The Evolution of Mom Dancing will forever be my favorite video…Every time I watch it I smile as if it’s the first time.

    Love her to pieces!!!!!!!!!!!

    • May 7, 2013 at 12:07 pm

I have to say that video blew me away. First of all, FLOTUS can DANCE. Secondly, her humor is off the charts. And I love how she just flowed into the Jimmy’s set up and didn’t miss a beat. Really a seamless comedy skit but it also has heart. She’s clearly an incredibly fun person to be around and POTUS is very lucky to have her.

Yes indeed. Can you imagine referring to anyone else as “FLOTUS” after 2017? I will have a difficult time doing that!

I am not about to forget LDS, dear drinker and sharer of green tea with me! Haven’t been all the way through R&S, may not get there today, but will be looking for LDS to wish the same: Happy Happy Birthday, and a cheesy puffs cake with cheesy puffs icing from our beloved Chipsticks…. whew, Chipsticks, 2 birthdays in one day, AND a blog to manage… how ever do you DO IT? 😉

(I do have a few complaints (aches and pains kind), but I think I will see how the day progresses before airing them here on this glorious day!) Everyone, have a really great day. BBL.

            • May 7, 2013 at 1:14 pm

Mighty Pamela, the cakes would have been ready hours ago only for a slight mishap with an overheating oven:

I’ve started again, so they will be served before midnight for our birthday girls. Ish.

OMG!!!! What a beautiful soul!! Michelle is so inspirational and such a georgous person too. I just feel better everyone I see her. Thank you UT for this post. It has made my day.

BTW, we are finally having warm weather in MT. Last week is was in the 40’s for high, this week the highs are in the 60’s and it’s not getting below 40 at night. What a change. It is beautiful everything is green, the trees and flowers are blooming. The best thing is my 12 varieties of lilacs have big buds. Can’t wait. Have a wonderful day everyone!!!!

I don’t have the vocabulary to describe FLOTUS in a way that will do her justice. And just an advance warning to our next First Lady, Sorry, but I won’t be able to refer to anyone else as “FLOTUS” after 2016. Michelle Obama is FLOTUS and FLOTUS is Michelle Obama. 🙂 🙂

    • 52 hopefruit2
      May 7, 2013 at 12:35 pm

I don’t think this is really Malia Obama – it’s someone else pretending to be her 🙂 PBO & FLOTUS said that the girls weren’t allowed to have FB or Twitter profiles.

    • May 7, 2013 at 12:41 pm

Woah, that’s a disgusting fake site, I’m not a Facebook user – can it be reported? Some of the comments are stomach-churning.

      • 54 MightyPamela
        May 7, 2013 at 1:10 pm

I believe it can be reported to FB, but you have to go into the site to do it…. it should and MUST be shut down… (I am not going in there, it could be massive virus breeding as well…)

        • May 7, 2013 at 1:28 pm

Yes, it’s definitely someone else running it, but it’s not a bad site. It has some lovely pictures and all positive stuff.

          • May 7, 2013 at 1:30 pm

The comments are horrible though, rchakras, there’s no moderation going on. Should be closed down.

          • May 7, 2013 at 1:34 pm

It’s a public profile, so anyone can comment. So yes, there will be whackos. But have you seen the whacko comments whenever the Barack Obama profile puts out stuff? I used to look at it initially, but don’t look at the comments sections anymore. Some people don’t realize that with the the freedom of expression, there also comes a responsibility. Probably same people who flood the gun control sites with their disgusting paranoia.

Also I wanted to say that we have 3 MT women who are being talked about running for Senator. One is Denise Juneau who is currently our Superintendent of Education. I really like her, here is her bio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denise_Juneau. She spoke at the Democratic Convention last fall. Schwietzer still hasn’t announced if he is going to run. Still don’t know how him getting elected to the board of a mining company fits in with all of this. We are all playing the waiting game. Rehberg has announced he will run again. I will work my hardest to see that he never gets elected again from MT.

My 1st grade teacher had a profound effect on my community. She taught multiple generations of families in my town. Every time she wanted to retire, someone stopped her by saying “…but you have to teach my little Johnny/Susie..” She finally retired in 1969, when we merged with a larger school district (our students were distributed to 4 different elementary schools); she did, however, substitute for another decade.

Here is the voice of the NRA- the political organization that owns the GOP and Southern Dems:

“I’m very proud to be taking the lead here at the NRA. We need to really buckle down and strap on our best arguments to defend what is our God-given rights. No more northern folk tryin’ take away what is rightfully ours. I will not stand by and let some liberal-elitists try to ruin what has made this country great, especially a liberal of, you know, a different breed.”

When asked to clarify Porter said,

“I don’t have to clarify. You know gall darn well what I mean. In fact, it’s only a matter of time before we can own colored people again. They sure as hell won’t be our leaders. It’s out-right embarrassing. The War of Northern Aggression made it all possible, and you be best to know it’s all gonna change back. I’ll be on the front lines making sure it happens. I don’t want my grandkids growing up taking orders from a colored man. It’s our God-given right to keep them as property and keep them in line.”

Ok, I just got an email from DCCC asking me to make 3 calls to help GOTV in So Carolina for Elizabeth Corbet-Busch. I’m gladly making the calls, but I can’t help but wonder why the ask is so late in the game. They’re voting as we speak. I could have been making calls during this whole election period. Maybe they didn’t think a Northerner would be taken so well.

Early details very disturbing in the Cleveland missing girls rescue story, subject to change and in need of confirmation of course. But early leaks—–girls were kept chained by neck and waist, in separate rooms, chains and bondage items found in basement, one was chained to a wall early on “like a trophy”—- all beaten and raped by captors, “multiple” miscarriages and/ or “5” pregnancies said to have resulted, babies said to not have survived, police interested in new overturned dirt in backyard. Daughter of homeowner suspect was best friend of Gina DeJesus, last to see her before she disappeared. Many more horrific, complicated details—-lots of ugly tentacles. Still unbelievable that they were in that house for 10+years with no suspicions and within a 1/2 mile-2 miles from where they disappeared.

DOVER, Del. — Delaware’s state Senate is convening for a deciding vote on a bill that would make it the 11th state in the nation to allow same-sex marriage.

The bill narrowly won passage in the House last month and was scheduled for a vote Tuesday in the Senate. Its fate in the divided 21-member chamber could be decided by a single lawmaker’s vote.

Democratic Gov. Jack Markell has promised to sign the measure if it passes the legislature.

The debate over gay marriage has drawn passionate arguments from both opponents and supporters, who packed the balcony in the Senate chamber on Tuesday hours before the legislative session was set to start.

“Added Shepard Fairey … Almost any American can trace their family roots to immigrants. Often our ancestors migrated to escape prejudices in their homeland and to find a better life. Current immigration laws do not reflect our shared values, nor do they reflect the realities of our modern world. They all too often separate parents from their children and criminalize those seeking a better way of life.”

I have never before heard a President say “I’ve got the backs of those who speak up” about sexual assault in the military. I’ve never heard it put that way, so genuinely. From the highest level, the Commander-in-Chief, it is quite clear that it will no longer be tolerated.
