12:0: Press Briefing by Press Secretary Jay Carney

Morning everyone. That last thread was getting very long, so I reckoned we needed a new one a bit quickish. So, toons only for now, but will follow this one with a newsie post in a while.
Morning to everyone, struck by the accounts describing the younger boy as popular, captain of the wrestling team and well liked. What on earth went wrong?
Apparently the media who interviewed the Uncle gave the address of the boys and it went over the air. Our media is as much a problem as what these boys did.
They make it so much more difficult for LE – it often seems this type of event ONLY happens in the US – or do they just publicize it more? Perhaps when enough of the media are blown up or shot up – they may stop supporting the gun lobby. It seems like with some politicians – it has to be up front and personal before they stand with the majority of Americans
Hello hopefruit, I’m a newbie here..just wanted to say hello and I’m sick and tired of all the media speculation — when they become a part of the news, they are not doing their job.
So glad we don’t have cable any more.
Welcome to TOD arkluvspbo! I know that the push for Al Qaeda link is really nothing more than an attempt on the part of the MSM to pin this on PBO as not having kept us safe.
BTW, thank you for the welcome :). I’ve been reading TOD for a long while now and it’s such a great community. The information is great, the people are great and I love the pictures and ‘toons.
My absolute favorite is the first responder running toward the explosion and the senate running away from the explosion of gun violence. Profiles in courage and cowardice. Says it all.
Mornin’, jackieg. Your “Profiles in Cowardice” needs to be on standby for members of Congress in future. Love it. And unfortunately we know we will need it.
“@BuzzFeedAndrew: RT @davabel: Just spoke to two police officers who told me that their colleague who was shot is “going to live” and is “a good, brave dude.””
I’m free! I’ve missed chatting with you all. I’ve been lurking, but thought it best to keep my opinions to myself. I’ve just found everything so disgusting, I had nothing positive to say. But my little ones are gone and I’m back, so you just have to put up with me. 🙂
Hi 99ts! Grandkids are such a hoot. My daughter took my grandson to the store and he wanted to buy something but said, “I don’t have any money…I left my Grammy at home.” Whoever said it was right…we should have had them first. 🙂
what a morning. Sounds like msm is doing it’s best to report wrong and bad news again. I’ll just check in with you guys from time to time and find out what’s really going on.
It’s far worse than we think and has been that way for a long time. We were just without resources to check what they were telling us. I remember reading about a particular piece of legislation that was being pushed by President Obama. The year was 2008…we hadn’t even had the election. What’s worse is every paper I picked up simply had a reprint of the same story.
CBS reporting that the suspect may have escaped the perimeter in a different car, a grey SUV. They have a suspicious license plate number but I didn’t write it down. It will be repeated soon. This fits with the widening of a broader area lockdown.
I don’t understand the mindset—–that goes from someone(s) seemingly normal appearing to friends and classmates—–and even someone who is (secretly) raging about Chechnyan independence on internet sites——how that becomes a decision to blow up innocent people at a marathon race in Boston. What is the connection? What is the point? How does that compute? What is the satisfaction in harming people in no way related to your passionate cause?
Wouldn’t we all like a cut and dry answer – but this seems little different to the shootings of recent times – using bombs instead of guns – allowed them to get away and sit and watch the reactions on TV and the internet – none of it makes sense – which is why the term “terrorism” is used by the media – we are not expected to understand – all we have to do is arm ourselves and attack someone a long way away to revenge our dead.
Of course you’re asking sensible questions, but I think many people from particularly war-torn countries ask the same questions. I went to a conference last week with a friend. People talked a lot about the problems in their lives…everything from divorce to homosexuality to the urge to commit suicide. My friend bolted from the chair and asked to leave. She said, “I spent my growing life dodging bombs and shrapnel and trying to stay alive and these people are complaining because some stupid man was late getting home.”
Of course, it is completely removed from the present situation, but I think it might not be such a stretch to resent happiness and freedom when you’ve been so put upon.
I keep saying it…we need to clean-up the constant negative reporting and crazy rhetoric. While such wild, insensitive rhetoric may simply be opportunists pandering, the reality is such lunatic rants pour fuel on the flames of incipient antigovernment fury, feeding the kind of anger that animates violence.
Think about it? Have you ever seen so many angry people, heard so many ugly expressions of hatred?
I know. I have been reading some tweets from the right and they are really ugly. And that hatred is stirred up by the likes of Fox, Beck, Rush and others.
