Chat Away – back Monday

I’ve made last night’s post private because I don’t want that scumbag getting any more attention from me, which is what he craves. So, **** him, he’s a worthless fool.

Have a great weekend everyone, see you Monday.

PS Huge thanks for all the support, I’ll get around to replying to everyone over the next few days.

Chips, I was just reading it when all of a sudden it disappeared! Love to you! Enjoy your break! I have not been commenting recently and have been taking a break from twitter too. I still check in here everyday. My love and appreciation to you! We are having a snow day here in CT…kids home from school and hubby home from work. By the way….love that OFA poster. That is completely gorgeous!

Now it is clear why I was Not able to reply to the last post.

The Pri*k look crazy. Unwanted pictures when sent, why can’t WordPress do something and can the Law enforcement in your area, Chips and those in US do anything? This is cyber stalking and WP should do something.

Humans copy who they admire. In this case, this type of admiration is lunacy. Totally a mad maniac.

You have done so well by ignoring him.

With Lots of Love to you, Chips. Be well. Soldier on.

There must be some law against this. He sent a naked picture with nasty words. This goes beyond cyber stalking. I hope he stops soon but of course he has no life. Thanks Chips for all you do, we appreciate you.

Smart move, trolls do love attention, negative or otherwise. However, it’s good to let us know what you are dealing with because our collective intention can find a solution or at least neutralize the negative impact of the bullying with an outpouring of love for you.

Chips, I echo the sentiment of many here who appreciate you, love you, bless you and thank God for you and your devotion to our President , VP, and this site – thank you is not nearly adequate enough to express my gratitude to you.

I love TOD. I love Chipsticks. I love the good people who comment here, and those who follow along in quiet support and kindness. I love POTUS, FLOTUS, VPOTUS, and all their dear ones. I envision Chipsticks having a lovely, easy, peaceful, sweet weekend, doing whatever would most likely feed her spirit and make her smile. Thank you thank you thank you. What a wonderful poster — had not seen it and it is now the wallpaper for my weekend. May all the good you do flow back in your direction 100-fold.

I must say that my attitude about filibuster reform has definitely evolved….

I am now convinced more than ever that the rules have to change to a simple majority. We are dealing with the worse of the worse with these Republican Senators. They don’t give two hoots about Senate Tradition. It is all about power for them. No minority party should have the power to abuse the system the way they have since PBO took office. Anyone who doesn’t understand that the minute (god-forbid) they get the majority in the Senate that they will not change the rules to favor the majority party is fooling themselves.

There might be something about this behind the scenes that I don’t understand but from what I can see it all seems senseless. Even if we were to take back the House, bills would go to the Senate and just die because of their ability to filibuster.

Our lazy, sloppy, good-for-nothing media treats this as if it is just common place and there is no reprisal for the Repubs actions. I just don’t get it. The Dems barely even mention it as reason for the gridlock, as if it were some sacred cow or something.

REPUBLICANS FILIBUSTERD 40% MORE THAN DEMS SINCE 1992
Congressional Filibuster Record by Party 1992 - 2011

Even the things that do finally make it to the President’s desk have to be drawn out and dramatized to the nth degree in order to get passed. i.e. VAWA….

I honestly think that there has to be more of a concerted effort on our part (or OFA) to pressure these Republicans in purple and blue states (OH, IL, ME, PA, RI). The fact that they vote almost 100% with their party and feel very little pressure from their constituents is beyond me….

    This is all very frustrating….

    • 45 Lovepolitics2008
      March 8, 2013 at 12:40 pm

What concerns me even more than the filibustering of different legislative measures is the filibustering of President Obama’s judicial nominees at every level. The courts need balance, and the republicans are doing everything in their power to block every judicial nominee who’s not a staunch conservative. They make difficulties even for pretty centrist nominees. This can’t go on much longer.

I’m sure President Obama is well aware of the problem. Sometimes I wonder why he hasn’t made more public comments on this. Probably because he knows that the more he talks about it, the more entrenched republican obstructionists become. Tricky situation.

        March 8, 2013 at 1:30 pm

Yes, Republicans think of judges nominated by Democratic Presidents as “activists.” Democrats have their own name for the reverse phenomenon, when Republicans nominate judges: “Scalia.” (Barf.)

