    Laws of Nature

**Law of Mechanical Repair -After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch and you’ll have to pee.

**Law of Gravity – Any tool, nut, bolt, screw, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.

** Law of Probability- The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.

**Law of Random Numbers – If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal and someone always answers.

5.Supermarket Law – As soon as you get in the smallest line, the cashier will have to call for help.

**Variation Law -If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will always move faster than the one you are in now.

**Law of the Bath – When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings.

** Law of Close Encounters -The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don’t want to be seen with.

** Law of the Result – When you try to prove to someone that a machine won’t work, it will.

*** Law of Biomechanics -The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.

**** Law of the Theater & Hockey Arena – At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle, always arrive last. They are the ones who will leave their seats several times to go for food, beer, or the toilet and who leave early before the end of the performance or the game is over. The folks in the aisle seats come early, never move once, have long gangly legs or big bellies and stay to the bitter end of the performance. The aisle people also are very surly folk.

*** The Coffee Law – As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.

*** Murphy’s Law of Lockers- If there are only 2 people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers.

*** Law of Physical Surfaces- The chances of an open-faced jam sandwich landing face down on a floor, are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet or rug.

***Law of Logical Argument-Anything is possible if you don’t know what you are talking about.

*** Brown’s Law of Physical Appearance – If the clothes fit, they’re ugly.

***Oliver’s Law of Public Speaking- A closed mouth gathers no feet.

***Wilson’s Law of Commercial Marketing Strategy -As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.

*** Doctors’ Law- If you don’t feel well, make an appointment to go to the doctor, by the time you get there you’ll feel better… But don’t make an appointment, and you’ll stay sick. This has been proven over and over with taking children to the pediatrician.

This is a great idea. We could make that list reach tens of millions and then ask the NRA why they were the enemy of so many Americans.

Former Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey (R) told the Boston Herald that she won’t run for Secretary of State John Kerry’s old seat in the special election scheduled for June 25.

Washington Post: “Healey joins a growing list of Republicans in turning down the race, including former senator Scott Brown, former congressional candidate Richard Tisei, former governor Bill Weld and Romney’s oldest son, Tagg Romney.”

It seems the White House meme is “self-inflicted wounds.”
And we know EXACTLY who it is doing the inflicting.
    Go, POTUS, Go.
No false equivalency or undue graciousness needed now.
The GOP/MSM can take the full weight for their policies.

So many hearings and speeches, only two ears. Watching CSPANs. There’s a disruption going on in the chambers of the immigration policy House Judiciary Committee hearing. There’s Eric Cantor presenting the Republican Agenda, as if we didn’t already know that. Then, there’s the House discussing a Repub budget resolution, of which a NY Dem rep just called a stupid piece of legislation. The vote is expected at 2pm.

    Oh my, so many choices.

I wish I knew what NY Rep that was. He deserves a valentine. Love it when these guys put the bs aside and call thing what they are.

meta – Forgive my lack of memory on this, but is this Pres. Obama’s first trip to Israel since he became President in ’09?

It is J, he was there when he was a Senator.

Thanks, Chips! Hmmm … wonder if he and SOS Kerry will visit, as a statement, kind of the same way SOS Clinton went to Russia and symbolically set the “RESET” button? That reset thingie in the flesh was a little nerdy, but I mean figuratively and symbolically.

Or not. (Nobody’s askin’ me for my diplomatic advice, that’s for sure!)

Cantor just said at the AEI we need more federal money for medical research. This is too much.

    • February 5, 2013 at 2:44 pm

Good. And PBO is going to make him regret that he ever said it. I can see him giving a speech sometime this year: “And so I agree with Eric Cantor. We should spend more federal money for research.” Ouch.

        February 5, 2013 at 3:21 pm

The President has a big speech coming up in a few days where he can conveniently drop in these references – called the State of the Union. Oh, how stupid will Cantor look when he and his buddies refuse to applaud these ideas that are part of their new “marketing”, simply because these ideas don’t reflect their policies to inflict as much damage and harm to the American people as possible.

          February 5, 2013 at 4:03 pm

Oh, I keep momentarily forgetting the SOTU ! And, yes, can’t wait to see Cantor’s face twitch during the big event. Also can’t wait to see VP Biden sitting behind the President during the speech, cancelling out the ugly that is Boehner sitting next to him.