“Others” includes a large number of right wing politicians who will do and use ANYTHING and any rhetoric if it causes grief to PBO. They want a country in absolute disarray – they couldn’t defeat the President at the polls so they use any means they can.
You are absolutely right, 99ts! What infuriates the most is that the so called mainstream media aides and abets these right wingers who are promoting chaos in order to undermine the President.
Yes. The riots of the 60’s. The backlash against Civil Rights and busing. Talk radio in the 80’s and 90’s. Traveling to less than friendly parts of the country. The only difference now is they have more outlets to vent.
I should also add Black-Americans of another generation can tell you some serious stories of widespread ugly hatred in the South as well as the North, East and West. As Malcolm X once said to him Mississippi was anywhere south of the Canadian border.
Looking at pictures of SWAT team I would be curious to know size of magazine. Certainly not 100 capacity. Doubt if more than 10-15. If SWAT team doesn’t need 100 capacity why do others?
Oh Japa and Chipsticks, you’re missing the point. Citizens need more bullet capacity than SWAT, so when they come to get their guns, they’ll be outmatched. Afterall, you got the black helicopters, drones and the monster under the bed to defend against. What’s wrong with you? 🙂
Good morning Ms. Chips and TOD family. I hope everyone have a most pleasant day today. Congrats Edwina, on being first this lovely Friday morning in which, President Barack Obama is still the President of The United States of America. TGIF
However, they will be quick to tell you that they would probably have passed background checks (and they would have). So by their logic, they weren’t criminals. It will be interesting to find our exactly how the guns were gotten.
Every time I hear gun nuts complain about the inadequacy of gun legislation to stop all gun violence (as though all laws stop all crime), I wonder what they’d say if the proposal was to get rid of all guns – outlaw all of them. That’s the only solution that will stop all gun violence, since the so-called “responsible gun owners” don’t want to consider anything that doesn’t meet that criteria.
I’m not happy with their vote but I’m guessing Reid let those 4 Dems go once he realized that he didn’t have the votes to get to sixty. I think if he needed them to make sixty they would have come thru. No definitely but a strong chance.
“The NRA Dem 4” made absolutely no difference in the out come of the Bill expanding background checks. 41 Republicans were enough to FILIBUSTER the Bill. 93% of the Democratic Senators – a majority-voted for the Bill. Now if we want to blame Democrats we should blame the ten or so who joined in defeating, out right, the ban on assault weapons and the limits size of the magazines.
yeah he keeps repeating that they could be affiliated w/ some international terrorist organization ultimately connected to Alqueda.. but offering no FACTS.. just his assumptions. Sick of this speculative ‘journalism’.
There have been so many things happening in recent months that have been mentally or emotionally draining. In the midst of it, we have been reminded – by our President and by the actions of our citizenry – that we are compassionate people; willing to lend a hand and sacrifice in times of crisis.
We should remember that “no man is an island.” We should understand that there are instances when we need to depend on others to survive. And we should realize that when we do things to uplift others, we are uplifting ourselves.
some kind of big action going on now—-someone said to be “on the ground”—-possible surrender/apprehension—-who knows but a huge police presence in Watertown. Kerry Sanders (NBC)—-was also “on the ground”—actually reporting from a prone position on the street, kept saying he was being pushed back. Or something.
Since the media can do conjecture, so can I. We know dead brother had IED strapped to him. If this is the other suspect, same may be the case and they are being careful.
I have to leave for a while, but I want to leave you with this. I take no pride in being right about the fact that gun legislation would not pass. Now take a ringside seat and watch as they slowly unwind immigration reform…and the budget…forget about it. (I hope I’m wrong).
We must do all we can to give our President the majority he needs to move this country forward…and we need to start NOW! Register people to vote and help people acquire the necessary identification because the Republicans will not stop trying to stop us. And make certain a Democrat is elected in 2016…even if that means Hillary (for those who don’t like her). Forward!!
FayPax, the need to start now for 2014 is compelling. I agree that next to nothing will be accomplished by this Congress. It is a useless waste of space. We have to be relentless about getting ready for a humongous push in 2014. Lots of registrations, good candidates, getting out the word, building teams. 2014 is as big a battle as 2012 and it needs just as many resources and just as much attention. And yes, we must elect a Democrat to the WH in 2016. We can’t relent our push for one minute.