I have just enough time to express my disappointment at the reaction to Ron Paul. It seems to me people should be asking why a member of the body that writes our laws doesn’t know the answer to the questions he’s asking. More importantly, if there is a law that gives the government that kind of authority, why doesn’t he write a repeal?

Finally, anyone who believes the government would dishonor their rights enough to shoot them down in a Starbucks, and believes that same government would cop to the truth because some silly little man stages a marathon rant, is plain delusional. Your government would murder you, but it wouldn’t lie to you. Stupid!!

So apparently all it took for Senators McCain and Graham to start working with President Obama was for the President to take them out for ice cream.

    • March 8, 2013 at 11:36 am

Yes that’s part of it, Don. I think it took the sequester. If you’ll listen to Ms. Lindsey, she said the President called “a couple of weeks ago” and asked if he could get a group together. It wouldn’t take weeks to organize a group unless they were still acting ignorant about associating with the President. Everybody probably said no. But then the sequester came. McCain and Lindsey were having a stroke because of the defense cuts and suddenly, he had a group for dinner. You know those neo-cons will sell their Mama for a war.

    • March 8, 2013 at 12:08 pm

Yes. I also think McCain really just wants to share his BBQ sauce recipe.

      March 8, 2013 at 1:09 pm

It’s such a travesty that the people running an entire branch of the government are so self-involved. When one thinks of damage that these Republicans (and some weak Democrats) have done to this country, simply because they say the President hasn’t paid attention to them… It’s immoral. And they conveniently forget all the times the President has invited them to the White House and they’ve rejected his invitations. At the very beginning of his Presidency, Pres Obama and Michelle said they wanted to host weekly regular cocktail get-togethers to try and rekindle the old days when members of both parties could fight bitterly on the Senate and House floors, and then share a meal at the end of the day. They rejected him right from the early days of the White House Superbowl invitations. There’s only one group that has consistently put themselves ahead of the country – and that’s the Republican Party.

I respect President Obama being able to sit down with these people who spent the last four years working to destroy him, his reputation and his presidency – for the sake of politics.

Senate resolution designates ‘World Plumbing Day’

    By Ramsey Cox
The senate passed a resolution Thursday evening that designates next Monday as “World Plumbing Day.”

A group of bipartisan senators introduced S.Res. 73 the same day it passed by unanimous consent. The resolution expresses the importance plumbing plays in public health.

The senate is so full of its own importance. At least the idiots in those so called “not democratic” countries are honest about their intent of governing for self benefit. After allowing a fool to talk until his bowel was as full of it as his words – we then have this stupid.

  50. 119 Jovie
    March 8, 2013 at 12:37 pm

It’s becoming more and more clear that theDC liberals want to fracture off of the democratic party and start a party of their own.
They go after both parties and trash both parties, but mostly point out deficiencies with the Democratic party.
Then, they praise Rand Paul, without bringing up all the other issues he is for that would Hurt Americans.
Also, hayes keeps bringing up that the republicans are winning on substance because all we are talking about us austerity and cuts to SS to which he blames POTUS.
No background, just blame and inaccuracy.
The background is the system is designed to favor the minority party unless you have a super super majority.
Second, the DC liberals did not vote in 2010 because they were crying about no phlox option and we got killed in the midterms.
That one election in 2010 brought on Austerity because of Liberals like Chris Hayes.
He and his ilk deserve a lot of responsibility for Austerity, and somebody should tell him!

So, Chris Hayes (a person paid to talk on TV with limited knowledge) is complaining that the people paid to talk on TV with limited knowledge are only driving one topic of conversation? The one topic that matters 98% of Americans who actually work for a living, and whose lives are being upended by the media he works for, and the Republican Party he cherishes – who have talked about nothing but deficits and spending cuts? That was a long, sarcastic sentence – but Chris Hayes drives me crazy with fury.

I really think it’s time these media figures begin to fully disclose their financial interests. Where is their salary coming from and who is paying them to spew the nonstop propaganda they push 24/7. We need TRANSPARENCY in the media. And right now we don’t have it.

