Morning everyone 😉
Morning!
It’s Taiping!!!!!!!
Morning everyone 😉
Thanks Chips. You made my day. Now it’s off to walk-in clinic: colds, UTIs, back pain, headache etc.
Aw Taiping, are you suffering from all that?? Get yourself to the clinic – now!
LOL….you are something.
Taiping1 from this frequent client of health care facilities, please know that you and other health care providers have our gratitude for the personal and professional care you provide and above all for the kindness many give over and beyond the call of duty.
I love my patients and love what I do. I also get to counter misperceptions about Obamacare on a daily basis.
morning chips! thanks for posting these photos again. the shirt, of course, is always nice to see. but i truly love the one where pbo is winding up to strike that bell. i just see his little boy self in that, and it’s so beautiful!
Hello
🙂 Thanks for sharing it UT!! 🙂
This Christmas card is perfect!!! Just the one to send to my Repub brothers and cousins!
Know what you mean. I am up a little before my visiting brother from MT. He is all about guns, and loves Sarah Palin. Thinks this country is going to ruin under Obama. My other brother who lives next door is even more extreme as he wrote Ron Paul in on the ballot. I try to steer away from politics during holidays but they both go there and think of me as a Liberal nutcase. It tends to put a damp blanket on the holidays for me. I do not like to fight back but avoid due to my 88 yr old mom feeling depressed to hear us argue. I will be spending Xmas with my own grown kids and their families though (all Obama supporters) so that will be cheery.
I so understand OG. I have Repubs all in my family and I live in MT with someone like your brothers next door to me and I work with them. Good luck.
Funny how “sides” are formed in families – in 2012, it’s “the Obama side” versus the (fill in the blanks – I won’t go there) !!!
Hang in there, Obama Grandmama – understand why you are doing it, for your mom’s sake. My mother always “required peace” in the family, too!
OG, our Mom is also 88 and hates the arguing….. therefore I do my family visiting after New Years Eve, and also spend the holidays with my grown sons! Understand so well what you are talking about, even though I live in a different country than my siblings, the emails are full of strife!
Here’s some encouraging news, Obama Grandmama. Throughout the 2008 Presidential Election, one of my older sisters (I have 5 ), was for Hillary Clinton, so she never forgive our man O for beating Clinton in the Primary. This time around, however my sister said she just couldn’t
“stomach” Mitt Romney. She started reading more about President Obama and “discovered” he wasn’t “the empty suit” she thought he was. Now she’s quite impressed with him. President Obama has always said that once people get to know him, the learn to like him! So there’s always hope for your siblings, too!
Excellent Donna! I’ve a mind to copy this verbatim and just send that as my christmas card this year – Ha! Obama Grandma – if you read this you are a saint for not promoting arguing in front of your mom that’s gotta be difficult. At least for Christmas you can hang with people who are in the same side politically as you!
Oh, Donna, I love that – it’s exactly how I feel!
I PRAYED…I RECEIVED…AMEN…………..FORWARD….4 MORE YEARS!
Made it first! Just finished the last post 10 steps to victory: POTUS, FLOTUS, Bidens, Explainer in Chief, all of OFA: staff and volunteers, fired up voters, social media, and of course our very dear Chips! And all TODers
Humble Brag by fantastic designer Prabal Gurung. Obama 2012 was genius in all aspects.
Nice!
Good Morning Folks!
G’morning Chips, TOD, everyone! Congratulations taiping on #1 🙂
Mooooooooorning Hopefruit, morning everyone!
Good morning everyone. Have a beautiful weekend.
(((((((((WAKE UP))))))
GM folks.
Gunnite folks.
😆 I enjoyed that lengthy chat Amk, sleep well!
Good morning Chips and TODs, & have a wonderful day. I was just thinking how great PBO’s library will be one day, what with all of these historical pictures of the last few years. Well, Winter has arrived in Chicagoland & I don’t think I am ready for the cold (in & out with Pugs, etc.) Thanks for giving me something look FORWARD to everyday Chips, best blog ever! And to all the TODs also.
Same to you, Amk! Rest well, and pray there is no snow when you wake up. 😉 😉
Good Moooooorning all you O’s!!!!! Another great getting up day on the TOD stoop again. I’m still enjoying the visit by #1 and the grandkids. They brought No Dakota’s cold weather with them to my part of TODville. We’re enjoying our brief get together and I’m already looking forward to XMas, when they’ll be visiting again.
I haven’t been able to take advantage of any of the economy stimulative purchasing this week-end. I think, I’ll try some of that to help out my fellow Americans. Have a good one!
*on the TOD stoop*
Love it! Mornin’!
If anyone plans to shop today, this is the day to support small local businesses.
GM TOD.
Rise and shine, it’s a beautiful cold day in NYC.
Morning Ms Chips! (Snowy) Morning again to the rest of you!
Moooooooorning VC, keep cosy!!!!
That’s the plan…….
(while I mope over the fact that yesterday I walked to meet a friend nearby for a snack WEARING A T-SHIRT and running shoes). And don’t any of you glass half full TODobots tell me to celebrate the beautiful contrast between yesterday and today, and the marvel of nature being able to change her mind so easily!