On a more pleasant and heart warming note. Runners, spectators, and our stadium will be cloaked in blue and yellow on Sunday for the annual Vancouver Sun Run Marathon (estimates of 45,000 participants). Will post a picture as soon as I can, on Sunday. I’m proud of my fellow citizens, especially as my son’s girlfriend lives in Mass. 20 minutes from Boston. I feel like it’s personal.
Keep your fingers crossed it will be a rain-free day!!! Mind you, most Vancouverites have webbed feet….lololol
Somewhat O/T but would like an answer. My R husband said (w/’great’ authority) that the background check bill would have required two next door neighbors wanting to do a gun sale to have to submit to federal background check. I would appreciate definite answer. We are traveling home from a family funeral.
I wonder about people who are concerned about having to register a lethal weapon sold or traded between neighbors, but seem to be just fine with having to register a car sold between neighbors or family members? At least the car has an alternate purpose, and is not primarily used to kill or maim humans and other animals. A gun has no other use or purpose. None. If the owner owns it, and they’re responsible, then why would they object to registering the gun or conducting a background check?
I would ask your husband this question: How many times have we seen people shocked and surprised when their nice next door neighbors turn out to be criminals or people with mental problems? By the way, the very weak bill that was FILIBUSTERED by the majority of Republican Senators and a very, very tiny group of Democrats, exempted background checks for sales between neighbors. Any one telling your husband otherwise is lying to him big time.
Been there japa – we had a 100 year flood in 1974, another one in 2010 and the next one in 2012 – should be one later this year – I’m sure there is a mathematical series of numbers that goes 100, 36,2,1
You are spot on sherijr, the fact that this man had to come out of his house to denounce his brother’s children, and being almost pushed to say how much he loves America.
On this day, 18 years ago, we were united, not as Tulsans or Lawtonites, not urban or rural, but as Oklahomans. The tragic events this week in Boston, and also Texas, brought back many painful memories. We will never forget our own loss, but we know the power of united communities, people coming together to take care of each other.
We know the broken hearts so many have this week, and we know the strength they’ll need to heal. As we remember that day so many years ago, also remember that it is our love for each other that got Oklahoma through. That compassion guides us today. Though The Heartland was once wounded, we beat stronger still.
May that grace and peace guide Oklahoma, Boston, Texas, and all Americans today and each day forward.
Yes, today is the 18th anniversary of our OKC bombing. We know well what has been going on in Boston this week. These scars linger, but strange as it may seem, this event brought the city together as a living organism in a way that nothing else did. We discovered we were a village. Everybody knew someone who was involved…or someone who knew someone. The mother of one of my students died in the blast. One of my husband’s friends was standing at his desk and watched the floor right in front of him fall down, and he stayed standing. We drew together and have stayed so.
Large as it is, Boston is really a village in many ways too. It is compact and people go from one part to another easily. They will come together too…..the marathon will, I’m sure be celebrated next year more than ever.
It is interesting that people tend to go “home”…..I would think they would escape somewhere new and unknown, but people just want to go home.
They have some doozies on twitter and YouTube. You can’t open either programs without seeing them.
Ll, how do get your thoughts together to write? Outline? Want to turn into a letter to congress and editorial. Then post here. Post here first for suggested changes. It’s about my husband and his experiences with buying guns, etc. he is adamantly pro Obama and safety, background checks, etc. no assault weapons. Thanks for any help you can give when you have time.
Perhaps this story http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/19/us/tangled-birth-and-death-of-a-gun-control-bill.html?hp&_r=0
“Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona was in an empty hallway in the Capitol on Tuesday when he bumped into Gabrielle Giffords, the former Democratic member of Congress from his home state who was critically wounded in a mass shooting. Both froze in anticipation of the painful minute about to unfold. “
NBC is really pushing international connections, absolutely no proof of these young men having travelled overseas to be ‘trained’.. and yet they keep saying that its ‘possible’. WHY?? There is no point to these discussions other than to inflame stupid people.
When you think that this kid could walk into a gun show right now and buy a gun, it’s really chilling. The city’s on lockdown, and yet he could go and legally buy a gun.
Oh great, a drunk uncle. I stayed up until 4am. 6 EDT, my feed died to the Boston link, some kind person posted to their link. Now it sounds International. Lets bring in Daniel Greene (James Bond) He wouldn’t drive us crazy with the speculation. Awoke at 8:30 MST time. What are the best places to listen to live stream? Just because I’ve only scanned the posts here of your tweets, and Chips funny toons AND the wonderful men on top I think the news is going to drive me crazy.