    • March 8, 2013 at 8:42 pm

I’m not usually this rude, Jovie, but Chris Hayes and the other limousine liberals can kiss my natural black ass. They still haven’t learned that they have very little power when it comes to influencing what liberals/dems think/do. They think we’re like republicans– that we’ll blindly follow their positions on issues. This sense that he’s the “smartest guy in the room” is the major reason I change the channel when I see Hayes on MSNBC. When he hosted for LO recently, I didn’t watch MSNBC at 10 :PM EST during that period, and I don’t waste my time tuning in to watch him on Saturdays. You’re right when you say that liberals like Chris Hayes influenced dems/liberals not to vote in the 2010 midterm elections, thereby, ushering in austerity. They claimed to be so “disappointed” In PBO and felt they had to “teach him a lesson.” They never thought about the many ways they had failed to help him. The poor man crossed the country telling Americans NOT to give the keys back to the republicans, and these asses had nothing for him except criticism filtered through their self-absorbed view of issues, the nation, and its’ people. I don’t tolerate cowards very well, Jovie, and it’s why I don’t tolerate CH, Ed, Tweety and others at MSNBC. If I see someone doing something wrong, I’m not going to be afraid to say it, no matter who it offends, but these jackasses would rather push false equivalences 24/7/365 than tell the truth a majority of the time. I have no respect for cowards, liars, and/or hypocrites. Their celebrity status means nothing to me if they can’t be consistent in their views, be fair, and tell the truth.

I saw on Wonkette that a radio station in Chgo has hired crazy hothead loser former Rep. Joe Walsh. So I thought I would contact them and ask who and why someone there thought it would be a good idea to put this national embarrassment on the air. And when I saw the line-up there, it sorta made sense. The nightmare of all nightmare line up: Glenn Beck, Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Miller and other assorted nutjobs. Found out the station had been purchased by SALEM Communications, a Christian broadcaster, buying up media outlets in all major markets. Co-founder is Stuart Epperson, a failed congressional candidate from North Carolina, a Bob Jones U. graduate. (other co-founder is his bro-in-law) Frightening—-all this junk further poisoning predisposed haters. Don’t want this crud in Illinois—-ugh.

I like the idea of being sworn in using a copy of the Constitution! Using the Bible for these occasions makes no sense to me. The Bible has nothing to do with our government, the Constitution has. This is written by a daughter of a Protestant minister, brought up with Bibles all over the house. Also, though, we were brought up with a strict belief in separation of church and state. Maybe this use of the Constitution will set a precedent.

I forgot you said FOX, they don’t give a dam about people like that, they just want to try to cause trouble for this administration.

      Rand Paul pushes his luck

      By Steve Benen

      —————————

The problem, as Mother Jones’ David Corn noted, is that Paul’s claims aren’t true. Holder, Corn explained, initially told Paul “if the United States were under attack from within, the president might have to order the use of lethal military force within the territory of the United States.” For more Democrats and Republicans, including Paul himself, this isn’t problematic.

The fundraising letter goes on to say the filibuster “worked” when the Obama administration reversed course. Except, it didn’t reverse course — the Justice Department’s position hasn’t changed. Holder’s second letter just reiterated what was already true — there could be no strikes against Americans “not engaged in combat.”

Paul’s letter tells prospective donors that his tactics “worked,” but the administration’s policy is identical to what it was before. So why is the senator suggesting otherwise? Apparently because he wants you to write him a check.

Corn added that Paul, at the height of his notoriety, seems to be a “crass operator,” “untethered from the truth,” pushing a “money-shaking email.”

      ————————————–

      Great tweet, Bob.

President Obama and his team must have to pinch themselves sometimes when seeing all the hysteria. I persist to think that the root of the problem is the national media. Political spin, political smears and the fabrication of false scandals is not new. But a functional media would mitigate the effects. A functional media would present facts, dispel myths and exaggerations, and shame the professional demagogues. Instead, they give platform to everyone willing to make drama.

Ditto. I didn’t think my disappointment with MSM could get much worse. It has. Facts don’t matter, especially when they are inconvenient..

I have also been reconsidering my viewership of The Daily Show. I don’t mind critique’s of policy, but tell the damn truth. Jon Stewart seems to be trying very hard to find material he can use to bash PBO. I thought his ‘assessment’ of the State of the Union speech was especially heinous. His one act concentration on the ‘Drone War’ is astonishing. The President has a right to use Lethal Force to protect us from eminent attack. Drones are just on type of Lethal Weapon. Why are Dems so stupid about this. The question should be about clarifying the Executive’s authority.. That is the job of Congress. PBO has been telling these Dem bulbs for 6 years, that Congress needs to do it’s job when it comes to limiting Executive Power.

