Bringing this over because, yes America, Mitt Romney is not human. No real human being interacts with others like this.

A multi-national company held a reception to celebrate Christmas. The waiter gave each guest a glass of champagne, but on inspection, each guest noticed that their glass contained a fly.

The Swede asked for new champagne in the same glass.
The Englishman demanded to have new champagne in a new glass.
The Finn picked out the fly out and drank the champagne.
The Russian drank the champagne, fly and all.
The Chinese ate the fly but left the champagne.
The Israeli caught the fly and sold it to the Chinese.
The Italian drank two thirds of the champagne and then demanded to have a new glass.
The Norwegian took the fly and went off to fish.
The Irishman ground the fly and mixed it in the champagne, which he then donated to the Englishman
The American sued the restaurant and claimed $50 million in compensation.
The Scotsman grabbed the fly by the throat and shouted, ‘Now spit out all that you swallowed.’

Rebecca and Benjamin, a young couple, were touring the Holy Land over the Christmas holiday period and decided it would be very meaningful to them to spend Christmas Eve in Bethlehem, the birth place of Jesus.

When they arrived they searched high and low all day for a room for that night. Finally Rebecca and Benjamin drove to the plush and rather expensive ‘Intercontinental Hotel’ in Bethlehem.

‘I’ll pop in and see what I can do,’ said Benjamin feigning confidence for his, now exhausted, young wife.

Benjamin approached the desk and the receptionist told him there were no rooms in the hotel and probably no rooms in the whole of Bethlehem. ‘Sorry, sir. It’s Christmas Eve, it’s probably our busiest time.’

No matter how much Benjamin offered to pay, the receptionist still replied that said he had no available rooms.

Finally, Benjamin said, ‘I bet if I told you my name was Joseph, that the woman waiting in the car was called Mary, and that she had a newborn infant, you’d find us a room for the night.’

‘Er….well,’ stammered the receptionist, ‘I…..I suppose, in that case, I would.’

‘OK, then,’ said Benjamin determinedly. ‘I guarantee you, they’re not coming tonight, so we’ll take their room.’

Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi has annulled a decree he issued last month that hugely expanded his powers and sparked angry protests, officials say.

However, a news conference in Cairo was told that a controversial referendum on a draft constitution would still go ahead as planned on 15 December.

Mr Morsi’s critics have accused him of acting like a dictator, but he says he is safeguarding the revolution.

He said the extra powers were needed to force through reforms.

Mr Morsi’s decree of 22 November stripped the judiciary of any right to challenge his decisions and triggered violent protests on the streets of Cairo.

“The constitutional decree is annulled from this moment,” said Selim al-Awa, an Islamist politician acting as a spokesman for a meeting Mr Morsi held with political and public figures on Saturday.

But he said the referendum on a new constitution would go ahead because it was not legally possible for the president to postpone it.

        Ok, how about this ?

Jesus came across an adulteress crouching in a corner with a crowd around her preparing to stone her to death. Jesus stopped them and said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”

Suddenly a woman at the back of the crowd fired off a stone at the adulteress. At which point Jesus looked over and said, “Mother! Sometimes you really tick me off!”

Three friends had a good friend named Joe and he was, naturally, an eternal optimist. At every bad situation he would always say: ”It could have been worse.” His friends hated that quality about him, so they came up with a story so horrible that not even Joe could come up with a bright side. So the next day, only two of his friends showed up for a golf date.

    Joe asked: ”Where’s Gary?”

And one of his friends said: ”Didn’t you hear? Yesterday, Gary found his wife in bed with another man, shot them both, and then turned the gun on himself.”

Joe says: ”Well it could have been worse.”

Both his friends said: ”How in hell could it be worse? Your best friend just killed himself!”

Joe says: ”If it had happened two days ago, I would be dead now!”

Yes a little romance is always a good thing. You have my favorite two things in it. The plaid sundress pics. The sport event kisscam moment and the FLOTUS smile in the red plaid. I love, love those moments. They always make me smile. Ya know, it’s a little weird shipping real peeps but I think I’ve actually become a PBO/FLOTUS shipper.

Thank you for sharing Susanne. I enjoyed reading that article and meeting the heroes again. It’s a good recap that Democratic time, technology and money were all well-spent. I am happy we had people who were intelligent, hard-working and focused on our side.

Chips, I love this update of one of my favorite videos. PBO just lights up and fills up when he is with Michelle. To see such mutual love shown without subterfuge or shame, somehow brings comfort and confidence even to those of us who are not a part of their intimate world of family and friends.

    • December 9, 2012 at 7:06 am

What a gift to wake up to. Thank you, Chips and bless you!!! I do not understand how anyone, in seeing these two and their deep and abiding love and respect for each other……and their girls, cannot understand that reflects the kind of man he is and the kind of woman she is. That canNOT be faked. Obviously, people don’t want to see it. 😦

Who in the world would attend loser Joe Walsh’s final town hall mtg? A 100 people(tea partiers) jammed in to hear him rave one last time, telling the attendees that their freedom was lost, that government was taking over everything, would take everything they have. Posting a link but no one needs to read one more word about lunatic Joe Walsh—–can’t wait for him to go poof.

Oh Chips you’ve outdone yourself ~ this is so so lovely. Aside from their obvious love & respect for one another, the beauty I see in our President & First Lady is their ‘normal-ness’ they are just so human, the way we humans all ought to be- they include us all in their love.. and that makes them Exceptional. Your video was tear-inducing, I must admit.

Thank you Chips for being so special to all of us. We have so much to be so grateful for on this beautiful journey, and with our lovely and brilliant President and First Lady, we will make this journey a worthwhile one indeed.

The video is just so beautiful. You lift our spirits to a level that bring so much hope and joyfulness within this space and within our spaces that we create in our homes as well.

A special hello and many prayful thoughts going out to our Fred(((((((((((((((( Healing hugs)))))))))))))))

Roberta, please take good care and get your rest. Jackie, I pray that your sister is doing well. Lots of love and hugs to all who may have family and friends who need us to lift them up in our prayers, meditation times and quiet times. We are a beautiful family who gives off the goodness of our light as our POTUS does each day of his life. ((((((((((((((((((( Blessings to our POTUS))))))))))))))))))))))HZ

This never, ever gets old. I saw this vid on a previous post and had either the vid or just the song playing in my studio all week. Such awesome inspiration, thank you Chips! This site has become stop #1 for me everytime I log onto the net now. =) Happy Sunday everyone.

The being of the video reminds me of the scenes in “When Harry met Sally” where the older couples talk about the first time they met and fell in love. The folks should add this in any new editions of the video. Very nice work Chips.