“At 5.3 percent of GDP, defecit would be only about half as large, relative to the size of the economy, as the deficit was in 2009.” Obama promised to halve the deficit in his first term and he came pretty close.

  17. February 5, 2013 at 1:51 pm

Media is whining that twitter “trolls” are calling them out for complaining that POTUS doesn’t answer questions. We’ve seen their work so don’t be surprised that we think you all have shit for brains.

That’s a stunning piece. And quite telling that Bibi has no plans to view the documentary.

        • February 5, 2013 at 3:13 pm

This is the reality Bibi will never escape ….

“Against the backdrop of the currently frozen peace process, all six argue – to varying degrees – that the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land is bad for the state of Israel.

The oldest amongst the former chiefs, Avraham Shalom, says Israel lost touch with how to coexist with the Palestinians as far back as the aftermath of the Six Day War of 1967, with the occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, when the country started doubling down on terrorism. “We forgot about the Palestinian issue,” Shalom says in the film.

Moreh said he was shocked to hear Avraham Shalom, Austrian-born and a refugee of the Nazis, compare the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian Territories to Germany’s occupation of Europe. “Bear in mind that Avraham Shalom was born in Vienna,” Moreh said. “And at the Kristallnacht he was forced by his mother to go to school and was beaten almost to death by his classmates… He said ‘I experienced firsthand what it means to be under a racist regime.’”

Moreh knew that he had to include that part of the interview in the film. “I said to myself I have to keep it, because he understands what he speaks.” “Only Jews can say those kind of words,” he told Amanpour. “And only they can have the justification to speak as they spoke in the film.”

Since our MSM never give full coverage to the President’s trips abroad, who knows if they’ll bother to cover this, unless it’s with non-stop punditry on how the President “doesn’t support Israel” and other lies. Barf. Luckily, there are other ways to get our news and information on his visits to other countries.

  20. February 5, 2013 at 2:06 pm

Went home at lunch and turned on the TV – it was apparently already at CSPAN. I heard someone talking while I was making my lunch – I thought “Wow, that person sounds very monotonous and boring – I don’t want to listen to him talk very long.” Went into the living room – it was Mr. Cantor, looking down and reading off a sheet. BOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRING. I switched it over to CNN for POTUS immediately. Thank goodness I had such a fine choice.

      February 5, 2013 at 4:16 pm

Yes, they have to look down and read off a sheet, because they’re not allowed modern conveniences like teleprompters. Gag. Glad I missed Cantor, even accidentally.

JACKALS HAVE SELECTIVE AMNESIA AND QUESTION ADMINISTRATION TRANSPARENCY ON DRONES. PRESS SECRETARY JAY CARNEY REMINDS THEM OF PUBLIC SPEECHES MADE BY SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS ON DRONES IN THE PAST THAT DID NOT GET THE ATTENTION OF THE NBC “EXCLUSIVE” ON LEAKED WHITE PAPER. THE “UNCLASSIFIED” WHITE PAPER WAS PROVIDED TO MEMBERS OF CONGRESS.

“Needless to say, this plan — the creation of the Congressional Progressive Caucus — has no chance whatsoever of passing Congress. Which is exactly the point: No plan that prioritizes job creation as the best means of reducing the deficit; no plan that cuts defense while determinedly avoiding any cuts that would hurt the poor and elderly; no plan that includes equivalent concessions by both sides — could ever have a prayer in today’s Washington. It’s yet another indication of how out of whack Washington’s priorities are.”

I was watching and reading some stuff about the Inauguration and the Today show had this black woman name Robin Givihan from Washington Post talking about Michelle Obama’s fashion style. Why do any of you know of this Robin woman, I get the sense she is no fan of our FLOTUS. I could be wrong.

    • 113 Bill
      February 5, 2013 at 3:53 pm

She used to be fashion editor of the Washington Post. In 2009 she criticized FLOTUS for wearing shorts on vacation.

  27. February 5, 2013 at 3:54 pm

AHEM: Correct me if I’m wrong. When Senate Democrats say they don’t want to reform the filibuster because GOP might use it to their advantage when they get the majority, Liberals say that’s not a good enough excuse to not do something. So why is that a good excuse when it comes to drones? George W. didn’t need precedence when he governed and neither will the next President or the one after that. Sure they can say, “well the last guy did it” but as we know from George W., the next president can find a way. Argue that you are a pacifist and don’t want any type of military action but I just don’t buy the precedence argument.