Dems can be just a petty as Teathugs, when they get frustrated with inaction. Instead of thoughtful discussion about the divisions of power, they blame PBO for not ‘forcing’ rethugs to act like professionals, and do the job they were sent to Washington to do. Amazing, and totally intellectually dishonest.

I used to like Rachel but this drone stuff has turned me off. As Lindsay Graham said “where was all this criticism when GWB was using drones?”
    Good question.

Only thing I can figure is that POTUS excellence has taken away any valid criticism so MSM is improvising.
I mean you can’t say “PBO is soft on defense” anymore, can you? OBL gone, war’s over, OBL son-in-law in custody.
You can’t say “PBO bad for business” anymore, can you? Employment up, Dow up, Profits UP UP & Away.
You can’t say “PBO has to do this for his legacy” can you? Obamacare is legacy guaranteed.

Ok TOD’ers. We need to call out Bruan Williams and NBC News. Tweet, email and call. Tonight on the Nightly News, Lisa Meyers did a report on the sequester cuts and the report focused on the lie that PBO is picking and choosing the cuts for political sway. And I mean they went for the juggler! The report interviewed the folks taking “the final WH tour today”. Then proceeded to imply that PBO choose to stop the tours but went across town for a dinner with Republicans with a 27 car motorcade AND gave the cost of that Secret Service detail that night. Fuck them! I just emailed NBC News and asked them if they were aware this President is the most threatened than any one in history. Up 400% since his election and if we wanted to watch that kind of “journalism” we would be watching Fox News! Time to do some serious push back. If you want to view the segment before responding, they’ll have it on their website sometime tonight. It will really get your BP up, guaranteed! I am so pissed right now I can’t see straight!

I don’t tweet so I will call Monday. I mentioned couple weeks ago that I have been watching CBS and find it much better. It is the closest thing we have to “straight news.” Had to put that in quotes…..think you know what I mean. I find their reporting is not so partisan.

NBC is having a Banner Anti-Obama Day. Started out with Chuck Todd telling the Today Show audience that President Obama’s actions never match his words. And Lisa Myers always is anti-Obama, anti-Dem in her reporting. This report is dishonest, misleading and despicable and has “NBC political director” Chuck Todd’s fingerprints all over it.

News anchors deliver the news they are paid to deliver.
They have an agenda that does not match ours.

The fuss over WH Tours demonstrates a few things to me: MSM insist that they get to decide what the news is. Not PBO.
MSM wants cuts on the invisible parts of our populace. How dare PBO allow cuts that visibly hurt the job creators…. And so on

So now President Obama will not be able to do ANY public event ? Nor will he deserve ANY vacation ?

I’m pissed too. What the hell is going on this week ? I mean, they are always negative, but why are they WORSE than usual ?

Has something happened behind the scenes ? Jay Carney losing his cool with Chuck Todd or something ? I mean, now Ed is back to attacking President Obama, after a period where he was pretty more rational and fair. Matthews, Brian Williams, etc. Maybe I’m paranoid, but it seems coordinated, and I suspect some petty reason for it.

Cannot believe the cap about the President’s so called vacations – every one he plans is usually ruined/shortened because of the stupid that is congress. No – there’s a clue – the only time the congress works is when the President has planned a vacation.

No they don’t; including Dec 2012, they were on vacation the same amount of time OR longer that the President. The hypocritical congresscritters seem to think PBO is supposed to be chained to the WH. And don’t get me started on boehner(lower case reps my lack of respect) — the DISRESPECT that drips from his every pore when he does his daily press statements really riles me. I am beginning to worry that liberal elites (mostly in the media) are going to shove Hilary Clinton as the democratic nominee in 2016. These liberal elites act like Bill Clinton is not the one that signed DOMA, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, Repeal of Glass Seagal, Passage of NAFTA (although Bush I negotiated it), Carried Interest rule for Wall Street, and Clinton joined republicans in demonizing welfare recipients. I can go on and on…Bill Clinton’s Op-Ed in WSJ today is simply a cover for Hilary’s run. I just can’t support Hilary – remember her support for all things republicans on foreign policy. Bill and Hilary are shamlessly ambitious. Someone please help me….

Too many Dems have short memories. Clinton also deregulated the telecommunications industry, allowing FOX and the right wing to dominate cable and radio. Clinton did a lot of damage.

