With or without the spell check – the dumb from the right protesting something that is so insignificant in the reality of US international affairs would be a joke – accept that they try so hard – to care. Why do they not care about the thousands killed under the Presidency of GWB – cannot think of any reason other than the President looks different than those who cannot spell.

There’s a Politico story making the rounds that says that members of Congress are engaged in secret, sensitive negotiations to exempt themselves and their staffs from Obamacare.

Update: I just read that Cantor’s scheme to sneakily de-fund Obamacare won’t even come up for a vote because the loons in his party that now pollute the US Congress want to vote again to repeal Obamacare instead.

I really blame McCain for this. By unleashing Sarah Palin as if such an idiot could be VP, it opened the floodgates for every loon to run for Congress – and win.

I agree, LadyTnt, he was superbly on point with this… Maybe it will cause some of the flapjacks in Congress to remember that PBO was not always President, as so many of them are obsessed with him and everything he does. There is a continuum, PBO is merely turning the arc in a truer direction, like a capable navigator of time and human effort.

Looking at the whole ceremony, I can’t help but thinking that the Bush presidency is a tragedy. The man doesn’t seem evil; he simply had/has a destructive and delusional ideology; he lacked the knowledge, lacked the analytic mind necessary to fully apprehend the complexity of the world and to make good decisions.

  63. 126 donna dem 4 obama
    April 25, 2013 at 12:10 pm

    Completely changing the topic.

This is something that has bothered me since last Friday. I saw a picture of the suspect climbing out of the boat that he was hiding in just before he was taken into custody. My first reaction was how can someone who was deemed in critical condition be able to climb out of a boat?

Then I saw a press conference on Monday (I think) with the police chief and he was asked it the suspect fired on the police when they found him at the boat. His answer was “he wasn’t sure” (it was under investigation). His next statement was that when the gun fire started he yelled for them to hold their fire. Why, if the suspect was shooting at them would he give this order?

That presser left me with an uncomfortable feeling.

    Now this….

Officials: Boston Bombing Suspect Was Unarmed When Arrested
    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/officials-boston-bombing-suspect-was-unarmed-when-arrested.php?ref=fpa

I know its early in the investigation but those pictures of that boat riddled with bullets tells me we may have had an overly aggressive police force when they found out he was there.

    Time will tell……

    • 127 Nena20409

It was Not his time to go. He was darn Lucky.

No such luck for little Martin Richards and the 3 other adults.

The two bombers has ONE Gun. That was reported yesterday and bystander in his apt took pictures. I also do not believe that #2 ran down his brother for either. Eventually, hopefully the truth would come out. Once they used bombs last week……the Police are human…..one of their own was killed……therefore, under the law, had #2 been killed, there would not have been an investigation as to how he died.

    • April 25, 2013 at 12:20 pm

Yeah, there are some questions to be answered. I’m just glad he was captured alive…

    • 129 99ts
      April 25, 2013 at 12:29 pm

The police will always say “we thought he had a gun” when firing on an unarmed person – maybe it is because there are just too many guns and they assume everyone is armed – maybe they are just scared as to what they are facing – or maybe they are way too agressive in all situations. Today it seems to be the instant assumption – with the media and right wing encouragement – that every event is “terrorism” – of the 9/11 style.

Most are not – This was a man out of his depth and a young brother who no doubt believed everything his older sibling had to say. It was no different to the many other events of recent times – although using bombs instead of guns may have related to ease of getting the former to where they wanted to cause havoc – and escaping alive and uncaptured.

It is the media and the right wing politicians who so want this to be much more than it was. By their actions they invite more disgruntled youth to think this is the way to become famous. They should be treated as every other criminal.