I would also like to say I have a good friend who is Russian and share some of her FB friends. She is very intelligent, knows several languages, lived in S. Korea and and speaks the language. She gave us our Golden Bear. She moved from here to New York State. She is Republican. I look past that or I wouldn’t have any friends or relatives. She has gone too far in some of her FB pics of PBO, but I delete. She’s in a time-out box with a few others. She probably does the same to mine. She’s much younger than me, so I’m surprised by her politics. But I think her hubby has is oil executive.
On the other hand, the man was so emotional and seemed so angry his testimony may counter , at least a little, all the hate and fear that we’re sure the right wing will peddle in the next few days and weeks.
Walter Cronkite had just retired from CBS evening news broadcasting when I stopped watching TV. Did rely on CNN prior for updates on events like the 1st Iraq War, Bosnia, etc., but stopped before 9/11. Haven’t watched a TV or cable news show since.
Exactly. I stand with Chechens who had nothing to do with these incidents. However, the media and others will be quick to group any tribe of humans as one evil entity, at any time, because they cannot discern the facts and want to wash their hands of anything unpleasant. The only weapon their infantile brains have is the pointed finger.
I’ve gone back to lurking mainly post election but am gobsmacked by the media’s gross ineptitudes. I know a night of laughter seems inappropriate at a time like this but I am comforted by the fact that should he wish too PBO can absolutely go to town on the lazy media at the upcoming WHCD.

Morning Edwina, Donna, everyone!
Morning to everyone, struck by the accounts describing the younger boy as popular, captain of the wrestling team and well liked. What on earth went wrong?
Morning Chips and Everyone. What a world we live in!
Morning Donna! It gets crazier by the day.
Gm TOD
Hiya folks. 🙂 I love these cartoons Chips!
Moooooooooorning Hopefruit! Aren’t they great?! The Wolf Blitzer one cracked me up!!!
Yes indeed. But on a more serious note, that top photo of the guy meeting his President is just so touching!
A gorgeous image Hopefruit, I was going to save it for the newsie post, but I thought it was a perfect one to start the day with.
Indeed. And I wouldn’t mind having it re-posted it on the next thread! Thanks Chips 🙂
oh Chips, that Blitzer one had me spewing my “blood pressure” tea all over my keyboard.
Me too Barb, funniest toon ever!!!!
Morning Chiparoo. Your cartoon tweet of CNN was spot on. According to my twitter timeline, they are a mess this morning.
Now they’re blaming pot.
If he had smoked pot my guess is he would have gone someplace and chilled with a remote and a bag of Doritos.
Don’t tell CNN … they might learn something.
Mornin’!
Apparently the media who interviewed the Uncle gave the address of the boys and it went over the air. Our media is as much a problem as what these boys did.

Good morning TOD. Must say, spot on.
GM chips. Excellent toons.
I feel exactly like PBO.
Good West Coast morning Chipsticks. I hope this turns into a Friday Good day in Boston & everywhere.
MSNBC is desperate to link this to Al Qaeda – they are wildly speculating now.
I am watching it now and I was like not again. Stop with the speculations already let law enforcements and the FBI do their job media outlets
Hello hopefruit, I’m a newbie here..just wanted to say hello and I’m sick and tired of all the media speculation — when they become a part of the news, they are not doing their job.
So glad we don’t have cable any more.
Welcome ark, glad you finally made it home here at TOD’ville. 🙂 🙂
RanMan, I do feel very much at home here. Thank you for such a lovely welcome :).
Welcome! New voices on TOD in support of President Obama! Friday’s (still) good.
Thank you very much, jacquelineoboomer :).
y’all are too nice!
🙂
Welcome to TOD arkluvspbo! I know that the push for Al Qaeda link is really nothing more than an attempt on the part of the MSM to pin this on PBO as not having kept us safe.
Sadly, it’s the media that hasn’t kept us safe. With all their wild speculations and incorrect information. There’s too much going on! *smh*
BTW, thank you for the welcome :). I’ve been reading TOD for a long while now and it’s such a great community. The information is great, the people are great and I love the pictures and ‘toons.
Welcome, arkluvspbo! You picked a good spot, that’s for sure! 🙂
I agree! :), thank you
Welcome aboard. This is a great place for the real Daily Rundown. 😀 haven’t been here long myself.
Love it, CarolMaeWY, I’m hooked 🙂
😀
Good Morning Chips and everyone. Really love the tones and yes Boston will run again.