The libruls are now trying to use Clinton to undermine PBO’s prestige and accomplishments. This is both sad and pathetic. I am a Hillary Fan, but she had to earn it. Bill Clinton didn’t come off my shit list until the 2012 election. He really gave his all to get PBO re-elected.

The same libruls that glorify Clinton now, accuse obama supporters of blind worship.

    • 347 99ts
      March 8, 2013 at 8:05 pm

Pres Clinton had little courage when in power – suddenly he is the revered older statesman – that GWB was able to win an election – well get close enough for the courts to give him the Presidency – was surely the result of Clinton’s second term.

America does not need another Clinton, nor another Bush in the white house. The Presidency is not something that is passed along in the family (think North Korea), it is not a figurehead monarchy. The voice of the people needs to be in the White House – as it is with President Obama. The democrats have many worthy successors – I agree that Hilary Clinton is not the answer to any of America’s problems.

        March 8, 2013 at 8:22 pm

I’m happy that there are some sane minds (Vicki and 99ts included of course). It just pisses me off to see all these Clintonites and liberal elites acting like she’s God’s best gift and responsible for POTUS’s foreign policy. It even makes me more mad the way they disrespect VPOTUS, who has achieve a lot more than Hilary, by telling VPOTUS has no chance and that he cannot run if Hilary decides to run. Are you kidding me?

It is simple for me…a democratic candidate must focus on leveling the playing field for middle class (and the poort), and be willing to fight people within and outside the democratic party for those ideals. Clinton never did, and that is why republicans never mind his policy (other than his raising tax rates).

        • 349 99ts
          March 8, 2013 at 8:50 pm

I am utterly unsure who is the middle class any more. 30 years ago the middle class were white collar workers (office types) and unionized workers in major industries and govt – who had “jobs for life” got a raise each year & paid off their modest homes with a mortgage over 20-30 years while supporting their children through school and sometimes college. Farmers who then earned a living wage to support their families were also part of the middle class – and at times the wealthy.

Today it seems – there are mainly the rich and the poor – those who pretend they are middle class – are just their job away from poverty. There are few that are not considered wealthy who can financially survive more than a month or two of unemployment.

You know what, they tried this before and it didn’t work! As hopefruit and others have repeatedly reminded us, all of us who support President Obama should be focused on the 2014 Congressional elections. We need to give the President a Congress he can work with. For me my 2016, #1 choice to replace President Obama is VP Joe Biden! I trust and highly respect Joe Biden. If Biden decides not to run, then I will look at other candidates including Hillary Clinton.

      • 351 Who This

Except that they are more determined now. Joe Biden, O’Mally and Kaine are people who can carry on PBO’s leacy of leveling the playing field for middle class and the poor, and I hope they don’t get discouraged.

If all of us who support President Obama stand with VP Biden, or Governor O’Mally or Senator Kaine, or Governor Patrick, the loud mouths on T.V. can be be check-mated! They wanted Hillary Clinton in ’08 and they failed. They wanted Hillary to replace Joe Biden as VP in 2012, and got absolutely nowhere. Many wanted and pushed for Romney in 2012, and they failed miserably! WT, as far as I am concerned, the pundits, and other Washington insiders, who are pushing for Hillary have not been paying attention political reality! If they were paying attention they would realize that they no longer have the power to shape election outcomes. Media pundits and Washington insiders are no longer the only voice in the political field. Many of us no longer care about their opinions and very much alert to their manipulations. The last election should have taught them a lesson. If Hillary wants to be President, she has to successfully appeal to the grassroots. MSM pundits, no matter how loud they shout, and no matter how many manipulated polls they cite, have no power to make Hillary Clinton, or anyone else for that matter, President.

Talk of 2016 is a waste of air time at this point and certainly a waste of all of our time. We’ve got local elections to win this year and the critical congressional, senate and governor races to win next year. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize. total waste of time and your energy. they are doing EXACTLY what they are being paid to do by the billionaires that own their companies. they literally do not care what you think. they do not care about ratings. they simply want to keep liberals out of power in case they might raise taxes and increase regulations on those owners.

        March 8, 2013 at 9:44 pm

Everything you wrote is right about their motives, but I also believe their bottom lines – ratings and ads – always enter into the picture. Trouble is people keep watching them and don’t make a fuss about boycotting the ad makers (unless it’s Rush’s show – that’s working somewhat to get his sponsors to drop him – although there are always other sponsors to take their places), so the corporate types tell their hired mouthpieces to keep up their awful shenanigans. And the whole country suffers.

