Down to calling Ann the “love of his life” which I think President Obama recently said about Michelle. I had to come downstairs, watched the concession speech with hubby upstairs, the pundits (Rachel, Ed, and company) had sugar leaking out their pores afterwards; I could not take it; made hubby mad cause I was yelling at them.

Romney couldn’t even stay with the truth at the end. I’m sure Romney was the one who held out for 2 hours. Miss Ann must have told him it was over.

I love that the pundits are shown to be liars and enablers – I love that it was shown money can’t buy an election – AND if PBO was the color of his white mother – he would have won over 400 EVs

Congratulations everyone! WELL DONE OUR CHIPSTICKS! Even those who were faint of heart at times can soar with the feelings of what has happened tonight! The ship has been turned, thanks to the will and determination of one Barack Hussein Obama, whose vision never wavered in the face of a terrible foe. He could not have done it without us all, each and every one. He knows it. We know it. We are the ones we have been waiting for. And our Chipsticks? ~ there are no words gracious enough to envelope her dedication… I suggest she shall dance with the President AND the First Lady at the Inaugural Ball! And I shall recommend this to OFA! Brace yourself, Chips, and start looking for a gown!

Thanks Pamela for this beautiful comment. I am proud of the President, the Vice President and their incredible partners, FLOTUS SLOTUS. I am proud of the OFA team that worked tirelessly, day in and day out. I am proud of all Obama supporters, on this and other pragmatic blogs like TPV, POU, and BWD’s site, who never lost faith in the President. I think that tonight, the whole entire world is breathing a sigh of relief. After all, there are still many Americans who have not lost all sanity. Finally, let me join you in thanking Chipsticks for all the hard work she is put in running this site, even in those moments of doubts and despair. Let me also join you in thanking all the magnificent members of TOD family. One thing I especially appreciated was the many of the passionate supporters of the President never lost their sense of humor.

Begin rant: I can’t bear to listen to pundits waxing on about Romney’s “gracious” speech. Forget about the 18 months of lies and insults to the American people that came before – the secrecy and disregard for the truth. Let’s just praise him for the last moment, even though he insulted dead Americans and the sitting President of the United States, calling him a liar and corrupt. I detest Mitt Romney, and if i never see him again, it will be too soon. And these pundits make me sick too. End rant.

      You spoke for me…

It’s sickening that the media continues with it’s dishonesty…

Even with a win, President Obama is still being falsely portrayed by them as having lost and somehow Mitt Romney still wins…

It’s heady stuff, the sort that destroys dysfunctional societies…

Theo, I second your rant. I have sworn off msm for such a long time, but tuned in tonight after knowing we’d won. Now awful they are! Kept switching channels, looking for sanity. None! No wonder we are such a divided country. No wonder so many are uninformed, and filled with disrespect for our President. We simply MUST make this a priority, somehow, we must have a responsible media. This is simply shameful reporting on every one of the major networks. End my rant

    • 66 nathkatun7
      November 7, 2012 at 2:00 am

You know theo, as much as I want to be magnanimous tonight towards the Romneys, I agree with you 100%! LO and Rev.AL were more balanced in their praise. But as always all the other pundits were totally inflicted with Romenisia. It was as if all the lies he told and the way he, his wife, and his surrogates like John Sununu and Donald Trump, denigrated a sitting President never occurred. Tonight, all that was tossed into a memory hole.

it was a rejection of right wing ideology..against women…. voter suppression …it was a choosing of the vision that PBO laid out!

    President Obama’s message to supporters

I’m about to go speak to the crowd here in Chicago, but I wanted to thank you first.

I want you to know that this wasn’t fate, and it wasn’t an accident. You made this happen.

You organized yourselves block by block. You took ownership of this campaign five and ten dollars at a time. And when it wasn’t easy, you pressed forward.

I will spend the rest of my presidency honoring your support, and doing what I can to finish what we started.

But I want you to take real pride, as I do, in how we got the chance in the first place.

Today is the clearest proof yet that, against the odds, ordinary Americans can overcome powerful interests.

There’s a lot more work to do.

But for right now: Thank you.

    Barack
