Our “aloof” President, as the MSM tells us, loves children and the children love him back. I wonder how a president who is not “aloof” interacts with children. President Obama is by nature a great teacher.

Alycee, Didn’t you get the e-mail from our illustrious media? Our media believes that President Obama is an ” aloof” and “arrogant” person who does not relate well with people. It’s really amazing to see how the media created President Obama is so totally the opposite of the real President Obama.

    3. Massive cuts to food stamps for the most vulnerable Americans. The House Agriculture Committee approved a farm bill late Wednesday night that would cut federal food stamps by $20.5 billion — more steeply than any legislation since the welfare reforms of the 1990s. Earlier this week, the Senate Agriculture Committee also agreed to a $4.1 billion reduction. The program keeps hundreds of thousands of vulnerable Americans out of the deepest pits of poverty, and even as the Great Recession swelled SNAP rolls, the program continued to push its erroneous payments rates to record lows.

And the threat to human existence might be a tad more significant to what the beltway is obsessing about this week also.

PF, I can understand the crazy House butchering food stamps, but what is the Senate doing approving this dramatic a cut. This is outrageous.

The actual scandal is that Republicans have wasted millions of dollars voting to repeal Obamacare and nothing to create jobs for the American people. Wish the media would focus on that.

Apparently, in revised GOP history, and based on their racist standards, President Obama is the only person (i.e. the only black President) to ever have an umbrella held for him – despite copious evidence to the contrary. The charge appears to have been led by Palin, even though there’s evidence that she had umbrellas held in the past for her. And then it seems to have been picked up by the foolish media. Just one more proud moment for Americans.

“Mr. Carney, who often plays cards with Mr. Obama on their many airplane trips, seems to relish the rhythm of being a spokesman for a president he deeply admires. “I had 21 years in journalism that included being on Air Force One on 9/11, the Hill during impeachment, being in the Soviet Union for the collapse as a Russian speaker. As great as everything I did in Washington was, nothing met the bar of exhilaration that I felt in Moscow, until this job”

      • May 17, 2013 at 8:15 pm

Jay is a very well educated, intelligent man who has principles. It’s no wonder he is willing to serve under this President. I’m really grateful for him!!

Me three, prettyfoot58. I love the respect that Jay represents the Presidet with daily. His inspiration is so real. I pray for Jay daily. His job is a difficult one, especially when he gets those questions that are full of crap. His patience is a ‘crown of goodness’ to his character.

Thanks, Mr. President for choosing who you want to represent you and the office of the Presidency. Mr. Carney is great and he also has your back. We love Jay, and we hope that he will continue to do a great job.HZ

Yes indeed, Jeff!! The three “Huge! Scandals!” that turned out to be fake scandals. All they have left, after hyping the non-scandals, is “umbrellagate.” And these idiots Republicans in Congress probably have no shame about impeaching the President over “umbrellagate.” Thanks Chips for sharing Jeff’s tweet. After all, they had no qualms impeaching President Clinton over the stained blue dress.

If the lazy media stenographers ever bothered to look at WHITEHOUSE.GOV they might learn a few things. My question to Tweety is do you have access to a computer? President Obama’s schedule is right there explaining what he will be doing each day. Have you ever watched WEST WING WEEK? HAVE YOU EVER WATCHED THE SATURDAY ADDRESS?. Every time President Obama gets near a microphone he is talking about the need to help the middle class and create jobs. He always says that. As the article states, today was the SECOND stop on his Middle Class Jobs and Opportunity Tour. Sheesh ……

Why doesn’t the congress ever talk about jobs is what they should be saying.

Tweety like 99% of the media don’t like that they are irrelevant to the President doing his job.

A poem for Tally on her birthday.

    You’re not getting older
    You’re not turning blue
    You’ve become much bolder
    And to yourself remain true

    The years may pass
    But the wisdom gains
    And the leaves of grass
    Swirl in life-giving rains

    Celebrate your life
And live it to the full
    Banish any strife
    For living allows no lull

Palin started the umbrella sh-t to get some media attention – the one thing that fool knows how to do is to make herself the center of media stupid. I cry that the media aids and abets. I laugh that the media gets hooked on the stupid.

But the GOP attempting (succeeding) in starving people to death by taking billions from the food program – is heartbreaking – and the media doesn’t mention it.

    • May 17, 2013 at 8:49 pm

With umbrella-gate, the nut jobs have gone from faux scandals to no sense.

      • 119 99ts
        May 17, 2013 at 8:58 pm

Palin does it every time – she kills anything “smart” the GOP might be doing with the stupid – and thinks she is a winner.

I used to wish she would disappear – but it seems she can stop the few sane left in the GOP from being noticed so I can only say

        Please proceed ex half-term governor

        • May 17, 2013 at 9:21 pm

Because of their arrogance, we can count on her and all the other RWNJs to continue with the insanity. And the rest of the GOP will go along to get along.

“Palin started the umbrella sh-t to get some media attention….”

99ts, I am not surprised! John McCain should be held accountable for elevating Palin to the national stage.

        May 18, 2013 at 6:10 am

If it weren’t for the harm she has done – especially in relation to gun violence – I would applaud John McCain – Palin loses many more votes for the GOP than she ever gains. Her stupid, however, is very dangerous & John McCain thus has much to answer for.
