My mother is frightened because my oldest brother looks a lot like Chris Dorner and he drives a light grey toyota. The two Hispanic women were almost shot to death, just think what they would do to him and so many AA males that resemble him.

I can say that I’ve been lucky enough to have visited the Cliffs. It’s the only vacation abroad that I’ve taken where I was genuinely ticked off about coming home. I think if I’d just had stayed one more week in Ireland I might have stayed. Ireland was just as green as all the pictures of it I had seen. I loved it. 🙂

How did mankind come to enjoy what we now call music? How did music come to be? Why do we love music, no matter where we hail from, how old we are, etc? Is it necessary like food and oxygen?
Good questions. I, for one, struggle with the question of which is greater: the word or the note? I’m a writer, so one would assume I’d come down on the side of the word. But I tell you, I’m a frustrated musician. I think that my most satisfying achievement as a writer would be to compose the libretto for an opera.

They assume that Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians, are totally ignorant of the blatantly racist features of what constitutes the conservative agenda; racist features that are routinely, and openly, espoused by white racists.
That site is a cesspool of Republican nonsense, but reading the comments was actually quite interesting. The right wingers were trying to justify the GOP chasing after anyone of colour that could become “their own Obama”, and they were being beaten back by some fairly cogent arguments. I knew this Carson character was bad news the day I saw him at that prayer breakfast, and the fact that he’s being seduced into even thinking of running for President with the simplistic, half-baked, right-wing ideas he presented at the prayer breakfast is ridiculous. Plus, he disrespected the President, and this proves it.
A blessed Monday night to everyone. I just came on to encourage the PBO twitter warriors and bloggers to not let the Republicans/Teabaggers distract the american people from the critical issues in PBO’s SOTU address tomorrow and the days after. I believe that Rubio, Paul and Nugent were carefully chosen to prevent the American public from digesting the president’s speech; to sidetrack them from what is really relevant. The media will be deliberately busy comparing the three opposing responses instead of highlighting the important tenets provided by the president.
I am therefore encouraging the PBO twitter brigade along with those who blog and are on Facebook to inundate the airwaves, virtual space and twitterverse with excerpts from the president. Do not let the media suppress the impact of President Obama’s delivery. Force them to focus on what matters best for the USA.

When PBO said long ago that he was the first Pacific President, few knew what he really meant. This area has needed attention for quite some time. I really like the things he has done in Australia ( troops to be stationed there) and in strengthening our relationship with Asian nations in the area. China has been served.
