It is more of an orangey red, if you can call it that. It is a stunning color. I wish they would dance more than once. I can’t get enough of seeing them together. I guess I am being selfish.

Phew, just got caught in the last night’s storm and am I a mess or what? Thank you all for your kind words. Sorry, folks. Didn’t mean to create a scene.
After six years of emotional roller coaster with that man with a funny name and funnier ears (wagging fingers @ Barack Hussein Obama), I am all whacked out. Seeing his second inauguration (what an inauguration it was), finally broke my self-made promise of not to get emotional. When he got elected first, I thought the job was done but I was proved to be wrong, again and again with all kindsa forces working against him to make him an “one-termer” (I fucking hate that word). Now that he is a two-termer (wish that number go on to at least twice of that), I thought I will take a break.
It’s not a permanent fade-away wave of hands at all. I will still be here, only not as often, due to pressures of being a dad & husband and running an industry. But I will always be there for PBO and JB.
And thanks LL, for those terms of endearment. 🙂

amk, please do stay around, even if not as often. I so know how you feel. Oddly, I am on an even keel today, a little teary but not too much. I too thought with the first inauguration, so hard fought against McCain and Palin (so many non-truths on that side, and hate mongering) that we could relax. Alas, it was not to be. And as I have said before, I felt as though the last four years have just been a constant campaign especially with having to “counter” attacks from the right wing all the time. With our President’s re-election and lately, with a change in temperament maybe … the forcefulness he is exhibiting on the debt ceiling, on gun control, and I think he will do similarly on gay rights and immigration reform, maybe we will not have to campaign, but to just push forward. Unless there are drastic changes in the Republican Party, I really don’t see how or with who they could win an election in four years. This is my most fervent hope and prayer; that even if our beloved President cannot remain in office, he will leave his legacy to another capable, strong Democrat who will not have to incur the hateful obstruction because we will have decimated the GOP as it now is. Good to see you tonight! Sorry for the rant.

My first Stevie Concert was at the Tower in 69th St. Junior Usher Board bus trip. We were in the balcony and the smoke was thick in the air. We all got contacts. My Mom and the other chaperones were all loose and giddy — they didn’t know why! LOL. In 2010, I took my Mom to a Stevie concert in Philly; we were both on our feet dancing for almost 3 hours.
If people haven’t seen Stevie in concert…it is a MUST! I hear you, Alycee….3 hours, on your feet, dancing and singing:) Awesome 🙂

Lawrence O’Donnell just said that Joe Biden has been the most effective VP in his lifetime. He also said that when he learned that candidate Obama had chosen Joe Biden for his VP, he was very impressed by this WISE decision. Lawrence knew how great Joe was.
