Thought I would tag on here that I heard a sound bite of Michelle Bachman saying the reason they need to repeal Obamacare is if these medical records get computerized insurance companies can then refuse people care……..
She totally skipped that ACA does not allow insurance companies to turn people down due to preconditions. I always wonder if she can be that dumb with advanced degrees or if she just knows her constituents are that dumb?

Seriously, I am a real bleeding heart liberal. I believe deeply in First Amendment rights. But as we’ve been preaching about the 2nd Amendment, rights inherently come with responsibilities.
We would have lost WW II if these poor excuses for journalists had been around in 1942. You don’t out a CIA operative and dismantle a critical undercover placement. That was destructive enough, but the implications and difficulties in getting this kind of access again has been destroyed by AP. Just to get a scoop, with no ethics or heart or compassion or patriotism. And I say this as a LIBERAL.
I’m sick of hearing that we should know everything, all the time and unless we do, our government is corrupt. There is a big difference between outing Valerie Plame for political gain and the Bush administration doing everything it could to shield those political traitors – and the Obama administration, trying to protect sensitive undercover assets that are necessary to the security of the U.S. and the world.
The real traitors here are the whiners at AP. They can’t tell the difference between something that the public needs to know and what puts the public in jeopardy. They should feel the deepest shame, and instead they whine and then crow that they’ve awakened the sleeping MSM to unleash their bile on this President.

Over the weekend, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said Pickering “refused to come before our committee,” but Issa was lying. Pickering actually asked to appear before the panel, but Republican committee members, including Issa, chose not to extend an invitation.

If there’s a logical explanation for Issa’s position, it’s a well-kept secret. The far-right California Republican loves Benghazi hearings, and invited as many reporters and cameras as the physical space will allow, but when it comes to one of the two people who oversaw an independent investigation of the incident, Issa all of a sudden wants to close the doors and keep the sunshine out.
It’s almost as if Issa knows Pickering’s facts will interfere with his partisan crusade and prefers some kind of … cover-up.

MacBook Pro Users: When I do a screen shot, how do I save it into my documents or pictures folder? The screen shot is on my desktop but I want to right click and save it into the documents/pictures folder. It’s not letting me do that. It won’t let me do it in preview or even when I right click on the screenshot as it appears on the Mac screen.
I’d try to help you, but you lost me at MacBook……screen shot…….desktop…….folder……preview, and…….click.
I don’t know what you mean by all that right-click stuff (It’s PC talk!) but the screen shot should just be a .png file that you can drag and drop anywhere you want. What kind of file do you have?

As a NOLA native and Katrina survivor, I have all kinds of words that no lady should be comfortable saying in my head, but I won’t post that here.
Suffice it to say, as I’m sure others already have, but people I hold near and dear to me DIED and way more than the 4 people in Benghazi (may they RIP), unless I missed it, non of those Tea Party groups lives and homes and family property was washed away and made to wait years (and some are still waiting BTW) for Bush’s FEMA org to get it’s freakin’ act together. And unless Imissed it, the AP/Press didn’t have people who were supposed to be protecting the citizenry of NOLA, but instead were shooting down people like dogs, as they were leaving the grocery store in their neighborhood.

Had Martin on when CM came on and I waited before turning him off to see him question Jay Carney outside the WH. He kept implying PBO needed to be better informed about the investigations and referred to Jon Stewart’s recent complaints as proof of changes needed. Jay patiently explained why PBO should not be involved with these privately conducted investigations. Chris was having no part of it even talking to Michael Steele about Jay’s reply. I have not watched Matthews for so long that I had forgotten how mad he got me! The old saying with friends like this who needs enemies comes to mind.
I only watched interview w/Jay. Can’t stand CM.

Just had a little time of chuckle. Our local news did a segment on the TVA and had on the (relatively) new CEO. This is the 80th year anniversary of TVA. Of course, a big part of the conversation was about PO’s proposal to sell the TVA and Lamar Alexander’s comments regarding that. I just kept thinking: But, the Repubs want to privatize everything. Why would Americans think that the employees who review applications for tax exempt status ( a full time job ) also process individual citizens tax returns ? That is an entirely different area of the Agency…
Under PBO, this problem was discovered and fixed A YEAR AGO. Where, exactly, is the scandal? They can say that PBO orchestrated the whole thing but you need, like, proof and stuff. Especially since other groups were targeted as well.
