Fantastic link 4More, thank you so much! I can remember Steve Benen going after him for that outrageous crap he wrote, neglecting to mention Bush’s ‘contribution’ to the deficit, he’s a loathsome shill. But we keep getting told how impartial he is. Good grief.

Per an article over at the Orange, In May 2010, while speaking to TCU students, pres Obama mentioned about his skeet shoots. In Sept of 2010, he again mention about practicing with the Secret Service……again Riffle sheet shoots. So had The New Republic not asked him about ever having shot a gun before, the 2010 comments might have been quietly dead and buried.

Once again, proving how useless our National Media is.

Funny how there are more ways to get information. Yet Our 4th Estate is woefully failing these USA in every measurable way Not to factually inform the populace with accuracy in News reporting.

The interview was JUST for 7.55 minutes? It feels very short to me when compared to the 4 previous ones.

These people complain about not getting a chance. Yet when they do, the questions they ask are usually lame.

7.55 minutes to me is to short of a time to waste this president’s time. It seems to me that while the president was Looking Just perfect. Scott Pelly was NOT……he seemed a tad unsure of himself.

  14. February 3, 2013 at 6:05 pm

Congrats, CarolMae! You’re doin’ Wyoming proud.

Here to vent about appalling MSM (this time CBSradio, home of non-@SnarkKnoller and tea-NN):

    @JamesFallows tweet this morning:
“On CNN just now, Elaine Chao said Obama not as high-minded as GOP Senate leaders. C Crowley never mentioned who Chao is married to”[my edit: Chao is Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell’s wife]

And yesterday, CBS radio’s “Weekend Roundup” kicked off their coverage of the Senate confirmation hearings with this gem (from memory, may not be exact quote and is not yet up on their website):
“after blocking Obama’s first choice for Secretary of State, the Senate confirmed Kerry.”

Does anyone know how to contact CBSnews who will respond to their (carefully edited) dishonest “news?” Susan Rice’s “nomination” was a fantasy fabricated by the loathsome media, but is now trumpted as “truth” by Walter Cronkte’s organization.

Skeetgate is important! Yellowcake in Niger lies are not important (yet cost thousands of lives, cost trillions of dollars).

Yes, she and the newtown kids had me tearing right up. I just thought about Ms. Hudson and her family’s horrible experience and loss through gun violence. It was a very real moment, so moving and powerful. Between that and the mayors agains gun violence commercial tonight I think we will see a real advancement of the gun safety conversation. I have not watched the president’s (short) interview. Did he get a chance to talk about gun violence and brain injuries in football?

Anyway, I loved the green ribbons ( is it new?)

Thank you for posting the interview so fast, Chips ! I’ve become lazy you know. I didn’t make the effort to search for the interview on line. I just KNEW you would find it real quick !!!

A very effective interview of President Obama. Millions watching, and he appears like “the adult in the room”. He comes off as concerned by the economy but optimistic at the same time. Perfect tone. He uses the interview to push again for a balanced approach to deficit reduction, for new revenue, for the end of certain loopholes. He sends the message about SMART spending cuts. He sends the message that uncertainty hurts the economy and that this succession of manufactured crisis is NOT GOOD.

    Good job, Mr. President !!

Never thought I would agree with Carl Rove about anything – but it is the exception that proves the rule

“Representative Steve King, a six-term Iowa Republican, could be among the earliest targets of the Conservative Victory Project. He said he had not decided whether he would run for the Senate, but the leaders of the project in Washington are not waiting to try to steer him away from the race.” (NYT quote)

    • 129 majiir
      February 3, 2013 at 9:53 pm

This nut should know that taking anyone anywhere against his/her will is a crime! If I were as dumb as Steve King, I’d keep my d@mn mouth shut. If he runs for the Senate and a majority of the people of Iowa vote him into office, they should hold their heads down in shame. This tool had the nerve to say that because he was re-elected in 2012, in spite of Romney losing the state to PBO, he thinks he has a good chance of winning a senate seat. Running for a seat in the senate is different from running for a seat in a congressional district. Just because the people in his cd keep sending him back to the House doesn’t mean that all of the voters in Iowa will vote to send him to the senate.

I hope this is a big embarrassment for Bobby Jindal. I’m wondering whether this is karma’s payback to him for how ugly he’s always been toward the president. If it is, he deserves it. It’s a doggone shame that some people refuse to address problems because of who is in the WH. PBO put upgrading our electrical grid among his top priorities, but the GOPers in Congress and the states are too dumb to realize we need to do this, plus it creates jobs and stimulates the economy. I’m sick of dumb, Bobfr, sick of it, and I’m sick of the failure of republicans in Congress and the states to do their jobs in a responsible way.
