OK, TODsters, you’ve noticed that PBO is starting to do some fundraisers. He’s SERIOUS about 2014. I just got an email that he’ll be in SF Bay Area on Thursday, June 6, to raise money for the DSCC so we can hold the Senate. There are two events at private homes. Tickets are $2.5k and up, which means he’ll raise a bundle. Both Senator Charles Schumer and Senator Michael Bennet will be accompanying him.

House Republicans: We wonโ€™t repeat Lewinsky-era missteps

This week was a trial balloon by the MSM/GOP to create an atmosphere of scandal, and that balloon went up in flames like the Hindenburg. They went all in with a coordinated attack, and failed miserably. This misuse of the word “scandal” will have the effect of having the American people ignore the MSM (a la the boy who cried wolf). One good to come out of this week of fake scandals and fake outrage is that more and more people see how corrupt our media is and how it is the communications arm of the GOP, including most of the so called “liberal” media personalities the MSM put out for our consumption. This week the entertainers on MSNBC and “liberal” radio showed their true colors, may we never forget.

Don’t forget NPR. They’ve been repeating the same partial summaries about these so-called “scandals”, leaving the impression that there’s something there. It’s irresponsible.

          May 18, 2013 at 12:07 am

It was a coordinated attack, they will try to keep it going by just referring to “PBO’s horrible week” or the “three scandals” without going into detail or mentioning that all three fake scandals were much ado about nothing. They will do this to create an atmosphere of scandal where none exists. This latest flare up reminds me of how the MSM/GOP reacted after the first debate between PBO and Romney. Left, right and center beat that horse good, trying to sink PBO’s campaign. Constant propaganda about how terrible and damaging PBO’s “performance” was and how all was lost. IMHO all of the corporate owned media sources are corrupt and not to be trusted. To use a sports metaphor, the GOP is the “home” team and the Dems are forever the “visitor” in the eyes of the MSM.

You’re so right. If people can’t even remember that the entire middle east was aflame over that blasted video for three days, then what hope is there that they’ll remember that these rumours of scandals were much ado about nothing. All these right wingers need is the whiff of something rotten, and they can rely on the broad electorate to merely skim the surface after a few days/weeks/months.

This plot of theirs started when Presidnet Obama declared that he was going to campaign for the 2014 elections. They saw how Democrats ran from him in 2010, and how they refused to defend the health care bill. They see how those same Democrats basically rode on President Obama’s coattails in 2012. And how many of them are now demanding that the Administration do all the work of communicating the health care law as it’s about to take effect. So, the GOP think that they can ride that same train into 2014, and eventually into 2016.

We’ll see if they’re right, or if they’re wrong.

Amen, EricFive! We must, however stay vigilant, because the media are just as determined as the GOP, to destroy President Obama. Now and then they may throw us a bone, just as CNN and CBS did with the Republican falsified Benghazi e-mails. But in the end they still have their eyes on finding away to destroy President Obama. In this high tech/internet age, when the MSM no longer have a monopoly on news, we must stay focused on countering the MSM’s propaganda aimed at supporting the Republican Party..

After reading this portrait of Jonathan Karl by FAIR, everything about the Republican orchestration of impeaching President Obama over Benghazi began to make sense. My hunch is that Hicks, along with Jon Karl, must have been part of this plot. I am also convinced that there were other MSM people involved. Talk about GOP/Media manufactured scandal! This was it. Unfortunately, they just underestimated the counter puncher. They started celebrating before the bell rang to end the match. In the remaining minutes of the bout, President Obama dusted himself up and delivered a devastating KO by releasing the actual e-mails they were certain he would never release.

The question for ABC is: Will ABC continue to allow Jon Karl to pretend that he is a journalist when all evidence show that he is Republican hack? CBS fired Dan Rather, a highly respected journalist, for minor questionable errors. But Jon Karl committed more egregious practices. Given his background he probably knew exactly what he was doing but thought he could get away with it because the DC media had embarked on a mission to destroy of President Obama.

      I think

You do not have to “think”. You’re right. AND, the “minor questionable errors” had to do with Pres. Bush’s time in the military in the early ’70s, something that had as much political impact as the current birth certificate nonsense. Dan Rather’s story might have embarrassed Pres. Bush for a minute, but the story was NOT designed to bring down his Presidency.

These current “scandals” are meant to lead to impeachment of the President, just as the witchhunts of the second Clinton term were meant to do.

The big difference is, Pres. Obama doesn’t have many (or any) exploitable flaws, as Clinton did. So, the Republicans have to make SH………..er, STUFF up.

Her harsh personality detracts from her attractiveness. And the fact that she espouses that disturbing right wing ideology, despite being exposed to common sense thinking on a daily basis, makes her attractiveness even more superficial. She’s either obtuse, or she’s got a very cold heart.

Correct, there is nothing “pretty” about the way she talks. Even her breathless, stuffed up nasal voice is annoying, BEFORE you even get the Nonsense that comes out of her mouth.

And what’s with the big A$$ glasses she wears? I’ve wondered that about Ms. SP too. (You know, the one from Alaska. I refuse to type her name this morning. It’s to early to think about her.

Indeed – he used unverified information from a dubious source to accuse the President of the United States of being involved in a scandal as part of an event that cost four Americans their lives. And his whole job , and the access he enjoys as a privilege, is supposed to be about providing reliable information to the American public. He has to be held accountable.

Karl’s f-up was more akin to Dan Rather getting fired from CBS for supposedly using doctored evidence to prove GWB did not fulfill his National Guard commitment. Rather was scandalized and booted for not verifying his source material. Hopefully Karl will face the same fate.

Thanks JOB for highlighting these people who lost their jobs. For me, the biggest one of them all was the firing of veteran CBS anchor, Don Rather. CBS was even forced to higher a former Republican Attorney General to investigate the supposedly false report Rather and his crew relied on when they questioned George W. Bush’s military records.
