[2nd to last paragraph made me smile!]:

Yes, those hard-hitting questions keep coming for the candidates, even on Election Day: President Barack Obama was asked by one interviewer Tuesday about the “Gangnam Style” dance craze.

During a radio spot with WZID-FM in New Hampshire, the commander in chief was pressed on whether he and first lady Michelle would do a rendition of the South Korean rapper PSY’s hit, which has hundreds of millions of views on YouTube.

“I just saw that video for the first time,” Obama replied. “I think I can do that move. But I’m not sure that the inauguration ball is the appropriate time to break that out.”

“Maybe,” he concluded, “do it privately for Michelle.”

Pregnant woman votes en route to hospital to give birth

NBC Chicago – For anyone who ever thought they were too busy to vote, meet 21-year-old Galicia Malone.

The south suburban Dolton mom-to-be was spotted at her polling place Tuesday morning on her way to give birth at a local hospital.

Cook County Clerk David Orr said Malone’s contractions were five minutes apart when she showed up around 8:30 a.m. at her precinct’s location named, yes, New Life Celebration Church.

The clerk’s office said Malone’s water had already broken when she made the stop to vote in her first presidential election.

So, I live in Omaha, NE. Today, I’m working at one of my law firm internships (everyone in the office voted for Pres. Obama, by the way! :-)). Anyways, one of our clients–a mid-20’s young guy–comes in. And, he hadn’t voted! “So busy”, he said. I think we convinced him to take the time to vote today. Luckily, I remembered the site gottavote.org and so I quickly typed in his address and told him where his polling place was. He also said he would have his kid and didn’t know if he could take her with him. I said, “of course you can! And you should! What a great and important experience it would be for her, especially at this time and for this historic president!”

Hope the panel on Bashir is right—–hearing that Va. voting numbers are surpassing ’08, which would be very encouraging news.
In the meantime, this waiting is torturous, and I’m not kidding. I’ve got on my Obama hoodie (very important!), made calls to Iowa, made sure all family members have voted (or are voting), the vino is chilling, scouring the internets madly searching for someone guaranteeing an Obama victory so I can breathe again—-oy and yikes and ay yi yi.

Okay. Now I tried to do this a few minutes ago for one of the staff, an Ethiopian woman but US citizen, her paper ballot never arrived. She is determined to vote. When I typed in her address and zip, from my iPad, the site kept taking me back to my own zip code, telling me I am not registered at that address! (I knew that!) so, I gave her gotta vote.org, she will try from her own phone. We are presuming there will be voting in a library near her. Fingers crossed, she will be very sad if she doesn’t get to vote, her first time! Obama~Biden!

I’m one of those who are worried. Why? I don’t know I have a nervous feeling in my stomach but i have faith that he will win. Virginia will tell us how the night will go. If Obama wins Virginia then it will be a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng night for Mitt Romney. He will have to run the tables and win IOWA, WISCONSIN, OHIO, NEVADA and Florida. He is currently losing 4 out of the 5 and tied in Florida. That state will tell us the direction voters are going because the last poll that was taken had obama up 4 points. If he wins that state then it will be a good night for Obama and I can relax and watch the rest of the news tonight.

Chrysler Rejects Voter Suppression by Giving Its Entire Workforce the Day Off to Vote

    By: Sarah Jones

Romney doesn’t seem to understand that Chrysler and GM take pride in more than just the money they make, they take pride in the communities built by their employment. They don’t like seeing their employees scared by Romney’s lies about their jobs being shipped overseas. It also hurts morale, which isn’t something a vulture capitalist would know much about since their job isn’t to build a business but rather to harvest it.
Just for the record, the Jeep Wrangler is made in America and Chrylser is not moving production to China, Italy or any other country. They are, however, letting their employees have the day off so they can exercise their freedom. Republicans will never forgive them.

