We DVR Jools all the time. One of my newer favorites was on recently – Alabama Shakes. The girl can really belt one out. What a voice!

Thinking healing thoughts for America, especially Boston and West, and hoping for a better week. At the Oregon Symphony concert tonight, our conductor had chosen an all-American composer program far ahead of schedule and spoke of how great this country is at coming together during tough times. I feel like we did that for Bush on 9/11 but too many people have not granted President Obama the same respect. Such a shame they can’t open their eyes and see him like we do! Thanks for all the great music LL!

We’ll definitely get through all this, together, with President Obama at the helm! “There is an endless supply of paint.”

You speak TRUTH, Judith! I am so disgusted with the media, the right wingers, and some loudmouths on the left, all of whom will not let this President have a moment of peace to govern the country. Even in a national crisis, when we all should be united and praying for the President, all they do is attack attack and denigrate! Thankfully, the majority of Americans are more caring and more supportive of the President during a crises, like the one in Boston. The sad thing is that it is the with amplified megaphones on a national stage who would not give President Obama some space to implement his policies on behalf of the American people. So they tend to be move visible than the rest of us who support and care about him.

One of the reasons that tod takes a long time to load is the videos. To disable the automatic loading of videos on firefox,

Once you disable it, the video appears like this.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

If you want to see the video, just click anywhere in the blank space (that says ‘click here to activate adobe flashplayer plugin’.

It’s much faster and you can still see the videos you want to see easily.

The effects of the Sequester are slowly kicking in. In addition to the employees whose paychecks are being reduced, more and more people will start to be hurt by the impact on services.
“FAA furloughs could result in air passengers experiencing up to 3-hour delays”

    The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Atlanta passengers could experience flight delays lasting up to three hours due to furlough days doled out to thousands of air traffic controllers, which kicked in Sunday.

Congress recently required the FAA to reduce its budget by $637 million. The agency decided to give one furlough day every other week to its 47,000 employees. That includes 15,000 air traffic controllers, which could, in effect, delay when airplanes take off and land.

Two airline trade associations and the Air Line Pilots Association said they have filed a lawsuit for the U.S. Court of Appeals to stop the furloughs.
The earliest a hearing could take place is sometime next week…

Hope that those Congress people who thought letting the Sequester happen was a good idea will be one of those most inconvenienced.
