Okay, I’m not getting emails about new posts so I can’t keep up! Thank God Nate says math favors the popular vote too. Now CBS saying it should have been a lay up for Romney. Romney was a problem-solver but didn’t understand problems. What?? This is just bizarre. Romney campaign unable to reach Latin@s, yeah because they couldn’t figure out that calling them illegals and trying to get rid of them was probably not so smart.

The GOP and media (and many voters) were delusional about who Mitt was, and his capabilities. He was a business man BEFORE he became governor, and he still ended up 47/50, only ahead of states who suffered under Hurricane Katrina. He is not a problem solver. He’s not a job creator. He’s a grifter, draft dodger, liar and charlatan. Period.

      • November 7, 2012 at 12:17 am

Agreed. That’s why the Obama campaigns ads resonated with people. He was telling the TRUTH.

      • 89 Chi
        November 7, 2012 at 12:45 am

The American media is a disgrace…

Now we have enterstainer Barbara Walters weighing in, grasping for the gutter with her bad wishes for President Obama’s second term…

She even goes as far as throwing out several scenarios for scandal in a second term and mentions Malia going to college…

        These people are pure evil…

God forgive me but it’s fair to say that Barbara Walters if she’s not careful will be off the air permanently by the 2nd year of President Obama’s term…

        • 90 theo67
          November 7, 2012 at 12:54 am

          Pure evil. I despise them.

        • 91 Obama Grandmama
          November 7, 2012 at 1:22 am

Barbara Walters was talking about all second term presidents lose support and end up unpopular (my translation). She mentioned potential for scandals as the girls would be getting older and other possibilities. It was pretty biased and surprising to me. This was not the night to speak as she did with such negativity.

This man is different than most. I expect some disappointments since you never can please all the people all of the time. I also expect some great achievements based on his lifetime political history of tremendous achievements. Most of all I am thrilled he will be there to protect ACA and to have his wise decision making in world events. I feel I can sleep more easily knowing he is the one to make that 3am decision. Oh, ya I am glad to not have to worry about my Medicare or Social Security too.

Picture this: myth gets up on stage and thanks everyone, truly believing he has won the election and he is to be the next president. Then his little obsessive-compulsive wife comes out, hooks his lead to his collar and takes him home, to sit in his car in the elevator, fantasizing that he I president. Like in Star Trek when they captured people in the holodeck for eternity, and they never knew. Is that cruel? Or just?

    • 98 theo67
      November 7, 2012 at 12:17 am

    Florida is looking good
One of the closest battleground states yet to be decided is Florida, where President Obama leads Mitt Romney — with 96 percent of precincts reporting — by roughly half a percentage point.

Most of the counties have reported most of their results, but one fairly large chunk of ballots that has yet to be counted is in Miami-Dade County, where 83 percent of precincts have reported. Miami-Dade County is heavily Hispanic and favorable terrain for Mr. Obama. He currently leads Mr. Romney there, 62 percent to 37 percent.

    • 160 Melanie

3 Alaska, Florida and Virginia. Also whatever is left of Ohio. But they may also still be counting some west coast votes. As of 12:25am Romney is leading by 339 popular votes.

    • 161 lisalovesobama

      November 7, 2012 at 12:30 am

He is only leading by about 150,000 nationwide and the West coast states are not yet counted in the popular vote totals. Predictions are that should give another million or so votes to PBO and give him a definite win in popular vote.

    I just received this email….

    Gail —

I’m about to go speak to the crowd here in Chicago, but I wanted to thank you first.

I want you to know that this wasn’t fate, and it wasn’t an accident. You made this happen.

You organized yourselves block by block. You took ownership of this campaign five and ten dollars at a time. And when it wasn’t easy, you pressed forward.

I will spend the rest of my presidency honoring your support, and doing what I can to finish what we started.

But I want you to take real pride, as I do, in how we got the chance in the first place.

Today is the clearest proof yet that, against the odds, ordinary Americans can overcome powerful interests.

There’s a lot more work to do.

But for right now: Thank you.

    Barack

This is his last grab at attention-getting, and it is very tiresome. Those of us, the middle class, upon whose backs this entire economy is loaded, must get our butts to work tomorrow, perform to a high standard, and then carry on with cooking, cleaning and doing laundry. Not that this asshole would have an idea what I am talking about. He will skulk off to his private island somewhere, sulk and pull his I’m so sad crap, then he will start planning his next assault on America. People like him do not lose easily. His fantasy owns him.

Except for one remark …. when he said he was sorry he was not going to get a chance to lead this country in a DIFFERENT direction (paraphrasing but I think that is almost exactly what he said) he spoke truth: because he wanted to lead this country BACKWARDS not FORWARD! Back to when the rich get richer while the poor get poorer, back to when women in this country had little or no rights, etc.