Obama Has Compassion, Morality, and a Patriotism that Romney Can’t Comprehend

    By: Rmuse

What is most admirable about President Obama is that despite Republicans holding the full faith and credit of the United States hostage, causing a first-ever credit downgrade, attempting to destroy social safety nets, and perpetual obstructionism, he maintained his dignity and worked to serve the entire population. This African American President epitomizes integrity of purpose and love for his country while recalcitrant Republicans have sought to destroy (under the guise of religious liberty) decades of struggle to ensure every American enjoys equal rights guaranteed in the Constitution. He is the polar opposite of the Republican standard bearer, Willard Romney, who lacks integrity and morality his party eschews as weakness, and considers lies and deceit in the pursuit of profit and power a valuable asset that most Americans find repulsive. But that is the 2012 Republican Party; a corrupt, anti-American, anti-government assembly of racists, religious extremists, and greedy savages devoid of regard for Americans.

Here is a nice update to share with you all. Remember the couple here whose son hosted PBO back in May, and they attended, of course! Last week, the little lady told me we MUST make time before election day to have her show me the album. We tried, no success until today at lunchtime. So, while I ate my salad, she turned the pages and told the story, and for her it was just as fresh and exciting as the day it happened! The album is lovely, the photographs exquisite, PBO dashing and to stand by her and hear her describe him, so delightful and satisfying for me!

I am hearing a number of people here report they are very nervous, if not downright scared that the crooks and liars will rig the election all across the country. I offer a calm voice, and tell them to be not afraid. Lady is dozing, I am supposed to be doing logs, but I need to be here with all o’ y’all for a bit. Then I will work. Thanks Pamela. I think I will sneak off to our back room in the office in a while and meditate. Your message is great. And it did help to have our clients last hour walk in and state right off that they had just come from voting a straight Democratic ticket for the first time in their lives (they are roughly my age, 60ish), are Democrats, and put an Obama sign in their yard to show their neighbors that they are entitled to their opinions. See at our office, it is a private practice, my husband/therapist insists I am apolitical, and rightfully so. But since the clients in front of me said all this out loud, I was able to give them a thumbs up!

  39. November 6, 2012 at 5:22 pm

I voted today yeaaaaah! finally got my chance. So did my husband, son and daughter. 4 more votes for 44.
I went phone banking after voting, just to keep from being too jittery. Between yesterday and today’s phone banking, made over 300 calls to help get out the vote in NJ. Just got back home and checked in to TOD as I don’t
want the MSM messing with my head this early. Will have to go through and catch up on all I’ve missed today.

Thanks for the great pics on this thread Chips.

A good way to kill time on his early evening is to use the Obama. Call from home tool. I used it this afternoon to make just over 20 calls to NH! It was a joy to do that! Do you part if you can. Honestly, it is such a great easy tool to use to connect with voters, remind them it ie election day and that there is still time to get to their polling place!

TOD family we are feeling good. Get in line, Stay in line, and tell your family, friends, and neighbors to Get In Line, Stay In Line, And Vote in the booth.

I went to the polls at 7:30 AM. Greeted by a beautiful young lady at the door, line was fine, and I was out in about 8 minutes. Felt So Peaceful and so Great!!!!

Went to run some very important errands and I was speaking, stop and asking me, “Did you vote?” Some had their sticker on, and others did not, so I talked to them. They promised to go after work. I spoke with 8 people. Three were young people.

Here is a great one. I went to Trader Joe in a little town west of where I live.(Been going there for over 10 years) Went to get a basket right outside the door. I heard this loud(but pleasant music) playing Arethea Franklin, then some RB, and then some great up beat tunes. Loud. I started to dance a little and sing along as I picked up my items of food. The spirit in the store was never like I have seen before.

People have the fever for this election and there is a spirit in the air for a lot of goodness. I still feel that “sweet peace in my spirit” that we are going to win this with great numbers.

I have friends who have texting me all day from different states and cities, and they are sharing with me that the people are in line and staying in line. I believe that this is going to be a great night.

Get your tea, coffee, wine, steaks, desserts, chips, candles, and music and let this be a grateful evening.
I also spoke with some dear, dear, dear family and friends who said that AA are angry because they feel that so many people before them and even now feel that they have given too much to get this right.

I have some very dear and very close family members and friends who are lawyers working in many states, and they are determined to make sure that this is Not stolen from POB where these Repubs are in charge and trying to steal the votes. These people are very serious to protect the citizens.

I have my all night goodies ready. Gut is acting up(after eating around 1:00, but I am pulling the meds. Nothing will take the good things that I am placing into my space. And please TOD family, do not allow any bad energy to come into your space. Be with POB and VPBiden. Be joyful and be grateful.
