A Brief This and That

From Henry Healy to TOD:

I got to meet with the President yesterday and I wanted to share with you this drawing that I presented him with. It’s a pencil drawing of the president in front of his ancestral home and the White House. It was by Brian Fogarty a school teacher from Co Tipperary now living in Galway.

Kind Regards,

Henry Healy

Thank you Henry – love that drawing, it’s beautiful.

(I asked Henry if his head hurt today, he said “it’s coming ’round” – so, good news!)

I hope the press, even if its not MSM, will keep putting this out. We can twitter and Facebook it around.

It was the dinner in “Obama’s honor” that probably irritated Cantor, the petty little creep. It’s such a joke to say he’s busy with congressional duties when Congress does nothing but say no and undermine the economy. No one would notice if Cantor disappeared for a year.

I was wondering if he was going then figured he couldn’t let his RWNJers see him in such a position. He’s as bad as DarthCheney

I posted the last paragraph of an article from Haaretz just before new thread.
“In honor of the visit we scrubbed the highways and the city streets, and hung about 1,000 Israeli, U.S. and Jerusalem Municipality flags,” said Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat. “We will illuminate the walls of the Old City with decorative lighting during the entire visit, at night too – so that the president will be able to see the walls and the beauty of Jerusalem from his hotel window, and the many media teams will be able to broadcast from here on the backdrop of the illuminated walls, which will be exposed to the entire world.”

Had to share this. An earlier tweet of mine was passed on by someone else and a RNWJ responded to that tweet. Reading the response says all you need to know about the mentality of some of the pro-gun crowd.

      Good day LP & Chips!!

Thank you, LP, for the Rise & Shine thread and for featuring the ongoing investigative reporting of Bob Parry. The crimes of Nixon, Reagan and GWB are astonishing in their extent of needless human suffering and death and damage to every aspect of our values and our economic stability.

And to think that americans re-elected all of these traitors to a second term.

      • March 20, 2013 at 12:53 pm

Yes, I so agree. That is why we should look closer into what got us into Iraq and the idiot decision to use Afghan rebels in Torah Bora. It’s my understanding that a Seal had him in his sights, but not given permission to shoot. That decision SHOULD have been made when they went in. I was a little young to understand LBJ, but by the time Nixon ran for office in ’68 I understood what he was doing. And of course Reagan on. We have to let the Sunshine in.

To be honest I have mixed feelings about this visit. I trust POTUS will connect with the hearts and minds of the sane ones there but…

On the one hand there’s POTUS and those Israelis who want peace and are prepared to work toward it and on the other is Bad Boy Bibi who is using this visit as a prop in a ‘dare’ to their neighbors.

Bibi’s with the one that keeps building the settlements, even after Palestinians agreed to most of their demands, including the new settlement when VPOTUS visited, who went to OUR Halls of Congress and talked smack about our president when he was out of the country, who interjected himself into American politics, who began a massive bombing raid into Palestine right after the 2008 elections that ran for days (immediately following a visit from Can’tor).

I don’t like Bibi one little bit and don’t trust him one iota.

Now, do you want to know what I really think of him? 😆

BLEEP CANTOR! Sat here blubbering that “Hallelujah” chorus had me blubbering. I had lunch with some American friends yesterday and wanted to tell you what they said “we are fortunate to have a man like Mr Obama as President” no dissenters and absolute pride in the man.

That’s what happens to red blooded Amirkuns when they get around soshulist thinkers. LOL

(hope you know that was just my impression of our RWNJs if they heard your friends saying that) 😆

      Seriously: Nice!

Those kids singing had me crying too! Thank you for your words about the president……We should have absolute pride in this man! He has had to rescue America from eight years of GWB’s degradation! And he has done it, quiety, graciously and thoroughly.

Why did the MSM pretty much ignore the President’s other overseas trips but this one to Israel not so much? There have been live snippets of his trip since this morning’s news.

Exxx….actly. The mainstream media is pretty much aligned with conservative interests and for conservatives, the only foreign country that matters is Israël. They’re much too ignorant of the world to grasp the long-term implications of America’s foreign policy, so they don’t see the importance of the president’s visits to Europe, to China and to other asian countries.

Cause war – none of the other visits were to countries that want the US to go to war. Something changed when the cold with the USSR – boots on ground wars started
