I knew I should have gone… Now these pictures are making me cry, so so lovely, to walk in peace and love with this man, our President Barack Hussein Obama.

Me too. Everytime I look at him I feel so proud, my heart swells up. I pray for him and his family constantly. Did you see him barefeet and at ease?
Can you imagine the former contender walking around with his feet on the floor. Or better yet, can you imagine him walking around with people of color from another side of the world and not showing his disdain?
The President is a man of and for the times and we are so blessed to have him as the President.

The Great Man theory — I wrote a piece for The Obama Diary and my own (gardening) blog about the “Great Man” theory not long after President Obama’s first election — that when a troubled world needs a leader as miss pat puts it “for the times,” a Great Man rises up to take the reigns of leadership. We are so very fortunate that the United States, this country, has this man to be our leader.

Miss pat so beautifully stated. The President Who Walks With Peace and Calmness Within.” I feel proud, so blessed to be living during his presidency. Beautiful barefoot and President of all people. We are being represented by such a beautiful human being.

I also personally want to send ((((((((((((( Keep well to you))))))))))))))) miss pat.HZ

Now if these amazing photographs don’t leave you humbled and inspired – you are a soulless creature!! I am grateful to the good people of Thailand and Burma for being so warm and gracious to our President and SOS! I can tell from the pics that they are both overwhelmed by the hospitality they’ve been shown these past two days.

A hearty good morning to Chips, TOD, lurkers and everyone. Congratulations relellit on #1 🙂

When PBO first took office the situation in Burma was grim. It was one of those police states like North Korea — no one got in and no one got out. After the Christmas tsunami in 2004, the generals wouldn’t accept any aid, they were so paranoid about “outsiders” getting into the country for nefarious purposes. Secretary Clinton and President Obama have very skillfully acknowledged and encouraged the moves toward democracy. They’re both so amazing to watch.

Is it just me – or has there been a notable increase in the online media reporting of our President’s visit after the TOD Twitter brigade (and others) blasted the MSM for not covering the events last night?

Fantastic! Too legit gangnam style; our President can do it any style; Nena20409 . Unlike the FAUX NEWS ECHO CHAMBER he chooses not to do it doggy style. Our President is just too cool 😎 to stoop to their banal levels. He blows them out the water each and every day. How many of the hacks in the right wing nutjob Galaxy can be received with such love, admiration, and respect? NONE!

Major Garrett Named CBS News Chief White House Correspondent
The former CNN and Fox News White House correspondent will join CBS News full time effective Sunday after contributing over the course of the Presidential campaign as part of a partnership between the news division and National Journal where Garrett has worked.

As Chief White House Correspondent, Garrett will report for all CBS News broadcasts and platforms. He will also occasionally substitute as anchor of Face The Nation.

Prior to National Journal, Garrett was the Chief White House Correspondent for Fox News for eight years and a White House correspondent for CNN during the administrations of George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

I’m not quite sure how I feel about Garrett. I know he is a rightie; but I give credit for for leaving the FAUX Right Wing Nutjob Galaxy over @ FOX NOISE. I’m wondering did he just get sick of the deliberate lies?

      • 80 Nena20409
        November 19, 2012 at 11:07 am

Yes. I heard just right after he left that he would just like to report the news without all the partisan slant…..paraphrasing. He also worked for ABC News before he went to CNN.

      • 82 Chi
        November 19, 2012 at 11:30 am

Major Garrett is still very much a right wing hack…

He was part of those feverishly auditioning for the role of press secretary in what they’d hoped was going to be a Romney admin…

He is very partisan but is rather sly about it…

Wow … yes, the pictures are stunning as you say above; there is so much to take in my eyes can’t focus; It is like I want to see it all at once. And that sign ….omg … “you are the legend hero of our world,” that just breaks me up. Such love and hope.

  23. November 19, 2012 at 10:50 am

Thanks, Chips for this lovely post. However, many of the last pictures do not load on my iPad. LOVE what I can see. Thank you!!!!!

We are traveling so all I have is iPad. I won’t be able to read much of this thread so hope there’s a new one before too long. 🙂

Hi Tnmtngirl, I’m having trouble too with some of the photos in Firefox, but they all show up in Safari – very odd. I haven’t checked them on my iPad, but I usually have problems with that too. Annoying!

Meanwhile, Chips, I am crying all over again, it is so incredible to witness PBO and HRC in these lands, although I realize she has been laying the groundwork for some time now. Remember when we were in Australia and thought the Primes Minister was standing too close? Okay, I was reminded of that today and I’ve looked through the pictures here carefully and come to the grand conclusion…….ALL WOMEN (YOUNG OR OLD), when in the presence of this President, LOOK AT HIM WITH LOVE IN THEIR EYES! It just can’t be helped (unless you are an abnormal female). Of course, the fact that he probably has that twinkly I-CARE-ABOUT-YOU look in HIS eyes doesn’t make it easier. There! The matter is settled going forward! 😛

      November 19, 2012 at 11:10 am

You’re so right VC! He has a deep respect for women that cannot be feigned. The three closest individuals in his life right now are women. And that’s why we women respond so naturally to him.

      • 102 vcprezofan2
        November 19, 2012 at 11:17 am

I’m thinking, (one of those spur of the moment thoughts) maybe upon retirement PBO can run a ‘relationship school for males’ in which he models how to love the females in your lives, as well as those you encounter in your walk through life. Oh wait, he’s doing that on a day-to-day basis now, and the females are loving him back so naturally and effortlessly. Excellent evidence that love begets love!

Thanks to all of you TODers who worked so hard, and did what we couldn’t do ourselves to re elect him.
