    Hey, ut!!

WHOA, I’ve been out all day and apparently I missed another emo Barackolypse. Wow, people are idiots.

PBO and Michelle have known Kamala Harris for a very long time. They are good friends. Honestly, people have lost their damn minds.

Happy to be back on nights and a ‘chat away ‘just because is great.

  6. April 5, 2013 at 12:05 am

The reason you will have to create a new WP account is the videos that do have WP embed codes what happens is you have to log in your WP name/password. After that you chose title for video. Then click on size ( typically there are only 2 choices available for video size) Once you do that you click post. Here is the catch….. it automatically creates a new post. So if a thread is going or you have your own personal blog it jumps it and starts a new post immediately

    • April 5, 2013 at 12:18 am

http://www.politico.com/multimedia/video/2013/04/michelle-obama-planting-white-house-garden.html Click this link and select get code in top right corner. Hit pause on the video before you click get code

        April 5, 2013 at 12:23 am

Ok, so you want me to create a new WP account, then hit pause on this video, and then click “embed code” or is “copy link”

        Do I have this right?

        • April 5, 2013 at 12:25 am

Do you have a blog right now or just an author on this one?

          • 47 utaustinliberal
            April 5, 2013 at 12:28 am

            Just an author.

            • April 5, 2013 at 12:30 am

OK simple then go to my blogs and create a new blog, you dont need to create a new account then

                April 5, 2013 at 12:35 am

Ok. So then I create a new blog and then follow the previous instructions you gave?

                • April 5, 2013 at 12:38 am

Yes,I want to walk you through it while I have the time, Open a tab with the politico link I gave you, keep your TOD tab open, and 3rd tab is new blog.

                    April 5, 2013 at 12:40 am

Hey LP, I’m better when I’m given step by step instructions so that I don’t keep you here all night. πŸ˜€

So just have a new blog, go to the Politico site, click copy/embed link, the link automatically goes to the new post in the new blog, then what do I do from there?

                    • April 5, 2013 at 12:48 am

when you go to the politico link and get code. enter the name/password of your blog you just created. When you hit code hit the arrow and it will give you wordpress option, that is where you put you name/password, then just say MrsO for title, then hit post. After that go to your blog and it should automatically be there. Click edit and in edit you will see the BrightCove HTML. Copy then paste. Then go to the open edit page for this thread and paste it in a white area. Just leave spacing. That should transfer the video for you. My Chrome screenshot stopped working yesterday or this would be a lot easier. Are you going to try now? If so I will stick around.

Thanks so much LP. I don’t want to keep you up late so I’ll try it later into the night and then update you later on at a more convenient time for you. Thank for this. It looks pretty straightforward.

                    • April 5, 2013 at 1:12 am

just remember click the white get code button on the top right corner of the video, never get link. Then click arrow on get embed code, select WordPress. Enter username password. Click continue, new screen will say post title(you dont have to for this purpose) then select 480×360. then post. after that go to your blog and hit edit under the newly posted video. highlight/copy the brightcove HTML. then go back to this post’s edit page for example and right click paste. anywhere in your post as long as there is ate least one space above and below the code. You can highlight the code and hit center and it wont mess it up either. I wish my screenshots worked would be easier. My dad had a tumor removed today so I am beat. He is still in the hospital but surgery went ok. I have just been lurking all day to keep myself busy. I am dead beat now or would stay up w/ you. Hope you didnt think I didnt want to help you out this morning. I just have been pre-occupied and all. We will get this straightened out one way or the other. I will help you as much as I can. GN.

Thanks LP and no I didn’t think you were ignoring me. If you don’t mind my asking, are you male or female?

I am glad that your dad’s surgery went well and I wish him all the best and a speedy and healthy recovery. I’m going to be keeping him, you, and the rest of your family in my thoughts and sending good things your way. Take heart buddy, and may good news come you and your family’s way.

Thanks so much for your continued offer of help. See you on Friday! πŸ˜€

            • April 5, 2013 at 12:32 am

the other reason for having to create a separate account is if you currently have a blog like I do it is set up to automatically tweet any new post and you dont want that when you are figuring stuff out or just getting videos for code purposes

Herbie Hancock & Sting ~ Sister Moon

Loved this version by Sting and Herbie Hancock and this version of Sister Moon also introduced me to Lionel Louecke who is a superb guitarist . In fact, this whole CD was da bomb. And the companion DVD they filmed showing him working and recording with all the artists that were on this record with him was fascinating!

Made an entrance late last night, but wanted to say thanks for the site and pics. However, wanted to set the record straight about PBO and his cabinet giving a peace of their salary and donating it to charity or people of choice.

It is kind of discouraging to read things (and tweets) about Kerry, Hagel, and Holder’s salary and where it should be donated to. While Hagel and Holder have been moderately criticized, there has been a lot criticism from the right, left, and center directed at Kerry for not donating his whole salary to charity or to employees hit hard by the sequester because he is better off than all of us.

First of all, while that would be nice, there are probably some rules that don’t allow cabinet members to donate as much as we would want them to.

If anyone does not think that the SOS and his wife smile at the less fortunate, then serious research needs to be done. As Senator most supporters have said that Kerry was one of the tireless ones for the relatively poorly-paid and powerless people, and the small business folks (aka the little people). Teresa (unlike Ann Romney) also has done some nice philanthrophy work. The project with Newark mayor Cory Booker was one out of many.

    http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389×6605712

I am a proud supporter of PBO and FLOMO, and this may be taken as being an apologist (lol!) for a Democrat, but it always seems like people have their axe to grind with the SOS. IDK if it’s what happened in the SOS nomination process or what, but Kerry and his wife (who the First Lady “hearts” πŸ™‚ ) have been unwavering supporters of PBO and his agenda.

This and the rest are nothing but GOP, media distractions.

Kinda wet from 3rd, 2nd & 1st on the opposite side of the building from my space. But my lityle Megan sure didn’t like all the noise. Wished I could go back to sleep. πŸ˜’πŸŒŒπŸš”πŸš‘πŸš’ the lady that the fire started is being taken to Mayo now.

Moving on from “good looking”—–a new dumb distraction to obsess about today! Local news said to stay tuned to hear the “odd thing the First Lady said yesterday”. Oh geez, now what. As it turns out, the Big Odd Thing was that Michelle misspoke as she was speaking at her gardening gig and said, “As a busy single mom…….” and then caught herself, saying something about being married to the president it sometimes feels like I’m a single mom —but he’s here. The 2 news readers then gave each other some ‘aha!’ look. Wonder what tomorrow’s installment of the Obama Chronicles will bring—-scramble everybody, dig up something, no matter how insignificant!

I see now what goes on in the middle of the nights, when some of us are dutifully resting, sleeping and healing (mind you we ARE exhausted): here are magnificent photo gifts, dancing, wine, movies, laughter and, hey, is this what grown-ups do? Hmmmmm…… G’day y’all, be over to rise and shine in a minute or two.