        • 370 4morefor44
          March 8, 2013 at 9:56 pm

i could provide pages of links showing they don’t really care about ratings. for instance, david gregory just got a big contract renewal despite “meet the press” tanking in ratings since he took over, and often losing to the other shows, which used to never happen at all for years. if chris matthews was fired tomorrow, would there be some big groundswell of support for him as there was with phil donahue? no, but he stays there decade after decade. the new york times has been languishing for years yet no changes happen with people such as david brooks. these people keep their jobs by promoting republican insanity. nothing more, nothing less. “organizing for action” is a much more valuable use of time and energy than trying to get media people to stop doing what they’re paid to do.

I need to vent. As you know, today is Intl Womens Day and on this messageboard I frequent, there’s this really sexist jerk who hates women and who believes they’re only good for one thing; ogling and sex and pleasing him. So about once a week he posts a ton of naked pictures on the board. I hate it, and I wish the moderators who stop him from doing it. But alas, they don’t. So today I decided to make a post about INtl Womens Day. It was met with some welcome, but mostly more sexist and cruel jokes. I clicked on that naked lady post this jerk made and someone responded “now THAT’s how you celebrate intl womens day”. That comment made me feel so sad I cried.

Sexist is real, folks. I don’t have to tell ya’ll that, though. Ya’ll deal with GOP sexist every day. But even outside of politics, sexism exists, and it’s very real. I guess all we can do is keep fighting the good fight.

Yes, sexism hurts, racism hurts, nasty words hurt. I remember being told as a child, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.” Well…..that just isn’t true, AT ALL!!!
I know that this kind of despicable behavior comes out of fear…..not strength, not thinking, but complete basic fear. And fear can manifest itself in many ugly ways, and this is one of them.
My husband has asked me numerous times……”Why is it you notice people’s interactions and facial expressions, and figure people out so quickly, and I just don’t?” I told him, it’s female evolution. It’s how we as a sex have survived and yes, thrived. We didn’t have brute force or strength, so we have survived by our wits and senses, and I believe that’s true.
All a man like that one has to fight with are ignorance and stupidity and nastiness……and what he considers “manliness.” PATHETIC!!!!!
He has no idea what a real man is, and will never know. However, that is no excuse, and people like that cause real pain. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

I see old big dog (Bill Clinton) wrote an op-ed about “DOMA” being overturned after he signed it into law almost twenty years ago. If only he would have stopped for one moment and considered the ramifications beyond his own political survival he would have not gone down that road in the first place. And the only reason he’s speaking out now is to position Hillary to be on the right side of history, nothing more nothing less.

It is awfully presumptuous of the Professional Left and the Emoprogs to naturally assume that “We the People” will blindly run out and vote for Hillary. She has to EARN our trust just like President Obama had to EARN our trust, and yes, Bill Clinton did an outstanding job as President as far as the economy was concerned. President Obama has shown us glimpses of the “Promised Land,” and we are not about to start going backwards just to feed someone’s ego.

I think the Clintons should sit back and think long and hard about 2016.

What represents the “promised land” to many of us ordinary American citizens, represents the worst nightmare to these corporate owned media figures.

Maybe next week Mr. Clinton can write an op-ed denouncing the repeal of Glass-Steagal

Chips….we all know that the right wing is full of really crazy nuts that have no morals, integrity, character, or compassion so therefor should not be surprised that one would pose as a PBO supporter while “stalking”, harrassing, and uses vulgar, sexist language towards someone who has provided a “safe haven” for PBO supporters….brush them off your shoulder as PBO does and block, delete, ignore someone who is probably sitting in their bunker waiting for the black helicopters to come….or enjoying life in the confines of a prison cell…..or the basement of their parents house….and know when you return that you are surrounded by people who love you and respect you and would do anything they could to make this vulgar episode disappear from your life,…. if we just knew how. Enjoy your time off and know we await your return with support, respect, and affection.

South Dakota governor signs bill allowing employees to carry guns in School.
I hate to tell you this, but the NRA is easily winning this argument. Guns have quadruppled since Sandy Hook and now this. 😦

I live in Austin Texas, and I’m just waiting for the powers that be to send a note home through my son about his teachers being armed.

This is South Dakota. Not California or New York. They are not the bellweather for the country.
