Yes, it is. I love Pres. Obama and his team. He listeners. Some idjit I read said he does all the talking and Biden listens. That’s not what I’ve heard. It doesn’t look like it here. Thank you Mr. Souza.

I would imagine that is HIGHLY unlikely!

Given the hearing today – the senators talked and the nominee listened – smart move by then Sen Obama to not stay too long in the senate – he would have learned some bad habits.

Former Russian president Medvedev was asked a few years back about the difference between GWB and PBO, and he said that a major difference is that PBO is a good listener. Whoever the idjit was who said that president does most of the talking in meetings, pulled that lie from his ass, just like most of the other “journalists” who stand on the outside and make sh*t up about this president.

Can’t remember who, but they were talking about Biden learning to listen because of his long time in the Senate compared to the short time Pres. Obama spent there.

It was the best of times,
it was the worst of times,
it was the age of wisdom,
it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief,
it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light,
it was the season of Darkness,
it was the spring of hope,
it was the winter of despair,

we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way — in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

Thank you Bob. They shot American Germans who traveled back to Germany and put on the German Uniform too. I thought Brennan did very well today explaining that. Callers into c-span thought he did also. I don’t think anyone objected on the few calls they took.

I have been looking at the MSNBC ratings for about a week now….they have been going down. TVbynumbers.com and Mediabistro.com

I have No illusions for their desire to continue to hop on DRONES. They were against them during Bush. I get it. But what I object is the daily drum beat. That I profoundly object to.

Last, when Al Qaeda undeclare war on USA…..I might listen to their collective rants……sorry, :(. I lied.

I have stopped watching MSNBC in the evenings. After I watch Bashir, skip Tweety, and watch Rev. Al, I’m pretty much finished. I’ll watch Lawrence sometimes, if he’s not on one of his soapboxes. I can’t stand to listen to them pontificate on issues they have no inside info about. It’s all pure conjecture. I wouldn’t want PBO’s job, and they wouldn’t either it they were given the opportunity to do it. It’s quite easy to sit on a sound stage and say what you would/would not do, but it’s entirely different being in a position where you HAVE to make serious decisions that impact the lives of millions. IMO, Al Awlaki was no three year old kid, and he wasn’t mentally ill. He made an informed decision to declare war on his own government. The Yemeni government had already tried him in absentia for being a member of al Qaeda and for trying to kill foreigners. A Yemeni judge had issued an alive or dead order for him. He had to know that his decision could have caused him to lose his life. I truly believe that some who are objecting to the use of drones to kill Americans like Al Awlaki are not being honest about who/what he was and how much of a potential threat he was to the U.S.

As always, you are spot-on, Bobfr! And, if I remember the history I was taught correctly, Congress stripped citizenship from those Confederates who willingly took up arms against the United States. In order for their citizenship to be restored, Confederates had to take an “iron-clad oath” pledging their loyalty to the United States. What I don’t understand is why the “holier than thou liberals/progressives” are so obsessed with the rights of al-Awlaki. Al- Awlaki willingly chose to join a foreign organization, which is a sworn enemy of the United States. Exactly why should he be accorded all the rights of an American citizens when, in essence, he chose to renounce his loyalty to the United States?

“What I don’t understand is why the “holier than thou liberals/progressives” are so obsessed with the rights of al-Awlaki. Al- Awlaki willingly chose to join a foreign organization, which is a sworn enemy of the United States.:

        Precisely, nath. Thank you.

It is not a complicated ‘policy’ issue. If you denounce your US citizenship and then in any way actively participate in Acts of War against the United States of America, you are an enemy warrior. That’s what al-Awalki willfully decided to do and then DID. Only law governing his treatment are the four treaties and three protocols that comprise the Geneva Conventions. Using mechanisms that ensure high reliability of an intended target and that minimizes collateral damage and keeps our troops out of harms way is the best way to deal with an enemy warrior like al-Awlaki.

That’s it in a nutshell! And the President is responsible for protecting Americans from “enemy warriors.”

