Today it was an honor and a privilege to meet fellow TODers who are not just great supporters of President Obama but are great people as well…
I met someone who was first inspired to volunteer for PBO because of something she read on TOD. She went outside of her comfort zone and turned into a phone banking beast.
I learned that one of our fellow bloggers was a local civil rights pioneer and today we stand on her shoulders.
Then we have the fellow TOD’er (she was a hoot today) who was in da house to witness live when PBO crooned ~~ I’m So in Love with You ~~ at the fundraiser in NY.
Colorado, Ohio and Virginia, three battleground states, were won due in part to the strong work of three TOD’ers who worked their hearts out for a victory on election night. High Fives all around for those remarkable OFA Team Leaders who became their very own community organizers!
Talk about dedication, we had PBO supporters who traveled all the way from Canada to witness the second Inauguration of President Obama.
Thanks to one of our TODers who invited Cousin Henry Healy of Ireland who tried to make it to the meet-up today but was not able to get away from an Irish Embassy event. He actually sent his apologies.
We ate, we laughed, we hugged but most of all we shared our love and admiration for the greatest President evah and in the end three fantastic bloggers walked away with two tickets each to witness the Inauguration tomorrow!
It was a great time had by all!

Congratulations to all the T who met today. How I missed being part of this feast of the hearts and souls. My plan to travel got butched when my friend got in an accident and is still at the hospital. To make matter worse, I broke a rib and didn’t think it was safe to venture to DC for many hours standing in the Mall. I am with you in thought and spirit, and read every blog Chpstick put up. I am so glad to have met ALL of you. Just getting in. Was this close( ) getting tickets to see Smokey Robinson at the Kennedy Center. Tired but really happy that I came this weekend. Last night visited Dr. MLK monument. The night is the best time to see how powerful this statue is in so many ways.
I am so grateful to be alive and have the Obama Family in the WH for another four years.

Just taking a late peek here. Did anyone go to the OFA (new OFA) big planning meeting at the DC Hilton today? I went for the morning and was VERY impressed. I am confident that OFA will put all its brainpower to work keeping us involved in passing the President’s agenda, understanding the issues, getting more Democrats elected in 2014 at all levels, etc.

I saw a T, I saw a T….how exciting to finally “see” some of y’all, and beautiful you all are….I can see in your faces the “family” trait that is shared by all…..joy, warmth, and sparkling love of PBO….it just jumps out from the picture….why, I expected you all to jump up from that table and start singing “Forward” and going out in the street holding up 4 fingers….Thank you so much for sharing your experience and Thank you Donna for making it happen….I know all of you will cherish the whole weekend.
