appreciated Sen. McCain’s support, “We were kind of uncomfortable with the place it was coming from.”

“It was pretty obvious to me and the other rebels that everything McCain was doing was just to get back at Obama,” the rebel spokesman said. “And we were like, look, that election was five years ago. It’s time to move on.”

Sen. McCain denied that his support of the Syrian rebels had anything to do with a personal vendetta against President Obama, but according to the rebel, “Every time he said ‘Obama,’ a vein in his head kind of bulged out.”

“The man is a simmering cauldron of rage,” the Syrian rebel said. “He needs to turn his anger toward Obama into something more positive. You can’t carry all of that hate around with you forever—it’s not healthy.”

For his part, Sen. McCain said that he was “finished” with the Syrian rebels and would now focus on starting a war with North Korea.

U.S. authorities revealed on Tuesday they have shut down a Costa Rica-based money transfer company that they said provided a digital currency system widely used around the world by cyber-criminals.

In a statement, officials said authorities in Spain, Costa Rica and New York arrested five people on Friday and seized bank accounts and Internet domains associated with the company, Liberty Reserve.

Digital currency is made up of transferable units that can be exchanged for cash. Over the past decade, its use has expanded, attracting attention from the media and Wall Street. The most widely known digital currency is called Bitcoin. Liberty Reserve’s currency was not connected to Bitcoin.

Along with the five arrests, prosecutors filed charges against two more company employees, who were still at large in Costa Rica.

According to an indictment filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, “Liberty Reserve has emerged as one of the principal means by which cyber-criminals around the world distribute, store and launder the proceeds of their illegal activity.”

The indictment said the company had more than a million users worldwide, including at least 200,000 in the United States, and virtually all of its business was related to suspected criminal activity.

President Obama is once again showing that he can work with any Republican that wants to work with him. Chris Christie obviously loves being in President Obama’s company, which must drive the Republicans bat-shit crazy. Barack is going about his business of Presidentin’ while Washington plays its silly games.

    • May 28, 2013 at 1:27 pm

I wonder if Republican’s wives ever ask them why they are so silly. It is obvious to anyone that the President is a good man. I wonder what they really think of their little spineless creatures.

      • 149 Don
        May 28, 2013 at 1:40 pm

When it comes to Barack their wives aren’t thinking about them, they’re thinking about Barack.

        • May 28, 2013 at 2:07 pm

Hah! Bets are the Republican wives suffer from “MoDo” disease. Symptoms include “since I can’t have him, he must be destroyed”. Reminds me of the movie “Fatal Attraction”!

      • 151 vcprezofan2
        May 28, 2013 at 3:56 pm

        ‘I wonder if Republican’s wives ever ask them why they are so silly’ – I doubt that, FayP because their husbands are the ‘head of the house’ (remember Michele Bachmann) and are naturally smarter than they are. {I said that with a straight face too.}

        • 152 vcprezofan2
          May 28, 2013 at 4:01 pm

Me, I wonder how the political Repub wives can stand proudly beside their spouses on the occasions they very obviously don’t know what they are talking about. Personally I would be embarrassed that the whole world was being reminded that *I* was dumb enough to choose this shmuck who doesn’t even know enough to know when to shut up.

They must have the goods on Menendez because he is sounding just like McCain on Syria.
Just doesn’t make any sense, unless he saw that envelope the GOP has on him? :). 🙂

    • May 28, 2013 at 1:32 pm

I remember when Christie went after Menendez. Republicans were accusing him of fraud or something, during one of his runs for Senator. He won the race and the whole thing just disappeared. They have been after him for some time.
