Wonderful! For anyone who has never really felt astrology has much to offer, I highly recommend a sincere look at it again. This is an ancient science, all of our calendars are based around it, and those Magi? The 3 Kings, Wise Men, well, they were astrologers! Modernity likes to sweep that fact aside, but there is much to be gained and a broadening of thought forms to be had in studying the psyche! Try it, you’ll like it!

That was bloody brilliant. Conservatives really live in a delusional bubble; especially conservative writers who think their words and articles pre-election about a Romney landslide suddenly disappear into some invisible universe post-election.

I hope there will be afew more pictures of the First Family at the shelter. . Also I hope some one is listening to Hardball talking about these states which want to secede from the U.S. with the black President. The white guy up there said we need to call it just what it is racism.

    • 56 Nena20409
      November 21, 2012 at 5:32 pm

If Hardball and his Co were being factual…..why is it that NOT once did Chris Matthews or whomever say that in 1886 or thereof, seceding from the Union was deemed Unconstitutional. If those people in these states know what are in the Constitution, then the exercise displayed by Hardball was Bull Puckey. Lincoln fought to Keep the Union. SC found out the hard way when they wanted to secede. These hateful idits are just that…. amusingly telling tales as fools…..full of sound and fury, signifying Nothing.

If our side had lost, I can only imagine what they would be telling us and what we can do. Okay, here’s what I think, if you don’t want to be part of the United States any more because we have a black President, then get the first one way ticket to whitest country you can find and move there. You will not be missed. Not one dam bit.

When I get a chance to rebutt these haters. I always say to them. That they have an option to Self-Depart…..departure. They can not secede, but leaving USA on a jet plane, Via boats, ship, road or by walking……USA would never stop them. It is their right, their choice. I have yet to get any push back after this little tutorial.

In all the photos of President Obama’s recent trip, it looks like all went to great effort in preparation for his trip—–I noticed new flower plantings everywhere etc.——and quite a sight with all lining the streets in uniform clothing to welcome his arrival. I think I heard that Thailand PM singing “I’ve got a crush on Obama”. And interesting and colorful tree arrangement in The Shirt photo. Didn’t notice it right away. I was distracted. πŸ™‚

God bless Jesse Jackson and Jesse Jackson Jr. and their families. I hope he finds his way out of the dark tunnel he finds himself in, I have been through many dark tunnels in my life and to this day I donβ€˜t know how I got through them, I hope he can find comfort within himself. I remember Jesse Jackson in the early days fighting the good fight when others were silent, I remember him leading the protest, I remember him marching for the poor when there were no cameras. At the end of the day, a man’s good deeds will almost always outweigh his bad deeds.

      • November 21, 2012 at 6:21 pm

Probably a better way, but here’s what I do: After you send the tweet, click on the Details link of the tweet. It opens a page with the full tweet text and whatever media you included. When you have the Details page open, go up to your browser address bar and copy the URL of the tweet. Then paste that puppy here in your comment.

        Drink responsibly, dear! πŸ™‚

Don’t remind me of sweet potatoes. I have a sweet potato sad. I offered to bring whipped sweet potatoes as my contribution to our Thanksgiving din——because I had discovered this delish dish at the Fresh Market deli. I was considering presenting them as homemade as a little Thanksgiving trick—–or if my conscience started to pester me—-just fail to mention they weren’t homemade. So I waltz into the store yesterday to purchase my homemade offering—-and alas!—–all the smart people had pre-ordered this delicious discovery and they were out, no more available pre-holiday. Sooooo—–we are sweet potatoless for our din and it’s all my fault. Sob. And—-my Indy son in law is cooking for the first time ever, which should be interesting. My youngest daughter, his newish wife, inherited my culinary skills, so he has bravely volunteered. Forward.

This is an interesting article. I’m not sure I agree that Netanyahu did himself any favors by forcing a volatile situation in the Middle East, and creating a situation where President Obama had to continually express his support of Israel – even in the face of 150 dead mostly innocent Palestinians. But, the rest of the article has good analysis on the positioning of all the players out of this conflict. Netanyahu has probably further isolated Israel in this battle, and eroded more goodwill.

Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving Dudette! A Very Happy Thanksgiving also to all the members of TOD family. Today I am very, very, thankful to hear the news of ceasefire between Israel and Palestine. I hope one day the senseless violence between the two peoples, which has accomplished absolutely nothing for more than half a century, will end.

Finally, just wanted to give you, Dudette, a major shout out for humanizing this place with your marvelous music selections that capture the essence of what it means to be human. The last selection from Bob Dylan meant a lot to me because I have family members that are still going through hardships because of Sandy.

My favorite show – just introduced it to my children – and my favorite episode, or maybe that’s the phone police, or “Speed Kills, Dell”, or any episode with Dr. Johnny Fever. And maybe Venus Flytrap…

      • November 21, 2012 at 7:31 pm

Would LOVE to have the original episodes with the original music on DVD.

        • November 21, 2012 at 8:21 pm

Yeah, I was watching it on Hulu or Amazon Prime and because of royalty issues they couldn’t use the original music so they substituted some generic tunes. I was disappointed, but it’s still great. I did read a good story about the theme music. I spent every week trying to figure out the words (not the opening tine – the closing one). “The closing theme, “WKRP In Cincinnati End Credits”, was a hard rock number composed and performed by Jim Ellis, an Atlanta musician who recorded some of the incidental music for the show. According to people who attended the recording sessions, Ellis didn’t yet have lyrics for the closing theme, so he sang nonsense words to give an idea of how it would sound. Wilson decided to use the words anyway, since he felt that it would be funny to use lyrics that were deliberate gibberish, as a satire on the incomprehensibility of many rock songs.” They could have told me!

Is it me, or is Malia taller than PBO?

    • November 21, 2012 at 7:19 pm

It certainly looks like it. I’d bet money she has on flats. Maybe she’s standing on higher ground or something. Yikes.

      November 21, 2012 at 7:19 pm

Not yet. She is either 5′ 9″ or 5′ 11″. Her mom is taller than Malia. PBO is 6′ 2″ or 6′ 4″.

    • 148 dotster3
      November 21, 2012 at 7:32 pm

Both are really tall gals. I have a gr. daughter Sasha’s age who would appear to be a little shrimp next to her—about 8 inches shorter. Malia looks like she’s going to be 6′ or taller. I’m not sure where all that height is coming from. Both Barack and Michelle are fairly tall, but none of their ancestors look to be very tall.

        November 21, 2012 at 10:11 pm

I’m 5’9″ and I’ve always wanted to be taller. My daughter is 5’11” and I’ve always taught her to stand tall, because she’ll be the person everyone sees when she walks into a room…which suits her fine because she loves attention! LOL! Love you sweetie! Happy Thanksgiving!

    Washington, DC – Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Chief strategists for the McCain and Obama campaigns in 2008 discuss the outcome of the 2012 campaign at the University of Delaware Center for Political Communication.

David Plouffe, senior adviser to President Obama and 2008 Obama campaign manager, and Steve Schmidt, McCain 2008 chief strategist, join Ralph Begleiter, University of Delaware Center for political communication director and former CNN correspondent, for a discussion on the aftermath of the 2012 election.

This is a long presentation about an hour and a half with question and answer segment at the end. If you don’t have time to listen to the entire broadcast, try to listen to the first 30 minutes. I especially found Steve Schmidt’s analysis of the problems with his party very refreshing. I don’t expect anyone in the party to listen to him, but he says what needs to be said about the damage the loons and wackos are doing to the GOP.

Happy Thanksgiving to the USA, especially our wonderful sisters and brothers here at TOD. You have earned the best ever Thanksgiving Day because you re-elected the best ever president in the universe. Thank you for sharing him and his beautiful family with us, the rest of the world.

This Friday, I will be hosting my colleagues at work for lunch. I call it my ‘President Obama’s Re-election Victory Celebration’. I am keepimg a promise I made to them that after POB’s win (I had no doubt about that) I would treat them all with lunch. If you recover from tomorrow’s sumptuous meals, and you can find your way to that little gem in the Caribbean Sea called Montserrat, feel free to join us.

    Love you all
