It showed up in my mailbox at 1:19 pm ET. I thought maybe the links were being put up throughout today to be read tomorrow. When I just went back to click through to the page, I found the dreaded 404 Error message

The REAL story…..that nobody will acknowledge publicly i.e. D’s, thus the G.O.P. freely making up lies, and MSM is running w/ it. B.S.

I find it amazing that the GOP plays this out in front of the world – or perhaps not – given that they want to discredit the President. Giving away details of CIA/State activity to the world sounds close to treason. It was my understanding that those who needed to know were shown the emails months ago – those who should never be told anything have decided to tell the world everything.

      • May 11, 2013 at 8:03 pm

You have correctly identified exactly what is going on…the worst part is the Media is claiming it is (acting responsibly by not divulging the CIA activity) But what is worse, is that knowing that info, they are actively running w/ the [*Cover up?* BIG TV BANNER CHYRONS] narrative. How can somebody be a “whistle-blower” when they gave under oath testimony to the ARB Pickering/Mullen report?

        May 11, 2013 at 9:58 pm

You know 99ts, I’ve run into right wingers who strongly believe that it’s o.k. to destroy the U.S. in order to save it from the Kenyan, socialist usurper.

  14. May 11, 2013 at 7:57 pm

So who else wanted to punch the tv screen when they heard Dick Cheney suggest that Clinton be investigated over Benghazi? The NERVE!!

Also Ed debut his show tonight…with Bernie Sanders going after PBO. I mean, really, I could have sworn we were all just talking about about Syria. Was that solved while I was asleep or something?

    • 67 jacquelineoboomer
      May 11, 2013 at 8:03 pm

Nothing’s been solved, it just goes on and on, doesn’t it?

I got through Ed’s intro of self-aggrandizing and then almost the first words out of Sanders’ mouth were “We’re going to beat President Obama.”

So that was the end of watching the “new show.” Keep it up, Ed – same thing you did before the 2010 election, when we lost the freakin’ House due to the fact you and others told everybody to stay home and not vote, to teach President Obama a lesson.

      Grrrr.

    • May 11, 2013 at 10:16 pm

I saw a tweet about this praising Bernie Sanders. I asked was he going after Republicans or PBO and she said Republicans. but I guess that wasn’t actually true.

  22. May 11, 2013 at 8:32 pm

Here’s a excerpt from the link in the Tweet to Spandan’s fine essay:

“There is no hostage here. The president’s policies are working, and the president is brilliantly using his policy success to tip over the Republican house of cards on economic and fiscal policy. Republicans love to push the country into crises mode for their political pleasure, but this time, President Obama has succeeded in averting this crisis by proving that he and his administration, not the Republicans, are the people who are actually cutting the debt. The Republicans already lacked leverage based on the debt ceiling, and by October, they will have nothing.

    Please proceed, Mr. Ryan.”

You don’t have to duck kathryn kivett, I love FLOTUS with or without the bangs, but the point is we can agree to disagree without anyone ducking. The bottom line here for all of us is we support our President, First Lady, first daughters, 100%.

Just finished watching FLOTUS’s speech she was just awesome. I hope those young people take her words to heart. The U’s President was actually chocking up when he was doing the introduction and accomplishments of the First Lady. That has to frost McTurtle’s (can’t find the words for that man) 🙂

The IRS, Benghazi, and now this-

The Tennessee Republican compared the HHS secretary’s requests for donations from insurance companies to the Iran-Contra scandal.
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius might have broken the law by asking insurance companies to donate to outside groups promoting President Obama’s healthcare law, Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) said Saturday.
Alexander compared the fundraising to the Iran-Contra scandal.

Trust me, Kathleen is an expert at this, and I am sure she looked at all of the angles before doing this. Republicans don’t want to do anything for the country. but they criticize and make stuff up when this administration try to help the people. They are shameless.

        May 11, 2013 at 10:01 pm

I remember my Mom being aghast when my sister turned 60 – couldn’t believe her babe was that age – and now my daughter is in her 30s – I’m feeling much the same – life seems so short – tis on such days that I try and forget the negative – have to begin by not being cross because she is always late! 🙂 🙂 Haven’t seen them for 3 weeks cause I have had the dreaded whatever – so really wanting them to arrive!

        • 140 jacquelineoboomer
          May 11, 2013 at 10:04 pm

Remember if y’all went out without your daughter when she was little, and maybe she’d be at window watching you drive away … the tables turn, don’t they? Now you’re figuratively at the window, waiting for her to arrive! Circle of life. And fun. Hang in there!

          • 141 99ts
            May 11, 2013 at 10:10 pm

I often wonder at what age the parent/child roles reverse – they always do. Your words are so true – I used to work away from home a lot & it wasn’t until recently the daughter told me how much she hated it when I left! But I was a punctual soul – I have great hopes for the grandbabe – reversing the trend 🙂

            • 142 jacquelineoboomer
              May 11, 2013 at 10:22 pm

I do find a lot of things “skip a generation.” You are punctual; your grandbabe will be, also. But I’m sure your daughter’s got a lot of your other good traits, too!

On the reversal of parent/child roles? Unless you really need help for one reason or another, that’ll take a while. A few of my friends and I are in our 60s, with children in their 40s or a little younger. Those “boys and girls” still need us! My friends and I joke about it, and say we are trying to shake them off, but I guess we wouldn’t change it … much. 🙂

              • 143 99ts
                May 11, 2013 at 10:48 pm

We are of an age jacqueline ( think I have said that before) – but I was the “oldest mom in kindergarten! having a babe at 35 when most were still having them years sooner. Today I would probably be among the younger Moms. Some friends older than me are the grandmothers I am just not fit enough to be – but living in the alternate world that she inhabits my daughter is an “it is what it is” type, so that is good – I am sure the grandbabe will be a lawyer or an accountant!! just to upset her mother.

While I keep reading of the younger generation having to support the “baby boomers” what I see all around me is quite the reverse. What happened in the 80s/90s with the changing income distribution results in the boomers supporting their children

And I have a text saying they will be here “soonish” 🙂 🙂

                • 144 jacquelineoboomer
                  May 11, 2013 at 11:05 pm

First of all, you are keeping me entertained while you wait for them, so I’m the lucky one. Loved what you wrote here. And your “just to upset her mother” made me chuckle, because I think you “felt” that! I felt it all the way over here. 🙂

Yes, we “original baby boomers” seem to be the ones doing okay, while some in the next generation still need our help, looks like, no matter how old they get. At least they seem to want to keep us close, so that part’s the best part! Happy Mother’s Day to you!

Are they there yet? Enjoy it all! 🙂

I suspect that most of us think about crazy rand paul whenever KY is mentioned.

However, the reception of FLOTUS at EKU today showed us a side we rarely see. University President led the appreciation brigade

In fact, based on the news reports from the area and the university community, the people were very excited about her and very appreciative that she came.

One news paper called FLOTUS’ visit “the Hottest Ticket in Richmond”

thank you very much EKU for the warm welcome of FLOTUS.
