GM HZ. was looking for you the other day. Glad to see you posting again. How have you been feeling? I had Ablation Surgery on the 4th and after they got my meds straightened around, I am doing really good. I have my fingers crossed I won’t have to go the emergency and no more cardioversions. I have had to watch CNN this morning, part of my cable is out.
Glad to see you here again. (((((((hugs))))))

Roberta, how are you doing after your Ablation Surgery? Fine is my hope. I had an abalation surgery in 2006, and I came out fine. I have a great heart specialist. Love him. It was such an experience indeed. I have a great appreciation for great heart specialist and ofcourse my cardiologist. Wow !!

And I must say…. more than any accomplishment on policy, I think the greatest legacy of Barack Obama will be the building of a grassroots movement for change. He IS changing politics, he IS bringing ordinary citizens into the political process. This is, and has always been, his more important goal. Because he knows that everything is possible with an engaged citizenry.

Working for “the world as it should be”. Indeed Mr. President.

This is such an historic presidency, on so many levels !!

The original plans for her during a Romney presidency fell through…

This is plan B and goes to show just how shallow, desperate, idle and lame Condoleeza Rice really is…

What a sad place to be especially after having completely sold ones soul…

Not really worth it or worth much…

        • 36 Chi
          January 20, 2013 at 11:32 am

I think Dee Dee Myers is all about herself…

She’s exactly the sort of woman that makes you root against women in any capacity…

She’s got this spiteful, bitter streak about her and like so many Clintonites has gotten so used to the pay to play or I destroy you scheme…

Their instincts automatically turn to attack mode once they aren’t hired…it’s never about the Democratic party or preserving it…

They are about lining their pockets and staying relevant…

Just got off the Metro in DC, and saw Orly Tates (birther queen) making her way towards the White House with some fluorescent posters rolled up under her arm, likely going to spread more hatefulness. What drives some of these people so early on such a beautiful, sunny morning?

This morning I was watching Up with Chris Hayes and he had on the Democratic Senator from Ohio, Sherrod Brown. I was listening to something Brown had said and it hit me that in President Obama’s short time in Washington he was changed the landscape in such a profound way that it will never be the same. Gone is DADT, Immigration Reform will be the next domino to fall, and in a few months DOMA will be a sad relic of the past. I’ve often wondered why more Democratic Congress people don’t get on board with President Obama and I have come to the conclusion that they are not mentally prepared to reach such heights, most people in Congress are transactional, but President Obama is transformational. OFA is not for the transactional, it is for those that seek the “Promised Land” in that it is for those that want America to reach her full potential. I think history will judge President Obama, more than anyone else, as being the person to take us to the next level of what as a country we really want to be.

Well stated, Don. Transformational people are very hard to find in any institution. Transactional people fill every public institution, private corporation, university, etc. They’re necessary to keep the trains running, but they can’t conceive of new forms of transportation and change discomforts them. That PBO has inspired so many millions of people with his transactional ideas is a really a rare thing in history. He is a one of a kind.

Just skip the article (I dknow I don’t need to tell you twice) and scroll to the bottom where you will find 4—-count ’em! 4!—– videos of Perry’s performance last night. The first one is the one I just posted but the rest are there. Start from the last clip all the way up. The last clip is when she first came out, the last clip is her wrap up. The repubs. have nothing like it and this is why they will be defeated. Four years ago they had a small miserly group who planned to take down PBO and the country with him; we have thousands, meeting in the light, who will help PBO transform this nation to make it more fair, more inclusive, and more powerful in more meaningful ways. This century will be the American century in that we will finally live up to our ideals; a time where what it means to be American will be a colorful quilt that contains all of its citizens. This is what revolution looks like. The community organizer (how do you like him now Palin et al?) has done what no one has done before. he whose citizenship was questioned by the hateful, has taught so many of us what citizenship really is. I am so proud, so thankful, so fired up!

I watched Vice President Biden’s swearing in and it was beautiful to see his family and Justice Sotomayor. And I also noticed that Macie and Malia have the similar taste in clothing and hairstyle. I loved that little touch. We are soooooooo fortunate to have such a classy President and Vice President. I also loved the beautiful hug the Second Lady gave the Vice President. I love Dr. Jill. I also watched the wreath ceremony – beautiful and so solemn. And I also caught part of the Church service. I will watch the entire event later. I also watched the Presient’s first inaigural speech because I can NEVER get enough of my President. Now I have to get ready with breakfast goodies and coffee to wacth the PBO’s official swearing in. I am so excited. I feel like this is my Christmas. Thank you Chips so much. Just a wee reminder (good for the blood pressure too!): donna’s request to bring this over to Rise and Shine:)

Hey VC it’s gonna be 51 degrees in DC today. YIPPEE…Have I told you that I HATE cold weather?

I’m off for the National Day of Service. I’ll see you tomorrow VC.

Good Morning TOD, Have a wonderful day and an even better weekend. I’m going to ask a special favor of each of you and Ms. Chips forgive me if I’m overstepping my bounds.

I’ll be here doing what I can in support of President Obama and I promise to carry everyone of you that cannot make it to DC in spirit with me when I am out and about this weekend. I am extremely excited to be hosting the Meet-up on Sunday even though I got that highly coveted (at the last minute) invite to the OFA Legacy Conference for the same day as the meetup (Sunday). We TODers have plans to meet, eat, hug, chat and then there maybe a surprise guest (crossing my fingers), commemorative buttons are a plenty and I was hooked up with tickets to the Inauguration to give away so somebody is going to get a little better view of the Ceremony . Now although I wish I could magically be at both places at once I understand that that in life we sometimes have to sacrifice one great thing for another great thing. So with you all understanding that, here is the favor I’ll be asking of you….

For just Sunday and Monday while our President is taking his official oath and his public oath of office can we leave the negative commentary of those pesky pundits and cable shows at the door and not bring it here for just those two days? I don’t normally ask such a task and I’ve learned to accept that people have the right to vent, comment and discuss the good and the bad. Trust me that was a big step for me but this weekend is a celebration. It’s the reward of all the hard work that we put forth through that grueling campaign and we WON!!!. So to Hell with the pundits this weekend. Let them talk to the hand! Let’s just celebrate the moment and then on Tuesday we can go back to our regular scheduled program .

Have a great O’Weekend and Congrats to our great and wonderful President and Vice President.

p.s. Can someone repost this in the Rise and Shine for me and don’t forget to look for that “T” sign on TV by fellow TODer’s this weekend
