Thanks! Was so shocked and pleased to be first that I forgot that it is no longer morning and also to say how fab the previous post’s photos are. I feel as if I were on the trip as well. And I melt every time I see photos of POB with the kids.

It is still morning for me. 😀 TOD is a big World. I’m still catching up on everything. I find my self at Wiki trying to know about everywhere the President traveled. Slow going when you do that.

Many thanks for all the pictures and posts from President Obama’s fabulous Middle East triumph. How many of these did our fellow citizens see in the MSM? It was fun to see Barack in hiking boots at Petra.

I ran across this article this morning on twitter. It’s pretty old (2011) but I thought it was an interesting look at how the school system in Finland works.

Great article a4alice. I wonder what kind of cataclysmic event it would take in the US for our school systems to emphasis equality, rather than competitiveness, and for us to eliminate private schools. Our local newspaper had a front page article today on how all the new charter schools in the area were costing more than our public schools and delivering subpar results. Something has to be done before we become the dumbest citizenry on the planet, if we aren’t there yet.

Jackie I think that’s a really interesting point and I thought the same thing. The paradigm is so different from ours in fact competition is eschewed and equality is what is favored. Just think free education for all. Truly placing value on the quality of the education by giving both teachers and students what they need to thrive. There’s probably some down side to it but it certainly is thought provoking.

And last night was apparently date night for Joe & Dr. Jill:

Have never seen “Once” but from previews/reviews, looks incredibly romantic and heartwarming. If that’s so, a great treat for both of them.

Who weighs more, The Shaq or Christie?

Oh, what a question, Jovie. I would say Shaq, but if it was Christie I wouldn’t be surprised.

LOL Hmmm..that’s a tough one. Christie is fatter, but Shaq has more muscle which weighs more than fat. So unfortunately, I don’t know the answer to your question! 😦

Their were 2 People who were fired in the Press fir questioning the legitimacy of the Iraq war? (donahue and Rathers).
It put a gag order on the rest of the press, they knew they had no WMDs and said nothing.
    They were scared! 😦
Now, they get to voice everything they wanted to say but could not, like on the issue of Drones.
And maybe even Gay marriage? Gay marriage was not brought up at all during Bush administration. Now, it’s brought up every segment.
Not saying it’s right or wrong, but the press seems to have a lot more freedom under this President than the last one.

Lots more shootings all about—see Pa. father shoots and kills 2 yr. old son, Wa. father shoots and kills 2 adult chlldren while they were sleeping, 30 yr. old Chicagoan shot in the head because someone was mad he was double parked, another young person in Chgo shot and killed when a planned Xbox sale mtg. did not go smoothly. Everyone’s got a gun, and sometimes they get mad at something/someone and so they impulsively blast away. Sick gun culture.

State police Cpl. Daniel Sneath said investigators are trying to determine what led to the shooting and why Ayers was carrying a gun despite the protection order.

Abusers should not be allowed to own guns