President Obama Congratulates taiping1 on being # 1 . WoW
Good morning Todville and Chips.
Good morning everyone, a break in the rain… the birds are excited, lots of tiny bugs to eat! The snow is in the mountains, where it belongs, and the air is so far cool but mild! My weather report, off to work! I like that on the weekends there is not much traffic this early! Back in to see you are all resting and enjoying the day! (I mean you too, Chipsticks)! 🙂
I give Melisa Harris Perry 6 thumbs down for her cowardly letter to Cobbler. In essence she is too coward to write the President directly so she speaks indirectly to him through a turkey. Please, she needs to get a grip!!!! She can complain on White House.gov if she thinks President Obama should be pardoning human beings too.
Yes, I didn’t appreciate this at all. It’s passive-aggressive. Pardoning turkeys are a light-hearted national tradition that should not be mixed with serious policies of pardoning human beings.
Sometimes, MHP is a little immature in her thinking. This is one of those times.
Yeah THAT’S positive. AS IF there aren’t ANY strong and positive features of our nation, our people, our vast wealth and resources showing us a bright potential future. Asswipes.
One of the many who had their Dewey vs. Truman moment. He, he he!
Fox, Rove, Righties, the lying bishop, Scarborough, their various websites, Drudge, and now the National review. They tried to destroy pres Obama for 4 yrs and the biggest sad poopers were their hate, bigotry, birtherism, and their wicked ideology had kept them all stagnant and fatuously emotionally retarded. That on Nov 6, 2012…at 10:14PM ET, all their efforts were for Nothing. Most Americans and the world went PHEW!
Indeed.
Pictures like this, just remind me of all of the things we had to overcome, and makes our victory even sweeter.
Exactly!
#TrustBarack He’s Earned It
so true!
Good one. Call ’em out! 🙂
Totally O/T…but today is the OSU/Michigan game:) I hope my Buckeyes get this done today….even though they’re punished and can’t go anywhere after this game……
Good luck
Where is our President today?
He’ home w/ family and close friends chilling. He deserves this rest and recharge time.
Good. I agree.
Oh, GM EVERYONE, by the way!!! (Went straight to a little outburst up ther….;>) ) Who wants to comre over and rake leaves with me today??!?
How much you payin’?
TONS OF GRATITUDE!! Three dogs to play with! All the fruit roll-ups you want!
Puppies and fruit roll ups, eh?
You know….I have this thing to go to so….maybe next time.
OH I UNDERSTAND. PRIOR COMMITTMENT! Guess I’ll kick my eleven year-old in the a** and get him to help. He SHOULD just DO IT while I slurp coldones and type silly pointless stuff on TOD….. ;>)
Isn’t that why we have kids? 🙂
My son would have “allergy attacks” when it was time to cut our grass somewhere around that age (maybe a couple of years older), and then, I found out much later, he would go around the corner to a neighbor’s and cut his grass for the almighty dollar. (He’s still the industrious lad, and he’s 43 now! But I remind HIS KIDS of all of his antics, as often as I can! It’s what I do.)
Was it the dogs that decided it for you, GB? I have no dogs and no candy, but the gratitude will be enormous and of course the juice is all you can drink while raking. I would even throw in my company – I hate doing outdoor work alone! What say you?
$omething was mi$$ing. I can’t put my finger on it but I ju$t can’t quite…..ah well.
GB, I’ve tried but can’t quite keep my finger$ around that $pecial $omething either. I wonder why that’$ $o….ah well, I continue to hope thing$ will change $ometime $oon.
In the meantime, who says we have to rake the leaves anyway? I mean, who started this ritual and why? I’m going to leave mine right where they are and see what happens in the spring! I’ll call it my earth science experiment.
Ye$, $ame here. 🙂
Great week which includes some awesome photos. To busy working to comment but loved them all. What a terrific blogger you are chips. How you do all this amazes me but it is so appreciated.
Morning all, congrats taiping1
Just seen this
Now, that is awesome.
Thank you.
Okay….Amk……the estimated total votes for Pres Obama is 67, 924, 862. I am sorry. I had it digits wrong by 2. Roy Triexeira at Votamatic. Google has 84 different hits. DKos has a piece on the 9th of Nov. The Exerminer. Etc.
I know that Amk had left the site today for a well deserved beauty…..oops, handsome sleep. Oh well, I left you a little reply on the last thread. Then when I hopped to the R&S thread, I was a tad too late….you had left. So I went looking for the information.

Hey, Bob, I did not understand the percentage of the popular vote won by Romney. Is’t still 47.50%?
Thanks Bobfr.
I was already on the total numbers after all is said and done. Too impatient on my part? Perhaps. I also love the updates and I try my not so very best to try to monitor it daily.
Good Morning TOD family
I just received an email from an OFA teammate about Dec. 1st phone banking regarding the tax issue. They received an email I did not. I am thinking it was related to the website the President mentioned on his “post election” call. Can someone post that web address again? I am so excited to see my OFA buddies again and will enjoy calling Dems to urge them to support the President’s tax plan.