Really love the “toons”
Morning Mellesia!
NPR reporter has personal connection with the younger suspect:
“@hereandnowrobin: remember djohar well, beautiful boy in tux at prom party and elsewhere.”
Morning TODer’s.
Thanks for the Toons Chips. Toons can tell the story just as well or better than any of the mainstream sources.
Morning swbluega! So true, so many of these brilliant toonists can capture a story in a single image, while the MSM just babble on and on.
My absolute favorite is the first responder running toward the explosion and the senate running away from the explosion of gun violence. Profiles in courage and cowardice. Says it all.
Love that too Jackie, no words needed, the image sums it all up.
🙂
Mornin’, jackieg. Your “Profiles in Cowardice” needs to be on standby for members of Congress in future. Love it. And unfortunately we know we will need it.
That one is my favorite too. There are no words.
That’s a good but I wish it had highlighted the minority Republicans who filibustered!
holy crap.
Train has been cleared—false alarm.
Good deal.
“@BuzzFeedAndrew: RT @davabel: Just spoke to two police officers who told me that their colleague who was shot is “going to live” and is “a good, brave dude.””
Hope this is true, edwina. Would be the first good news yet if this guy lives.
They were both described as very young. So wrong. The NRA’s dreamworlds.
Good morning all
Good morning, symmetry11! 🙂
I’m free! I’ve missed chatting with you all. I’ve been lurking, but thought it best to keep my opinions to myself. I’ve just found everything so disgusting, I had nothing positive to say. But my little ones are gone and I’m back, so you just have to put up with me. 🙂
I think we will survive somehow.
Welcome back, faypax
Thanks Vicki! I think I know what someone going through withdrawal feels like.
Hello Fay – I had my little grandbabe with me today & it is a joy to have her – other things become not so important
As for your opinions – they are always worth reading
Hi 99ts! Grandkids are such a hoot. My daughter took my grandson to the store and he wanted to buy something but said, “I don’t have any money…I left my Grammy at home.” Whoever said it was right…we should have had them first. 🙂
It is good to know that grandson well understands who can be hoodwinked at the store! He should go far in the world of diplomacy 🙂
GM Chips, TOD…Woderful toons! One thing people might have missed a week ago…..might be of real relevance now.
Morning LP!!
Hey Chips! On my way to school…..you put a smile on my face, in the middle of this madness. THX TTYL
Hope all’s good LP, update us when you can on your Dad – have a great day!

“President Barack Obama is still the President of The United States of America. TGIF”
Best news I’ve seen all day!
Well it seem the NRA and Republicans and 4 Dems should be happy, these two Boston bombers had there guns and weapons.
Thanks to the NRA, and those puppet money hungry cowards in D.C., we know that terrorists can get any kind of gun they want.
However, they will be quick to tell you that they would probably have passed background checks (and they would have). So by their logic, they weren’t criminals. It will be interesting to find our exactly how the guns were gotten.

Good Morning Ms. Chips and TODers
Geez.
I also wonder if Romney will think he was right about Russia being our enemy. Get ready for the idiots and their “I told you so”.
Would they have felt better if he was into Lawrence Welk?
Listening to Richard Engle on NBC.. and frankly I think he’s just making shit up at this point.
I have had issues with Engle’s reporting for a while now.

Actually, this one that failed would not have required that. Sales within family or between friends were excluded from background checks.
Which is the main reason a lot of people viewed it as a weak bill.
Even if that were true, just wondering why people consider it so onerous to have a background check in order to sell (or buy) a lethal weapon.
Thanks, y’all. Know I can always come here for info.
That’s a lie. It was not included in the Manchin-Toomey amendment/bill.
I hope he sues them right out of business!!!!!!!!
Feeding frenzy. The ugly side of social media.
Serbia and its former province of Kosovo have reached an EU-brokered accord aimed at normalising relations between the Balkan neighbours.
“And the white smoke is out! Habemus pactum!” Kosovo’s Integration Minister Vlora Citaku tweeted after the talks.
Kosovo unilaterally declared independence in 2008. While many countries recognise it as an independent country, Serbia does not.
Serbia must normalise relations with neighbours before joining the EU.
The deal was reached after months of tense negotiations between Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci in Brussels.

Thanks amk, I’m glad your here. Sounds like news is international.
MSNBC is just agitating for this “Islam” angle.
same thing at NBC online.