What I love about this picture is that a little over six years ago, President Obama was the junior Senator from Illinois, and the two men now advising (and working for) him had 25 more years of experience in the Senate. And nine years ago, President Obama was a state Senator being given an opportunity of a lifetime to give the Keynote speech of the man now sitting in front of him. And a little bit before that, then state Senator Obama couldn’t even get into the DNC Convention. And back then, no-one in that room in the picture had a clue that they’d be where they are today.

The media, as usual, followed John McCain down the wrong track – and adding to that wrong track – the GOP were so busy celebrating their skill in creating a senate vacancy – they didn’t think to check if they had a suitable candidate for said vacancy.

            February 7, 2013 at 9:54 pm

I also think Hillary was a very strategic choice (and of course she had the skills) – it stopped any talk of a primary challenge in 2012 – which the media would have jumped on with a joy to end all joys.

Hillary was one of the President’s best choices in ’09 – a remarkable, strategic choice, as you point out. He made it work, she made it work, it worked, and I’m hoping for the same outcome with SOS Kerry.

As I sit and ponder all the political activity of the last four years, I think that there has got to be a message in this stew somewhere. At the risk of over simplification that the rwnj’s want to: reduce government, control cash flow, minimize salaries/benefits, and control womens vaginas.

Yes, it was funny, and I dare say the beauty of the R insistence on wanting the control of women’s vaginas is that every other D or I man in America eventually gets to use that word in a sentence, too. So, there’s that. 🙂

You omitted “minimize minority voting” – taking away the “right to vote” from those who would vote against you – is the end of democracy. This seems to be even more important to the GOP than legislating how a vagina should behave (the latter being a close second).

Well Rachel what I worry about is being attack by some terrorists who want to kill Americans just because they are Americans. If you are a member of the terrorists group, you are the Enemy.

Findus beef lasagne contained up to 100% horsemeat, FSA says

The meat of some beef lasagne products recalled by Findus earlier this week was 100% horsemeat, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has said.

On Monday Findus withdrew from retailers its beef lasagne in 320g, 360g and 500g sizes as a precaution.

Environment Secretary Owen Paterson said the findings were “completely unacceptable”, but Findus said it did not believe it was a food safety issue.

    Love this man!

Outgoing Energy Department Secretary Steven Chu, who announced his resignation last week, took to his Facebook page Thursday to make light of an article from parody news site “The Onion” alleging that he woke up next to a solar panel after a night of partying in D.C. As Chu wrote in a post on his Facebook page:

“I just want everyone to know that my decision not to serve a second term as Energy Secretary has absolutely nothing to do with the allegations made in this week’s edition of the Onion. While I’m not going to confirm or deny the charges specifically, I will say that clean, renewable solar power is a growing source of U.S. jobs and is becoming more and more affordable, so it’s no surprise that lots of Americans are falling in love with solar.”

A man had looked through his wife’s things and found 1 Skittle and $100,000 mixed in with her thongs. When she got home from working at the deli he asked her about it. She said every time they had bad sex in the last 50 years, she would put a Skittle in the box. The man thought 1 night of bad sex in 50 years wasn’t that bad. Oh yeah, where did the money come from he asked. The wife said every 12 balls, she sold them to the neighborhood kids for one dollar. The man told her if she did not like their sex to go live in Hawaii, off the money she made. The next morning she was gone.

There is this guy that walked down the street one day when he saw a dusty lamp laying on the road. Interested, because he loved antiques, he picked up the lamp and rubbed the dust off. Immediately after, a genie pops out.

The genie states, “Thank you so much for freeing me from my eternal punishment, I will grant you one wish!”

The guy is flabbergasted, and he takes this offer on.

He states, “Well, I have always wanted a private bridge from my house to Bermuda.”

The genie states, “No, no, not possible, imagine all of the funds and supplies that would take, not, not possible at all, you selfish prick.”

He states, “well, I have always had trouble with women an-”

The genie, upon hearing this asks, “That’s enough. Do you want that bridge in two lanes or four?”