Forward……
Hmmm Could it be this Linda?

It is on the blog portion of “The Action” website it was for date 11.20.12 but maybe you have a “Theaction” staff member that is planning it for December 1st? We are having a rally and a vigil here for that date. Vigil is on 11.30 for 30 hours (to represent 30 days until the flscal cliff) and then the rally is on the 1st.
That is a start to what I needed. Thanks so much Alice.

Good read: http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/how-fighting-income-inequality-became-obamas-driving-force/2012/11/23/ab375434-3256-11e2-9cfa-e41bac906cc9_story.html?hpid=z2
Now back to my Buckeyes….
It really is an excellent read…very enlightening. Thanks, desertflower.
welcome, love:)
Another fabulous weekly round-up, THANK YOU Ms Chips!!!
Good morning Chips and TOD family. Woke up this morning to a big bang. Thought there had been a big explosion. Called 911, they said they didn’t know. Finally came out that our landfill had a planned explosion. Problem was they forgot to notify the people. Everyone’s alittle mad this morning.
Chips, that’s for the wonderful roundup. Love all the pictures. They really put a smile on my face! Have a great day.
you blow up trash in MT? kidding…that must have been more than a little unnerving! people SHOULD be peeved!
Not sure why they did this. Haven’t heard the reasoning yet. My dog was even shaking. Cleaning house now. Taking down the fall stuff, getting ready for Christmas stuff. Hope you have a great day.
You, too! Keep us posted:)
Just back from our road trip to Indy after festivities there with daughter and son in law and extended. Reporting in on political sightings as is my habit during the Obama years. Lots of Obama people still gloating—–Obama bumper remaining on lots of cars. Saw no Romney remnants——-they must have taken advantage of that gas station that was advertising “Romney bumper stickers removed for free”. Saw only one negative sticker—–some old geeze had a “Defeat Obama” sticker still embarrassing his back end. Noticed he didn’t mention Willard either. Mr. dotster warned me not to but I couldn’t resist giving him the “hahahahaha” mouthing as we passed by. Satisfaction! Our motel—–not exaggerating by much—–almost looked like an Obama convention was happening there. A bunch of Obama stickered cars lined up in the parking lot—–with license plates from Mo., Co., Mi., Wi. and Il., among others. And I even spotted a gal with a First Lady t-shirt on this a.m., big smiley Michelle face on it. So—lots of happy Obama people all about—-still proudly celebrating the sweet victory.
‘Tis the season!
So fun, right! Happy happy people.
I see MORE Obama bumper stickers now then during the election.
I was thinking the same thing. People are shouting Obama now! Maybe they were too nervous pre-election. I never did see any Romney bumper stickers but we had quite a few lawn signs in our area. But they were gone immediately—like people came out in the middle of the night post-election and threw those babies in the dump, getting rid of the evidence of ignorance, presto-change-o!
I saw less than five Robme bumper stickers and the folks who were driving were from the predominate demographic that voted for him. No surprise. Our handyman had a “I can’t afford another four years of Obama” sticker on his truck. Good thing for him I am not on the board this year.
My daughter’s neighbors took their down that night. 🙂 🙂 She took her Obama-Biden sign down mid-morning on Wednesday. She didn’t want to cause any more problems than there had already been……didn’t want to seem as if she was “rubbing it in” so felt that was the neighborly thing to do.
Sorry for duplicate dotster3. I am apparently blocked by Viqueira (not sure why) so can’t post his tweets.
PBO is out shopping with the girls at small business book store in Arlington VA 🙂
R.I.P. Larry Hagman . . .
Dallas was one of the best shows – the cheating, lying, intrigue!
BTW, Did they ever find out who shot JR Ewing?
Don’t mean to be as disrespectful as this sounds, but: I think he took that secret to his grave! Great actor!
It was 81 yrs of health issues later in life. He had a Liver transplant. Then he had throat cancer that ended taking his life. I could sworn that I had seen him on The View in Aug or Sept this year. Nothing was ever said about his health. I like him very much in the I Dream of Jeannie shows. TV Land, no doubt would have reruns in his remembrance. RIP Mr. Hagman.
I think he was also on Piers Morgan’s show in recent months, and looked great. RIP.
Yes. Was it not Bing Crosby’s daughter, Kathy or something……JR’s wife sister? I know that I stopped watching Dallas after that. Then they changed it and made it a some kind of a Dream……That did it and I Never watched another episode.
Random middle-of-the-day-comment…
You know what’s awesome cool? When your 16 y/o nephew tells you you’re an awesome cool aunt for using keyboard functions to help him format his school Essay.
You know what makes you feel old? When your 16 y/o nephew is shocked to find out that there existed a time when computers didn’t have a mouse interface. THEN proceeds to call his friends and discuss this new trivia like they are talking about Fred Flintstone’s bottomless car 😦 Sigh.
Hello, Chips and TOD.
Oh, I enjoyed that! Been there.
Keyboard functions? Mouse interface? Explain more please.
🙂
bah ha ha ha! I know the feeling! 😀
Your daily Pres. Obama news. I see some upthread wondering where he is. 😀