As Chicago slowly is being drowned by flooding rivers:
Been there japa – we had a 100 year flood in 1974, another one in 2010 and the next one in 2012 – should be one later this year – I’m sure there is a mathematical series of numbers that goes 100, 36,2,1
Or the dust here.
I saw on tv last night that three cars disappeared into sink holes because of that flooding.
The uncle is praising America. He’s helping I think.
Great news.
I feel so sorry for this Uncle, feeling/ pushed by the ‘press’ to prove/speak his love for America. Just too sad all of this.
You are spot on sherijr, the fact that this man had to come out of his house to denounce his brother’s children, and being almost pushed to say how much he loves America.
Reminds me of then Candidate Obama having to denounce Rev. Wright basically for having sat in the pews and hearing a sermon.
CNN is killing me. 😆
The uncle tells the media that all these references to “Islam” are FAKE and FRAUDULENT.
Do you trust any news source online ut? Besides TOD!
Yes, it’s what and OFA member from OklahomaCity member posted on FB. I don’t want your pain and aftermath forgotten.
Who is Alex Jones, sewer man? Don’t what him on my google search? VC, next time you get first, you are getting that toon! 😉
Alex Jones is a conspiracy theorist that has two websites.
InfoWars
&
Prison Planet
I think he also has a talk radio show out of Austin Tx
Thanks. Don’t deserve a visit I’m assuming. Another Dimbart?
Oh, he’s a conspiracy loon. He’s a 9/11 Truther, an Obama Birther, and every other crackpot conspiracy theory out there.
I used to write outlines in college. Haven’t done so in years. Basically, I just start writing, finish, revise, and revise again.
Thanks.
what was that about ? did flake pull a stunt again?
This tweet is referring to Flake’s “no” vote on the background checks
He’s getting creamed in AZ press and just about everywhere else for his vote. They are friends but Mark Kelly is calling him on the carpet BIG TIME.
Mark Kelly
@JeffFlake heard u say on FOX “I think all of us want to keep guns out of the hand of criminals & those with mental illness. We can do it.”
Perhaps this story
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/19/us/tangled-birth-and-death-of-a-gun-control-bill.html?hp&_r=0
“But, for the moment, it looks like a couple of young people who went completely off the twig and decided to kill a lot of people”
Pierce with the facts as we currently know them
http://www.esquire.com/blogs/politics/Moving_On_Through_The_Day
NBC is really pushing international connections, absolutely no proof of these young men having travelled overseas to be ‘trained’.. and yet they keep saying that its ‘possible’. WHY?? There is no point to these discussions other than to inflame stupid people.
This whole ‘manhunt’ thing has reached farcical levels from all parties concerned. I am out.
Gunnite amk. Sleep tite. Don’t let John King bite.
Well this gobsmacked me:
Gosh, this whole mess could kill immigration reform and revive gun-safety laws. Bizarre.
When you think that this kid could walk into a gun show right now and buy a gun, it’s really chilling. The city’s on lockdown, and yet he could go and legally buy a gun.
FLOTUS is the best!
Awwww…so moving. And it looks like the little girl is holding a cuddly toy “Bo” 🙂
I agree ut, she is the best.
Oh, a toy Bo? I would like me one 😉
This got good play on local news last night. Mrs. O could help anyone’s healing process. And that toy BO? Adorable!!
Except, I heard that Richard Engel declared that the outrage was “fake outrage”. These media are ridiculous and irresponsible.
Want to get the Republicans to do something about guns, lets get blacks and latinos to start buying guns like white folks do.
and those “islamist people”.
I’ll have a new post soon ……………….. ish.
Between here and Twitter, the MSM is quite dispensable.
Walter Cronkite had just retired from CBS evening news broadcasting when I stopped watching TV. Did rely on CNN prior for updates on events like the 1st Iraq War, Bosnia, etc., but stopped before 9/11. Haven’t watched a TV or cable news show since.
And yet you’ve survived. Nicely.
My hero. I stayed with them somewhat til 2009, but now I could not even tell you the number on my cable where CNN is located.
Last post
These gun lovers are so dam stupid. Some of them are.
Exactly. I stand with Chechens who had nothing to do with these incidents. However, the media and others will be quick to group any tribe of humans as one evil entity, at any time, because they cannot discern the facts and want to wash their hands of anything unpleasant. The only weapon their infantile brains have is the pointed finger.
Great tweet, Chipsticks!
Gov. Patrick is on MSNBC right now.
